1 Svi su Izraelci bili upisani u plemenskim rodovnicima, a zapisani su i u Knjizi izraelskih kraljeva. A Judejci su zbog nevjere bili odvedeni u sužanjstvo u Babilon.	1 Thus, al Israel's official genealogies had been entered in the records of the kings of Israel and Judahbefore they were deported to Babylon for their infidelity.
2 Prvi su stanovnici na svojem posjedu i u svojim gradovima bili Izraelci, svećenici, leviti i netinci.	2 Now the first citizens to return to their property in their cities were the Israelites, the priests, the Levitesand the temple slaves.
3 U Jeruzalemu su živjeli ljudi od Judinih sinova, od Benjaminovih sinova, od Efrajimovih i Manašeovih sinova, i to:	3 In Jerusalem, there settled Judaeans, Benjaminites, Ephraimites and Manassehites.
4 Utaj, sin Amihuda, sina Omrija, sina Imrija, sina Banija, od sinova Judina sina Peresa.	4 Uthai son of Ammihud, son of Omri, son of Imri, son of Bani, one of the sons of Perez son of Judah.
5 Od Šilonaca: Asaja, prvenac, sa svojim sinovima.	5 Of the descendants of Shelah: Asaiah, the first-born, and his sons.
6 Od Zarehovih sinova: Jeuel i njegova braća, šest stotina i devedeset.	6 Of the sons of Zerah: Jeuel. And six hundred and ninety of their kinsmen.
7 Od Benjaminovih sinova Salu, sin Mešulama, sina Hodavje, Hasenuina sina;	7 And of the sons of Benjamin: Sal u son of Meshul am, son of Hodaviah, son of Hassenuah;
8 Ibneja, Jerohamov sin, i Ela, sin Uzije, Mokrijeva sina, i Mešulam, sin Šefatje, sina Reuela, Ibnijina sina.	8 Ibneiah son of Jeroham; Elah son of Uzzi, son of Michri; and Meshul am son of Shephatiah, son ofReuel, son of Ibnijah.
9 Imali su po svojim rodovima devet stotina pedeset i šestero braće. Svi su oni bili glavari, svaki svoga roda.	9 Their kinsmen, according to their relationship, numbered nine hundred and fifty-six. Al these men werechiefs of their families.
10 Od svećenika: Jedaja, Jojarib i Jakin,	10 Of the priests there were Jedaiah, Jehoiarib, Jachin,
11 Azarja, sin Hilkije, sina Mešulama, sina Sadoka, sina Merajota, Ahitubova sina, predstojnik doma Božjeg.	11 Azariah son of Hilkiah, son of Meshul am, son of Zadok, son of Meraioth, son of Ahitub, the chief ofthe Temple of God;
12 Adaja, sin Jerohama, sina Pašhura, Malkijina sina, Masaj, sin Adiela, sina Jahzere, sina Mešulama, sina Mešilemita, Imerova sina.	12 Adaiah son of Jeroham, son of Pashhur, son of Malchijah; and Maasai son of Adiel, son of Jahzerah,son of Meshullam, son of Meshil emith, son of Immer.
13 Njihove braće, glava obitelji, boraca što su obavljali službu u domu Božjem, bilo je tisuću sedam stotina i šezdeset.	13 Their kinsmen, heads of families, numbered one thousand seven hundred and sixty-men expert in theministerial service of the Temple of God.
14 Od levita Šemaja, sin Hašuba, sin Azrikama, Hašabjina sina, između Merarijevih sinova;	14 Of the Levites there were Shemaiah son of Hasshub, son of Azrikam, son of Hashabiah of the sons ofMerari,
15 Bakbakar, Hereš, Galal i Matanija, sin Mike, sina Zikrija, Asafova sina;	15 Bakbakar, Heresh, Galai, Mattaniah son of Mica, son of Zichri, son of Asaph.
16 Obadja, sin Šemaje, sina Galala, Jedutunova sina, i Berekja, sin Ase, Elkanina sina, koji je živio u Netofatskim selima.	16 Obadiah son of Shemaiah, son of Galal, son of Jeduthun and Berechiah son of Asa, son of Elkanah,who lived in the dependencies of the Netophathites.
17 Vratari: Šalum, Akub, Talmon i Ahiman, i njihova braća; Šalum je bio poglavar,	17 The gatekeepers were Shal um, Akkub, Talmon, Ahiman and their kinsmen. Shal um was the chief
18 i dosad je bio na kraljevskim vratima prema istoku. Oni su bili vratari po četama levita.	18 and is stil gatekeeper of the King's Gate to the east. They were the gatekeepers of the camps of thesons of Levi.
19 Šalum, sin Korea, sina Abjasafa, Korahova sina, sa svojom braćom Korahovcima iz njihove obitelji, bili su odgovorni za bogoslužje; oni su čuvali pragove Šatora, dok su njihovi oci čuvali ulaz u Jahvin tabor.	19 Shallum son of Kore, son of Ebiasaph, son of Korah, and his brothers belonging to his family, theKorahites, were also in charge of the ministerial service as doorkeepers of the Tent, as their ancestors had beenkeepers of the entrance to the camp of Yahweh.
