1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,	1 La parole du Seigneur me fut adressée en ces termes:
2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;	2 Toi donc, fils de l'homme, prononce une lamentation sur Tyr;
3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.	3 et tu diras à Tyr qui habite à l'entrée de la mer, qui est le siège du commerce des peuples avec les îles nombreuses: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Dieu: O Tyr, tu as dit: Je suis parfaite en beauté,
4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.	4 et située au coeur de la mer. Tes voisins qui t'ont bâtie t'ont rendue parfaite en beauté.
5 They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.	5 Des sapins de Sanir ils t'ont construite avec toute ta charpente; ils ont pris un cèdre du Liban pour te faire un mât.
6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.	6 Ils ont taillé les chênes de Basan pour préparer tes rames; ils ont fait tes bancs avec l'ivoire des Indes, et tes chambres avec les produits des îles d'Italie.
7 Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.	7 Du fin lin d'Egypte muni de broderies, on a tissé la voile suspendue à ton mât; l'hyacinthe et la pourpre des les d'Elisa ont servi à tes tentures.
8 The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.	8 Les habitants de Sidon et d'Arad ont été tes rameurs; tes sages, ô Tyr, sont devenus tes pilotes.
9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.	9 Les vieillards de Gébal et ses hommes les plus habiles ont eu des marins pour le service de tout ton matériel; tous les navires de la mer et tous leurs marins ont été employés à ton commerce.
10 They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.	10 Les Perses, les Lydiens et les Libyens étaient tes guerriers dans ton armée; ils ont suspendu sur toi leurs boucliers et leurs casques pour te servir d'ornement.
11 The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.	11 Les fils d'Arad avec tes troupes étaient sur tes murs tout autour, et les Pygmées, qui étaient sur tes tours, ont suspendu leurs carquois à tous tes murs; ils ont rendu ta beauté parfaite.
12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.	12 Les Carthaginois trafiquaient avec toi, à cause de la multitude de toutes tes richesses; ils ont rempli tes marchés d'argent, de fer, d'étain et de plomb.
13 Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.	13 La Grèce, Thubal et Mosoch trafiquaient avec toi; ils amenaient à ton peuple des esclaves et des vases d'airain.
14 They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.	14 De Thogorma on conduisait à tes marchés des chevaux, des cavaliers et des mulets.
15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.	15 Les enfants de Dédan trafiquaient avec toi; le commerce d'îles nombreuses était dans ta main; on échangeait contre tes marchandises des dents d'ivoire et de l'ébène.
16 Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.	16 Le Syrien trafiquait avec toi à cause de la multitude de tes produits; ils exposaient sur tes marchés les perles, la pourpre, les vêtements de tricot, le fin lin, la soie et les pierres précieuses.
17 Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.	17 Juda et le pays d'Israël trafiquaient avec toi; ils exposaient sur tes marchés le pur froment, le baume, le miel, l'huile et la résine.
18 Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.	18 Damas trafiquait avec toi à cause de la multitude de tes produits, à cause de la multitude de tes diverses richesses, t'apportant du vin excellent et des laines d'une couleur exquise.
19 Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.	19 Dan, la Grèce et Mosel ont exposé sur tes marchés le fer ouvragé; la casse et le roseau aromatique faisaient partie de ton commerce.
20 Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.	20 Ceux de Dédan trafiquaient avec toi en tapis pour s'asseoir.
21 Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.	21 L'Arabie et tous les princes de Cédar trafiquaient à ton service; ils venaient te vendre des agneaux, des béliers et des boucs.
22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.	22 Les marchands de Saba et de Réma trafiquaient avec toi; ils exposaient sur tes marchés tous les meilleurs aromates, les pierres précieuses et l'or.
23 Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assur, and Chilmad, were thy merchants.	23 Haran, Chéné et Eden trafiquaient avec toi; Saba, Assur et Chelmad te vendaient leurs marchandises.
24 These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.	24 Ils trafiquaient avec toi de diverses manières: en manteaux couleur d'hyacinthe, en broderies, en précieuses étoffes qui étaient enveloppées et liées de cordes; ils trafiquaient aussi avec toi pour des bois de cèdre.
25 The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.	25 Les vaisseaux de la mer étaient la force principale de ton commerce; tu étais au comble de la richesse et de la gloire au coeur de la mer.
26 Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.	26 Tes rameurs t'ont conduite sur les grandes eaux; le vent du midi t'a brisée au coeur de la mer.
27 Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.	27 Tes richesses, tes trésors, ton commerce considérable, tes marins et tes pilotes, qui dirigeaient ton trafic et qui commandaient à ton peuple, tes guerriers qui étaient en toi, avec toute la multitude qui était au milieu de toi, tomberont dans le coeur de la mer, au jour de ta ruine.
28 The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.	28 Au bruit des cris de tes pilotes, les flottes seront épouvantées.
29 And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;	29 Tous ceux qui tenaient la rame descendront de leurs vaisseaux; les marins et tous les pilotes de la mer se tiendront à terre;
30 And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:	30 ils se lamenteront sur toi à haute voix, ils crieront amèrement, ils se jetteront de la poussière sur la tête, et ils se couvriront de cendre,
31 And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.	31 ils se raseront les cheveux à cause de toi et se ceindront de cilices; ils pleureront sur toi dans l'amertume de leur âme, ils pleureront amèrement.
32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?	32 Ils prononceront sur toi un chant lugubre et ils se lamenteront sur toi: Qui est semblable à Tyr, qui est devenue muette au milieu de la mer?
33 When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.	33 Toi qui par ton grand commerce sur la mer as rassasié des peuples nombreux; qui, par la multitude de tes richesses et de tes peuples, as enrichi les rois de la terre,
34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.	34 maintenant tu as été brisée par la mer; tes richesses sont au fond des eaux, et toute cette multitude qui était au milieu de toi est tombée.
35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.	35 Tous les habitants des îles sont dans la stupeur à cause de toi, et tous leurs rois, abattus par la tempête, ont changé de visage.
36 The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.	36 Les marchands des peuples ont sifflé sur toi; tu es réduite à néant, et tu ne seras plus, à jamais.
