| 13 Sorprende a los sabios en su propia astucia y el plan de los malvados se deshace rápidamente. | 13 He takes the wise in their own craftiness; and the schemes of the wily are brought to a quick end. |

| 15 El salva al huérfano de la espada, y al indigente, de la mano del poderoso. | 15 But he saves the fatherless from their mouth, the needy from the hand of the mighty. |
| 16 Así, el débil recupera la esperanza y los malvados cierran la boca. | 16 So the poor have hope, and injustice shuts her mouth. |
| 17 ¡Feliz el hombre a quien Dios reprende y que no desdeña la lección del Todopoderoso! | 17 "Behold, happy is the man whom God reproves; therefore despise not the chastening of the Almighty. |
| 18 Porque él hiere, pero venda la herida; golpea, pero sana con sus manos. | 18 For he wounds, but he binds up; he smites, but his hands heal. |
| 19 Seis veces te librará de la angustia, y la séptima, el mal no te alcanzará. | 19 He will deliver you from six troubles; in seven there shall no evil touch you. |
| 20 En tiempo de hambre, te librará de la muerte, y en la guerra, del filo de la espada. | 20 In famine he will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. |
| 21 Estarás protegido contra el azote de las malas lenguas y no temerás cuando llegue la devastación. | 21 You shall be hid from the scourge of the tongue, and shall not fear destruction when it comes. |
| 22 Te reirás de la devastación y del hambre y no temerás a las fieras de la tierra. | 22 At destruction and famine you shall laugh, and shall not fear the beasts of the earth. |
| 23 Sí, tendrás una alianza con las piedras del campo y las fieras estarán en paz contigo. | 23 For you shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with you. |
| 24 Sabrás que en tu carpa hay prosperidad, y cuando revises tu morada, nada faltará. | 24 You shall know that your tent is safe, and you shall inspect your fold and miss nothing. |
| 25 Verás que se multiplica tu descendencia y que tus retoños son como la hierba de la tierra. | 25 You shall know also that your descendants shall be many, and your offspring as the grass of the earth. |
| 26 Llegarás a la tumba lleno de vigor como se levanta una parva a su debido tiempo. | 26 You shall come to your grave in ripe old age, as a shock of grain comes up to the threshing floor in its season. |
| 27 Esto es lo que hemos comprobado, y es así: escúchalo bien, y saca provecho. | 27 Lo, this we have searched out; it is true. Hear, and know it for your good." |
