1 So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he seemed just to himself.	1 Aquellos tres hombres dejaron de replicar a Job, porque se tenía por justo.
2 And Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram, was angry and was moved to indignation : now he was angry against Job, because he said he was just before God.	2 Entonces montó en cólera Elihú, hijo de Barakel el buzita, de la familia de Ram. Su cólera se inflamó contra Job, porque pretendía tener razón frente a Dios;
3 And he was angry with his friends because they had not found a reasonable answer, but only had condemned Job.	3 y también contra sus tres amigos, porque no habían hallado ya nada que replicar y de esa manera habían dejado mal a Dios.
4 So Eliu waited while Job was speaking, because they were his elders that were speaking.	4 Mientras hablaban ellos con Job, Elihú se había mantenido a la expectativa, porque eran más viejos que él.
5 But when he saw that the three were not able to answer, he was exceedingly angry.	5 Pero cuando vio que en la boca de los tres hombres ya no quedaba respuesta, montó en cólera.
6 Then Eliu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said : I am younger in days, and you are more ancient; therefore hanging down my head, I was afraid to shew you my opinion.	6 Tomó, pues, la palabra Elihú, hijo de Barakel el buzita, y dijo: Soy pequeño en edad, y vosotros sois viejos; por eso tenía miedo, me asustaba el declararos mi saber.
7 For I hoped that greater age would speak, and that a multitude of years would teach wisdom.	7 Me decía yo: «Hablará la edad, los muchos años enseñarán sabiduría.»
8 But, as I see, there is a spirit in men, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth understanding.	8 Pero en verdad, es un soplo en el hombre, es el espíritu de Sadday lo que hace inteligente.
9 They that are aged are not the wise men, neither do the ancients understand judgment.	9 No son sabios los que están llenos de años, ni los viejos quienes comprenden lo que es justo.
10 Therefore I will speak : Hearken to me, I also will shew you my wisdom.	10 Por eso he dicho: Escuchadme, voy a declarar también yo mi saber.
11 For I have waited for your words, I have given ear to your wisdom, as long as you were disputing in words.	11 Hasta ahora vuestras razones esperaba, prestaba oído a vuestros argumentos; mientras tratabais de buscar vocablos,
12 And as long as I thought you said some thing, I considered : but, as I see, there is none of you that can convince Job, and answer his words.	12 tenía puesta en vosotros mi atención. Y veo que ninguno a Job da réplica, nadie de entre vosotros a sus dichos responde.
13 Lest you should say : We have found wisdom, God hath cast him down, not man.	13 No digáis, pues: «Hemos hallado la sabiduría; nos instruye Dios, no un hombre.»
14 He hath spoken nothing to me, and I will not answer him according to your words.	14 No hilaré yo palabras como ésas, no le replicaré en vuestros términos.
15 They were afraid, and answered no more, and they left off speaking.	15 Han quedado vencidos, no han respondido más: les han faltado las palabras.
16 Therefore because I have waited, and they have not spoken : they stood, and answered no more :	16 He esperado, pero ya que no hablan, puesto que se han quedado sin respuesta,
17 I also will answer my part, and will shew my knowledge.	17 responderé yo por mi parte, declararé también yo mi saber.
18 Behold, my belly is as new wine which wanteth vent, which bursteth the new vessels.	18 Pues estoy lleno de palabras, me urge un soplo desde dentro.
19 dummy verses inserted by amos	19 Es, en mi seno, como vino sin escape, que hace reventar los odres nuevos.
20 I will speak and take breath a little : I will open my lips, and will answer.	20 Hablaré para desahogarme, abriré los labios y replicaré.
21 I will not accept the person of man, and I will not level God with man.	21 No tomaré el partido de ninguno, a nadie adularé.
22 For I know not how long I shall continue, and whether after a while my Maker may take me away.	22 Pues yo no sé adular: bien pronto me aventaría mi Hacedor.
