| 1 Ya que ustedes han resucitado con Cristo, busquen los bienes del cielo donde Cristo está sentado a la derecha de Dios. | 1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. |
| 2 Tengan el pensamiento puesto en las cosas celestiales y no en las de la tierra. | 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. |
| 3 Porque ustedes están muertos, y su vida está desde ahora oculta con Cristo en Dios. | 3 For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. |
| 4 Cuando se manifieste Cristo, que es nuestra vida, entonces ustedes también aparecerán con él, llenos de gloria. | 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. |
| 5 Por lo tanto, hagan morir en sus miembros todo lo que es terrenal: la lujuria, la impureza, la pasión desordenada, los malos deseos y también la avaricia, que es una forma de idolatría. | 5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. |
| 6 Estas cosas provocan la ira de Dios. | 6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming. |
| 7 Ustedes mismos se comportaban así en otro tiempo, viviendo desordenadamente. | 7 In these you once walked, when you lived in them. |
| 8 Pero ahora es necesario que acaben con la ira, el rencor, la maldad, las injurias y las conversaciones groseras. | 8 But now put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth. |
| 9 Tampoco se engañen los unos a los otros. Porque ustedes se despojaron del hombre viejo y de sus obras | 9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices |
| 10 y se revistieron del hombre nuevo, aquel que avanza hacia el conocimiento perfecto, renovándose constantemente según la imagen de su Creador. | 10 and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. |
| 11 Por eso, ya no hay pagano ni judío, circunciso ni incircunciso, bárbaro ni extranjero, esclavo ni hombre libre, sino sólo Cristo, que es todo y está en todos. | 11 Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all. |
| 12 Como elegidos de Dios, sus santos y amados, revístanse de sentimientos de profunda compasión. Practiquen la benevolencia, la humildad, la dulzura, la paciencia. | 12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, |
| 13 Sopórtense los unos a los otros, y perdónense mutuamente siempre que alguien tenga motivo de queja contra otro. El Señor los ha perdonado: hagan ustedes lo mismo. | 13 forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. |
| 14 Sobre todo, revístanse del amor, que es el vínculo de la perfección. | 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. |
| 15 Que la paz de Cristo reine en sus corazones: esa paz a la que han sido llamados, porque formamos un solo Cuerpo. Y vivan en la acción de gracias. | 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. |
| 16 Que la Palabra de Cristo resida en ustedes con toda su riqueza. Instrúyanse en la verdadera sabiduría, corrigiéndose los unos a los otros. Canten a Dios con gratitud y de todo corazón salmos, himnos y cantos inspirados. | 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. |
| 17 Todo lo que puedan decir o realizar, háganlo siempre en nombre del Señor Jesús, dando gracias por él a Dios Padre. | 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. |
| 18 Mujeres, respeten a su marido, como corresponde a los discípulos del Señor. | 18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. |
| 19 Maridos, amen a su mujer, y no le amarguen la vida. | 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them. |
| 20 Hijos, obedezcan siempre a sus padres, porque esto es agradable al Señor. | 20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. |
| 21 Padres, no exasperen a sus hijos, para que ellos no se desanimen. | 21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. |

| 23 Cualquiera sea el trabajo de ustedes, háganlo de todo corazón, teniendo en cuenta que es para el Señor y no para los hombres. | 23 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men, |
| 24 Sepan que el Señor los recompensará, haciéndolos sus herederos. Ustedes sirven a Cristo, el Señor: | 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ. |
| 25 el que obra injustamente recibirá el pago que corresponde, cualquiera sea su condición. | 25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality. |
