1 Then Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the LORD appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.	1 Salomo begann das Haus des Herrn in Jerusalem auf dem Berg Morija zu bauen, wo der Herr seinem Vater David erschienen war, an jener Stätte, die David auf der Tenne des Jebusiters Ornan bereitet hatte.
2 And he began to build in the second day of the second month, in the fourth year of his reign.	2 Den Bau begann er im zweiten Monat, im vierten Jahr seiner Königsherrschaft.
3 Now these are the things wherein Solomon was instructed for the building of the house of God. The length by cubits after the first measure was threescore cubits, and the breadth twenty cubits.	3 Dies sind die Grundmaße, die Salomo für den Bau des Hauses Gottes festlegte: die Länge sechzig Ellen [die Elle nach dem früheren Maß gerechnet], die Breite zwanzig Ellen.
4 And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was an hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold.	4 Die ihm vorgelagerte Halle hatte eine Länge von zwanzig Ellen, der Breite des Hauses entsprechend, und eine Höhe von zwanzig Ellen. Er überzog sie innen mit reinem Gold.
5 And the greater house he cieled with fir tree, which he overlaid with fine gold, and set thereon palm trees and chains.	5 Den großen Raum verkleidete er mit Zypressenholz und überzog ihn mit echtem Gold. Daran brachte er Palmen und Girlanden an.
6 And he garnished the house with precious stones for beauty: and the gold was gold of Parvaim.	6 Das Haus schmückte er mit kostbaren Steinen. Das Gold war Parwajimgold.
7 He overlaid also the house, the beams, the posts, and the walls thereof, and the doors thereof, with gold; and graved cherubims on the walls.	7 So überzog er das Tempelhaus, die Balken, die Schwellen, seine Wände und Tore mit Gold und ließ in den Wänden Kerubim eingravieren.
8 And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.	8 Dann machte er den Raum des Allerheiligsten. Dieser hatte eine Länge von zwanzig Ellen, der Breite des Hauses entsprechend, und eine Breite von zwanzig Ellen. Er überzog ihn mit reinem Gold im Gewicht von sechshundert Talenten.
9 And the weight of the nails was fifty shekels of gold. And he overlaid the upper chambers with gold.	9 Für die Nägel brauchte er Gold im Gewicht von fünfzig Sekeln; auch die Obergemächer ließ er mit Gold überziehen.
10 And in the most holy house he made two cherubims of image work, and overlaid them with gold.	10 Im Raum des Allerheiligsten fertigte er zwei Kerubim in Bildhauerarbeit; man überzog sie mit Gold.
11 And the wings of the cherubims were twenty cubits long: one wing of the one cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was likewise five cubits, reaching to the wing of the other cherub.	11 Die Flügel der Kerubim waren zusammen zwanzig Ellen lang. Der Flügel des einen war fünf Ellen lang und berührte die Wand des Hauses, der zweite Flügel war ebenfalls fünf Ellen lang und berührte den Flügel des anderen Kerub.
12 And one wing of the other cherub was five cubits, reaching to the wall of the house: and the other wing was five cubits also, joining to the wing of the other cherub.	12 Der eine Flügel des zweiten Kerub war fünf Ellen lang und berührte die Wand des Hauses; auch der andere Flügel war fünf Ellen lang und stieß an den Flügel des ersten Kerub.
13 The wings of these cherubims spread themselves forth twenty cubits: and they stood on their feet, and their faces were inward.	13 Die Flügel dieser Kerubim breiteten sich also in einer Weite von zwanzig Ellen aus. Sie selbst standen auf ihren Füßen. - Ihre Gesichter waren dem Tempelhaus zugewandt.
14 And he made the vail of blue, and purple, and crimson, and fine linen, and wrought cherubims thereon.	14 Den Vorhang ließ Salomo aus violettem und rotem Purpur, Karmesin und Byssus verfertigen und darauf Kerubim anbringen.
15 Also he made before the house two pillars of thirty and five cubits high, and the chapiter that was on the top of each of them was five cubits.	15 Für die Vorderseite des Hauses machte er zwei Säulen von achtzehn Ellen Länge. Das Kapitell darauf maß fünf Ellen.
16 And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made an hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains.	16 Er verfertigte Girlanden nach Halskettenart und brachte sie oben an den Säulen an. Dazu machte er je hundert Granatäpfel und befestigte sie an den Girlanden.
17 And he reared up the pillars before the temple, one on the right hand, and the other on the left; and called the name of that on the right hand Jachin, and the name of that on the left Boaz.	17 Die Säulen stellte er vor dem Tempel auf, die eine rechts, die andere links; die rechte nannte er Jachin und die linke Boas.
