1 And on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalen cometh early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre; and she saw the stone taken away from the sepulchre.	1 Le premier jour de la semaine, Marie Madeleine vint au sépulcre dès le matin, comme les ténèbres régnaient encore; et elle vit que la pierre avait été ôtée du sépulcre.
2 She ran, therefore, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith to them: They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.	2 Elle courut donc, et vint auprès de Simon-Pierre, et de l'autre disciple que Jésus aimait. Et elle leur dit: Ils ont enlevé le Seigneur du sépulcre, et nous ne savons où ils L'ont mis.
3 Peter therefore went out, and that other disciple, and they came to the sepulchre.	3 Pierre sortit donc avec cet autre disciple, et ils allèrent au sépulcre.
4 And they both ran together, and that other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.	4 Ils couraient tous deux ensemble; mais cet autre disciple courut plus vite que Pierre, et arriva le premier au sépulcre.
5 And when he stooped down, he saw the linen cloths lying; but yet he went not in.	5 Et s'étant baissé, il vit les linceuls posés à terre; cependant, il n'entra pas.
6 Then cometh Simon Peter, following him, and went into the sepulchre, and saw the linen cloths lying,	6 Simon-Pierre, qui le suivait, vint aussi, et entra dans le sépulcre; et il vit les linceuls posés à terre,
7 And the napkin that had been about his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but apart, wrapped up into one place.	7 et le suaire, qu'on avait mis sur Sa tête, non pas posé avec les linceuls, mais roulé à part, dans un autre endroit.
8 Then that other disciple also went in, who came first to the sepulchre: and he saw, and believed.	8 Alors l'autre disciple, qui était arrivé le premier au sépulcre, entra aussi; et il vit, et il crut.
9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.	9 Car ils ne savaient pas encore, d'après l'Ecriture, qu'il fallait qu'Il ressuscitât d'entre les morts.
10 The disciples therefore departed again to their home.	10 Les disciples s'en retournèrent donc chez eux.
11 But Mary stood at the sepulchre without, weeping. Now as she was weeping, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre,	11 Cependant Marie se tenait dehors, près du sépulcre, pleurant. Et tout en pleurant elle se baissa, et regarda dans le sépulcre.
12 And she saw two angels in white, sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had been laid.	12 Et elle vit deux Anges vêtus de blanc, assis l'un à la tête, et l'autre aux pieds, à l'endroit où avait été déposé le corps de Jésus.
13 They say to her: Woman, why weepest thou? She saith to them: Because they have taken away my Lord; and I know not where they have laid him.	13 Ils lui dirent: Femme, pourquoi pleures-tu? Elle leur dit: Parce qu'ils ont enlevé mon Seigneur, et que je ne sais où ils L'ont mis.
14 When she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing; and she knew not that it was Jesus.	14 Ayant dit cela, elle se retourna, et vit Jésus debout; mais elle ne savait pas que ce fût Jésus.
15 Jesus saith to her: Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, thinking it was the gardener, saith to him: Sir, if thou hast taken him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.	15 Jésus lui dit: Femme, pourquoi pleures-tu? qui cherches-tu? Pensant que c'était le jardinier, elle lui dit: Seigneur, si c'est toi qui L'as enlevé, dis-moi où tu L'as mis, et je L'emporterai.
16 Jesus saith to her: Mary. She turning, saith to him: Rabboni (which is to say, Master).	16 Jésus lui dit: Marie! Elle se retourna, et Lui dit: Rabboni (c'est-à-dire, Maître)!
17 Jesus saith to her: Do not touch me, for I am not yet ascended to my Father. But go to my brethren, and say to them: I ascend to my Father and to your Father, to my God and your God.	17 Jésus lui dit: Ne Me touche pas, car Je ne suis pas encore monté vers Mon Père. Mais va vers Mes frères, et dis-leur: Je monte vers Mon Père et votre Père, vers Mon Dieu et votre Dieu.
18 Mary Magdalen cometh, and telleth the disciples: I have seen the Lord, and these things he said to me.	18 Marie Madeleine vint annoncer aux disciples: J'ai vu le Seigneur, et voici ce qu'Il m'a dit.
19 Now when it was late that same day, the first of the week, and the doors were shut, where the disciples were gathered together, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them: Peace be to you.	19 Le soir de ce jour, qui était le premier de la semaine, comme les portes du lieu où les disciples étaient assemblés étaient fermées, par crainte des Juifs, Jésus vint, et Se tint au milieu d'eux, et leur dit: La paix soit avec vous!
20 And when he had said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.	20 Et après avoir dit cela, Il leur montra Ses mains et Son côté. Les disciples se réjouirent donc, en voyant le Seigneur.
21 He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.	21 Et Il leur dit de nouveau: La paix soit avec vous! Comme Mon Père M'a envoyé, Moi aussi Je vous envoie.
22 When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost.	22 Ayant dit ces mots, Il souffla sur eux, et leur dit: Recevez l'Esprit-Saint.
23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them; and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.	23 Les péchés seront remis à ceux auxquels vous les remettrez, et ils seront retenus à ceux auxquels vous les retiendrez.
24 Now Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.	24 Or Thomas, l'un des douze, appelé Didyme, n'était pas avec eux lorsque Jésus vint.
25 The other disciples therefore said to him: We have seen the Lord. But he said to them: Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.	25 Les autres disciples lui dirent donc: Nous avons vu le Seigneur. Mais il leur dit: Si je ne vois dans Ses mains le trou des clous, et si je ne mets mon doigt à la place des clous, et si je ne mets ma main dans Son côté, je ne croirai point.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them. Jesus cometh, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said: Peace be to you.	26 Huit jours après, les disciples étaient enfermés de nouveau, et Thomas avec eux. Jésus vint, les portes étant fermées; et Il Se tint au milieu d'eux, et dit: La paix soit avec vous!
27 Then he saith to Thomas: Put in thy finger hither, and see my hands; and bring hither thy hand, and put it into my side; and be not faithless, but believing.	27 Ensuite Il dit à Thomas: Introduis ton doigt ici, et vois Mes mains; approche aussi ta main, et mets-la dans Mon côté; et ne sois pas incrédule, mais fidèle.
28 Thomas answered, and said to him: My Lord, and my God.	28 Thomas répondit, et Lui dit: Mon Seigneur et mon Dieu!
29 Jesus saith to him: Because thou hast seen me, Thomas, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and have believed.	29 Jésus lui dit: Parce que tu M'as vu, Thomas, tu as cru; heureux ceux qu n'ont pas vu, et qui ont cru!
30 Many other signs also did Jesus in the sight of his disciples, which are not written in this book.	30 Jésus fit encore, en présence de Ses disciples, beaucoup d'autres miracles, qui ne sont point écrits dans ce livre.
31 But these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing, you may have life in his name.	31 Ceux-ci ont été écrits, afin que vous croyiez que Jésus est le Christ, le Fils de Dieu, et que, le croyant, vous ayez la vie en Son nom.
