1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.	1 Au maître de chant. Des fils de Coré. Sur l’air “les jeunes filles…”. Cantique.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;	2 Dieu est pour nous l’espérance, la force, le secours près de nous au moment du péril:
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.	3 nous n’avons pas de crainte: le monde peut trembler, les montagnes s’enfoncer au cœur des mers.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.	4 Leurs eaux peuvent mugir et bouillonner, se soulever jusqu’à ébranler les monts. Le Seigneur Sabaot est avec nous, le Dieu de Jacob s’est fait pour nous forteresse.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.	5 Un fleuve - ses canaux réjouissent la cité - sanctifie les demeures du Très-Haut.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.	6 Dieu est au milieu d’elle, elle ne bougera pas, Dieu la secourt à l’approche du matin.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.	7 Les nations mugissaient, les royaumes s’ébranlaient, il donne de la voix et le monde se défait!
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.	8 Le Seigneur Sabaot est avec nous, le Dieu de Jacob s’est fait pour nous forteresse.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.	9 Allez voir les œuvres du Seigneur, voyez les ravages qu’il a faits sur cette terre.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.	10 Il a fait taire les armes jusqu’au bout du monde, il a brisé l’arc et cassé la lance, il a mis le feu aux chars.
11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.	11 “C’est assez, sachez que je suis Dieu bien au-dessus des nations, au-dessus de la terre.”
