A psalm for David. The Lord ruleth me: and I shall want nothing. | 1 Prima sabbati. Psalmus David. Domini est terra, et plenitudo ejus ; orbis terrarum, et universi qui habitant in eo. |
He hath set me in a place of pasture. He hath brought me up, on the water of refreshment: | 2 Quia ipse super maria fundavit eum, et super flumina præparavit eum. |
he hath converted my soul. He hath led me on the paths of justice, for his own name's sake. | 3 Quis ascendet in montem Domini ? aut quis stabit in loco sancto ejus ? |
For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me. | 4 Innocens manibus et mundo corde, qui non accepit in vano animam suam, nec juravit in dolo proximo suo : |
Thou hast prepared a table before me against them that afflict me. Thou hast anointed my head with oil; and my chalice which inebriateth me, how goodly is it! | 5 hic accipiet benedictionem a Domino, et misericordiam a Deo salutari suo. |
And thy mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And that I may dwell in the house of the Lord unto length of days. | 6 Hæc est generatio quærentium eum, quærentium faciem Dei Jacob. |
Attollite portas, principes, vestras, et elevamini, portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.
Quis est iste rex gloriæ ? Dominus fortis et potens, Dominus potens in prælio.
Attollite portas, principes, vestras, et elevamini, portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.
Quis est iste rex gloriæ ? Dominus virtutum ipse est rex gloriæ. |