20 Eleazarov sin Pinhas bio je predstojnik nad njima nekada (Jahve bio s njim!).	20 Formerly, Phinehas son of Eleazar had been in charge of them -- Yahweh be with him!
21 Mešelemjin sin Zaharija bio je vratar na vratima Šatora sastanka.	21 Zechariah son of Meshelemiah was gatekeeper at the door of the Tent of Meeting.
22 Svih izabranih vratara pragova bilo je dvjesta i dvanaest. Bili su upisani u rodovnike u svojim selima. Postavili su ih u službu David i vidjelac Samuel zbog njihove vjernosti.	22 Al the keepers of the gate at the thresholds were picked men; there were two hundred and twelve ofthem. They were grouped by relationship in their various vil ages. These were confirmed in office by David and Samuel the seer because of their dependability.
23 Oni i njihovi sinovi čuvali su stražu na vratima doma Jahvina, doma Šatora.	23 They and their sons continued in charge as guards of the gates of the Temple of Yahweh, the houseof the Tent.
24 Vratari su stajali na četiri strane: na istoku, na zapadu, na sjeveru i na jugu.	24 The gatekeepers were assigned to the four sides, east, west, north and south,
25 Njihova braća po selima dolazila su od vremena do vremena da im se pridruže po sedam dana.	25 and their brothers in their vil ages were required to assist them from time to time for a week,
26 Samo su četiri vratarska predstojnika bila neprestano u službi. Bili su leviti, postavljeni nad sobama i nad riznicama Božjega doma.	26 since the four head gatekeepers were permanently on duty. They were Levites and were in charge ofthe accommodation and supplies of the Temple of God.
27 Noćivali su oko Božjega doma jer im je bila dužnost da stražare i da otključavaju svako jutro.	27 They spent the night in the precincts of the Temple of God, their duties being to guard it and open itevery morning.
28 Neki su od njih bili odgovorni za bogoslužno posuđe. Prebrojavali su ga kad bi ga unosili i kad bi ga iznosili.	28 Some of them were in charge of the implements of worship, having to count them when they tookthem out and when they put them away.
29 Neki su se od njih brinuli za pokućstvo, sve posvećene stvari, fino brašno, vino, ulje, tamjan i miomirise;	29 Others of them were put in charge of the implements, of al the objects in the sanctuary and of theflour, the wine, the oil, the incense and the perfume.
30 a neki od svećeničkih sinova miješali su pomast od miomirisa.	30 Members of the priestly caste, however, mixed the ointment for the perfume.
31 Matitja, jedan od levita, prvenac Šaluma Korahovca, brinuo se za stvari koje se peku na tavi.	31 One of the Levites, Mattithiah -- he was the first-born of Shal um the Korahite -- had regular charge ofbaking operations.
32 Neki od Kehatovaca, njihove braće, bili su odgovorni za kruhove što se postavljaju svake subote.	32 Some of their kinsmen the Kohathites were responsible for the loaves to be set out in rows Sabbathby Sabbath.
33 Oni su bili i pjevači, glavari levitskih obitelji. 35 U Gibeonu su živjeli: Gibeonov otac Jeiel, čijoj je ženi bilo ime Maaka.	35 Jeiel father of Gibeon lived at Gibeon and his wife was cal ed Maacah.
36 Sin mu je prvenac bio Abdon, pa Sur, Kiš, Baal, Ner, Nadab,	36 His first-born son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
37 Gedor, Ahjo, Zaharija i Miklot.	37 Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah and Mikloth.
38 Miklot rodi Šimeama. I oni su živjeli u Jeruzalemu, naprama svojoj braći.	38 Mikloth fathered Shimeam. But they, unlike their brothers, lived at Jerusalem with their brothers.
39 Ner rodi Kiša; a Kiš rodi Šaula; Šaul rodi Jonatana, Malki-Šuu, Abinadaba i Ešbaala.	39 Ner fathered Kish, Kish fathered Saul, Saul fathered Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab and Eshbaal.
40 Jonatanov je sin bio Merib Baal. Merib Baal rodi Miku.	40 Son of Jonathan: Meribbaal. Meribbaal fathered Micah.
41 Mikini su sinovi bili: Piton, Melek, Tahrea i Ahaz.	41 Sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tahrea.
42 Ahaz rodi Jaru; Jara rodi Alemeta, Azmaveta i Zimrija; Zimri rodi Mosu.	42 Ahaz fathered Jarah, Jarah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri; Zimri fathered Moza,
43 Mosa rodi Binu; njegov je sin bio Rafaja, njegov sin Elasa, njegov sin Asel.	43 Moza fathered Binea, Rephaiah his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.
44 Asel je imao šest sinova, kojima su imena: Azrikam, Bokru, Jišmael, Šearja, Obadja i Hanan; to su Aselovi sinovi.	44 Azel had six sons; their names were these: Azrikam his first-born, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah,Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
