1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; in the council of the just: and in the congregation.	1 - Alleluia! Al ritorno di Aggeo e Zaccaria. Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore, che ne' suoi comandamenti si compiace oltremodo.
2 Great are the works of the Lord: sought out according to all his wills	2 Potente sulla terra sarà il suo seme: la stirpe de' giusti sarà benedetta.
3 His work is praise and magnificence: and his justice continueth for ever and ever.	3 Splendore e ricchezza in casa di lui, e la sua giustizia perdura ne' secoli.
4 He hath made a remembrance of his wonderful works, being a merciful and gracious Lord:	4 Sorge di tra le tenebre una luce per i retti:[Dio è] benigno, misericordioso e giusto.
5 he hath given food to them that fear him. He will be mindful for ever of his covenant:	5 Felice l'uomo che ha compassione e dà in prestito, [che] dispone le sue cose con giustizia.
6 he will shew forth to his people the power of his works.	6 Perchè non vacillerà in eterno,
7 That he may give them the inheritance of the Gentiles: the works of his hands are truth and judgment.	7 in memoria eterna sarà il giusto. Di triste notizia non avrà paura: pronto è il suo cuore a sperar [fermamente] nel Signore.
8 All his commandments are faithful: confirmed for ever and ever, made in truth and equity.	8 Saldo è il suo cuore, non tremerà, sino a che veda [prostrati] i suoi nemici.
9 He hath sent redemption to his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name:	9 Egli prodiga, dà ai poveri: la sua giustizia perdura ne' secoli. La sua fronte si leva in alto con gloria:
10 the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding to all that do it: his praise continueth for ever and ever.	10 l'empio vedrà e s'adirerà. Digrignerà i denti e si struggerà: il desiderio degli empi andrà in malora!
