1 Now I make known unto you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;	1 Os recuerdo, hermanos, el Evangelio que os prediqué, que habéis recibido y en el cual permanecéis firmes,
2 By which also you are saved, if you hold fast after what manner I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.	2 por el cual también sois salvados, si lo guardáis tal como os lo prediqué... Si no, ¡habríais creído en vano!
3 For I delivered unto you first of all, which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures:	3 Porque os transmití, en primer lugar, lo que a mi vez recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados, según las Escrituras;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures:	4 que fue sepultado y que resucitó al tercer día, según las Escrituras;
5 And that he was seen by Cephas; and after that by the eleven.	5 que se apareció a Cefas y luego a los Doce;
6 Then he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once: of whom many remain until this present, and some are fallen asleep.	6 después se apareció a más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, de los cuales todavía la mayor parte viven y otros murieron.
7 After that, he was seen by James, then by all the apostles.	7 Luego se apareció a Santiago; más tarde, a todos los apóstoles.
8 And last of all, he was seen also by me, as by one born out of due time.	8 Y en último término se me apareció también a mí, como a un abortivo.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.	9 Pues yo soy el último de los apóstoles: indigno del nombre de apóstol, por haber perseguido a la Iglesia de Dios.
10 But by the grace of God, I am what I am; and his grace in me hath not been void, but I have laboured more abundantly than all they: yet not I, but the grace of God with me.	10 Mas, por la gracia de Dios, soy lo que soy; y la gracia de Dios no ha sido estéril en mí. Antes bien, he trabajado más que todos ellos. Pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios que está conmigo.
11 For whether I, or they, so we preach, and so you have believed.	11 Pues bien, tanto ellos como yo esto es lo que predicamos; esto es lo que habéis creído.
12 Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead?	12 Ahora bien, si se predica que Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos ¿cómo andan diciendo algunos entre vosotros que no hay resurrección de los muertos?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again.	13 Si no hay resurrección de los muertos, tampoco Cristo resucitó.
14 And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.	14 Y si no resucitó Cristo, vacía es nuestra predicación, vacía también vuestra fe.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ; whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again.	15 Y somos convictos de falsos testigos de Dios porque hemos atestiguado contra Dios que resucitó a Cristo, a quien no resucitó, si es que los muertos no resucitan.
16 For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again.	16 Porque si los muertos no resucitan, tampoco Cristo resucitó.
17 And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain, for you are yet in your sins.	17 Y si Cristo no resucitó, vuestra fe es vana: estáis todavía en vuestros pecados.
18 Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished.	18 Por tanto, también los que durmieron en Cristo perecieron.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.	19 Si solamente para esta vida tenemos puesta nuestra esperanza en Cristo, ¡somos los más dignos de compasión de todos los hombres!
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep :	20 ¡Pero no! Cristo resucitó de entre los muertos como primicias de los que durmieron.
21 For by a man came death, and by a man the resurrection of the dead.	21 Porque, habiendo venido por un hombre la muerte, también por un hombre viene la resurrección de los muertos.
22 And as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.	22 Pues del mismo modo que en Adán mueren todos, así también todos revivirán en Cristo.
23 But every one in his own order: the firstfruits Christ, then they that are of Christ, who have believed in his coming.	23 Pero cada cual en su rango: Cristo como primicias; luego los de Cristo en su Venida.
24 Afterwards the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God and the Father, when he shall have brought to nought all principality, and power, and virtue.	24 Luego, el fin, cuando entregue a Dios Padre el Reino, depués de haber destruido todo Principado, Dominación y Potestad.
25 For he must reign, until he hath put all his enemies under his feet.	25 Porque debe él reinar hasta que ponga a todos sus enemigos bajo sus pies.
26 And the enemy death shall be destroyed last: For he hath put all things under his feet. And whereas he saith,	26 El último enemigo en ser destruido será la Muerte.
27 All things are put under him; undoubtedly, he is excepted, who put all things under him.	27 Porque ha sometido todas las cosas bajo sus pies. Mas cuando diga que «todo está sometido», es evidente que se excluye a Aquel que ha sometido a él todas las cosas.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then the Son also himself shall be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.	28 Cuando hayan sido sometidas a él todas las cosas, entonces también el Hijo se someterá a Aquel que ha sometido a él todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todo.
29 Otherwise what shall they do that are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not again at all? why are they then baptized for them?	29 De no ser así ¿a qué viene el bautizarse por los muertos? Si los muertos no resucitan en manera alguna ¿por qué bautizarse por ellos?
30 Why also are we in danger every hour?	30 Y nosotros mismos ¿por qué nos ponemos en peligro a todas horas?
31 I die daily, I protest by your glory, brethren, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.	31 Cada día estoy a la muerte ¡sí hermanos! gloria mía en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro, que cada día estoy en peligro de muerte.
