| 2 Permanece alerta y reanima lo que todavía puedes rescatar de la muerte, porque veo que tu conducta no es perfecta delante de mi Dios. | 2 Awake, and strengthen what remains and is on the point of death, for I have not found your works perfect in the sight of my God. |
| 3 Recuerda cómo has recibido y escuchado la Palabra: consérvala fielmente y arrepiéntete. Porque si no vigilas, llegaré como un ladrón, y no sabrás a qué hora te sorprenderé. | 3 Remember then what you received and heard; keep that, and repent. If you will not awake, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come upon you. |
| 4 Sin embargo, tienes todavía en Sardes algunas personas que no han manchado su ropa: ellas me acompañarán vestidas de blanco, porque lo han merecido. | 4 Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. |
| 5 El vencedor recibirá una vestidura blanca, nunca borraré su nombre del Libro de la Vida y confesaré su nombre delante de mi Padre y de sus Angeles». | 5 He who conquers shall be clad thus in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life; I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. |

| 7 Escribe al Angel de la Iglesia de Filadelfia: «El Santo, el que dice la Verdad, el que posee la llave de David, el que abre y nadie puede cerrar, el que cierra y nadie puede abrir, afirma: | 7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: 'The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one shall shut, who shuts and no one opens. |
| 8 «Yo conozco tus obras; he abierto delante de ti una puerta que nadie puede cerrar, porque a pesar de tu debilidad, has cumplido mi Palabra sin renegar de mi Nombre. | 8 "'I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut; I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. |
| 9 Obligaré a los de la sinagoga de Satanás –que mienten, porque se llaman judíos y no lo son– a que se postren delante de ti y reconozcan que yo te he amado. | 9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie--behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and learn that I have loved you. |
| 10 Ya que has cumplido mi consigna de ser constante, yo también te preservaré en la hora de la tribulación, que ha de venir sobre el mundo entero para poner a prueba a todos los habitantes de la tierra. | 10 Because you have kept my word of patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial which is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell upon the earth. |
| 11 Yo volveré pronto: conserva firmemente lo que ya posees, para que nadie pueda arrebatarte la corona. | 11 I am coming soon; hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. |
| 12 Haré que el vencedor sea una columna en el Templo de mi Dios, y nunca más saldrá de allí. Y sobre él escribiré el nombre de mi Dios, y el nombre de la Ciudad de mi Dios –la nueva Jerusalén que desciende del cielo y viene de Dios– y también mi nombre nuevo». | 12 He who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God; never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. |

| 14 Escribe al Angel de la Iglesia de Laodicea: «El que es Amén, el Testigo fiel y verídico, el Principio de las obras de Dios, afirma: | 14 "And to the angel of the church in La-odicea write: 'The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation. |
| 15 «Conozco tus obras: no eres frío ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueras frío o caliente! | 15 "'I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot! |
| 16 Por eso, porque eres tibio, te vomitaré de mi boca. | 16 So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth. |
| 17 Tú andas diciendo: Soy rico, estoy lleno de bienes y no me falta nada. Y no sabes que eres desdichado, digno de compasión, pobre, ciego y desnudo. | 17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing; not knowing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. |
| 18 Por eso, te aconsejo: cómprame oro purificado en el fuego para enriquecerte, vestidos blancos para revestirte y cubrir tu vergonzosa desnudez, y un colirio para ungir tus ojos y recobrar la vista. | 18 Therefore I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may be rich, and white garments to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nakedness from being seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see. |
| 19 Yo corrijo y comprendo a los que amo. ¡Reanima tu fervor y arrepiéntete! | 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and chasten; so be zealous and repent. |
| 20 Yo estoy junto a la puerta y llamo: si alguien oye mi voz y me abre, entraré en su casa y cenaremos juntos. | 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. |
| 21 Al vencedor lo haré sentar conmigo en mi trono, así como yo he vencido y me he sentado con mi Padre en su trono». | 21 He who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I myself conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. |
