1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.	1 Alléluia! Ô mon âme, loue le Seigneur!
2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.	2 Toute ma vie je voudrais le louer, et chanter pour lui tant que je suis là.
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.	3 Ne comptez pas sur les grands, sur quelque personnage qui ne vous sauvera pas.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.	4 Que de lui l’esprit s’échappe, il retourne à sa poussière, et le jour même c’en est fini de ses projets.
5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:	5 Heureux celui qui a pour lui le Dieu de Jacob, et dont l’espoir est en Yahvé son Dieu!
6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:	6 C’est lui le créateur du ciel et de la terre, de la mer et de tout ce qu’on y trouve. Jamais il ne revient sur sa fidélité;
7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:	7 il fait justice aux opprimés, il donne le pain aux affamés. Le Seigneur renvoie libres les prisonniers,
8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:	8 le Seigneur ouvre les yeux de l’aveugle, le Seigneur redresse celui qui va courbé,
9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.	9 Le Seigneur protège l’émigré, il rend courage à l’orphelin, à la veuve. 8c Le Seigneur aime les justes. 9c mais il fait que s’égare la voie des méchants.
10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.	10 Le Seigneur est roi à jamais; ton Dieu, ô Sion, règne d’âge en âge.