32 If (according to man) I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me, if the dead rise not again? Let us eat and drink, for to morrow we shall die.	32 Si por motivos humanos luché en Efeso contra las bestias ¿qué provecho saqué? Si los muertos no resucitan, comamos y bebamos, que mañana moriremos.
33 Be not seduced: Evil communications corrupt good manners.	33 No os engañéis: «Las malas compañías corrompen las buenas costumbres».
34 Awake, ye just, and sin not. For some have not the knowledge of God, I speak it to your shame.	34 Despertaos, como conviene, y no pequéis; que hay entre vosotros quienes desconocen a Dios. Para vergüenza vuestra lo digo.
35 But some man will say: How do the dead rise again? or with what manner of body shall they come?	35 Pero dirá alguno: ¿Cómo resucitan los muertos? ¿Con qué cuerpo vuelven a la vida?
36 Senseless man, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die first.	36 ¡Necio! Lo que tú siembras no revive si no muere.
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be; but bare grain, as of wheat, or of some of the rest.	37 Y lo que tú siembras no es el cuerpo que va a brotar, sino un simple grano, de trigo por ejemplo o de alguna otra planta.
38 But God giveth it a body as he will: and to every seed its proper body.	38 Y Dios le da un cuerpo a su voluntad: a cada semilla un cuerpo peculiar.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but one is the flesh of men, another of beasts, another of birds, another of fishes.	39 No toda carne es igual, sino que una es la carne de los hombres, otra la de los animales, otra la de las aves, otra la de los peces.
40 And there are bodies celestial, and bodies terrestrial: but, one is the glory of the celestial, and another of the terrestrial.	40 Hay cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres; pero uno es el resplandor de los cuerpos celestes y otro el de los cuerpos terrestres.
41 One is the glory of the sun, another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars. For star differeth from star in glory.	41 Uno es el resplandor del sol, otro el de la luna, otro el de las estrellas. Y una estrella difiere de otra en resplandor.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it shall rise in incorruption.	42 Así también en la resurrección de los muertos: se siembra corrupción, resucita incorrupción;
43 It is sown in dishonour, it shall rise in glory. It is sown in weakness, it shall rise in power.	43 se siembra vileza, resucita gloria; se siembra debilidad, resucita fortaleza;
44 It is sown a natural body, it shall rise a spiritual body. If there be a natural body, there is also a spiritual body, as it is written:	44 se siembra un cuerpo natural, resucita un cuerpo espiritual. Pues si hay un cuerpo natural, hay también un cuerpo espiritual.
45 The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit.	45 En efecto, así es como dice la Escritura: Fue hecho el primer hombre, Adán, alma viviente; el último Adán, espíritu que da vida.
46 Yet that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; afterwards that which is spiritual.	46 Mas no es lo espiritual lo que primero aparece, sino lo natural; luego, lo espiritual.
47 The first man was of the earth, earthly: the second man, from heaven, heavenly.	47 El primer hombre, salido de la tierra, es terreno; el segundo, viene del cielo.
48 Such as is the earthly, such also are the earthly: and such as is the heavenly, such also are they that are heavenly.	48 Como el hombre terreno, así son los hombres terrenos; como el celeste, así serán los celestes.
49 Therefore as we have borne the image of the earthly, let us bear also the image of the heavenly.	49 Y del mismo modo que hemos llevado la imagen del hombre terreno, llevaremos también la imagen del celeste.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot possess the kingdom of God: neither shall corruption possess incorruption.	50 Os digo esto, hermanos: La carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el Reino de los cielos: ni la corrupción hereda la incorrupción.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed.	51 ¡Mirad! Os revelo un misterio: No moriremos todos, mas todos seremos transformados.
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed.	52 En un instante, en un pestañear de ojos, al toque de la trompeta final, pues sonará la trompeta, los muertos resucitarán incorruptibles y nosotros seremos transformados.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality.	53 En efecto, es necesario que este ser corruptible se revista de incorruptibilidad; y que este ser mortal se revista de inmortalidad.
54 And when this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.	54 Y cuando este ser corruptible se revista de incorruptibilidad y este ser mortal se revista de inmortalidad, entonces se cumplirá la palabra que está escrita: La muerte ha sido devorada en la victoria.
55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?	55 ¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu victoria? ¿Dónde está, oh muerte, tu aguijón?
56 Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law.	56 El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado; y la fuerza del pecado, la Ley.
57 But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.	57 Pero ¡gracias sean dadas a Dios, que nos da la victora por nuestro Señor Jesucristo!
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.	58 Así pues, hermanos míos amados, manteneos firmes, inconmovibles, progresando siempre en la obra del Señor, conscientes de que vuestro trabajo no es vano el el Señor.
