1 Los descendientes de Aarón también estaban distribuidos por clases. Los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar.	1 The divisions of the sons of Aaron were these. The sons of Aaron: Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.
2 Nadab y Abihú murieron antes que su padre, sin tener hijos; y fueron Eleazar e Itamar los ejercieron las funciones sacerdotales.	2 But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children, so Eleazar and Ithamar became the priests.
3 David junto con Sadoc, de los hijos de Eleazar, y con Ajimélec, de los hijos de Itamar, los dividió en clases y los registró según sus funciones.	3 With the help of Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, David organized them according to the appointed duties in their service.
4 Entre los hijos de Eleazar, había más varones que entre los hijos de Itamar, y por eso, al ser divididos, los jefes de familia fueron dieciséis entre los hijos de Eleazar, y ocho entre los hijos de Itamar.	4 Since more chief men were found among the sons of Eleazar than among the sons of Ithamar, they organized them under sixteen heads of fathers' houses of the sons of Eleazar, and eight of the sons of Ithamar.
5 Unos y otros fueron divididos por sorteo, porque tanto entre los hijos de Eleazar como entre los hijos de Itamar había jefes consagrados y jefes al servicio de Dios.	5 They organized them by lot, all alike, for there were officers of the sanctuary and officers of God among both the sons of Eleazar and the sons of Ithamar.
6 El escriba Semaías, hijo de Natanael, uno de los levitas, los inscribió en presencia del rey de los jefes, y en presencia del sacerdote Sadoc, de Ajimélec, hijo de Abiatar, y de los jefes de las familias sacerdotales y levíticas. Se echaba la suerte, una vez por Itamar y dos veces por Eleazar.	6 And the scribe Shemaiah the son of Nethanel, a Levite, recorded them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; one father's house being chosen for Eleazar and one chosen for Ithamar.

13 la decimotercera sobre Jupá; la decimocuarta sobre Iesebab;	13 the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebe-ab,
14 la decimoquinta sobre Bilgá; la decimosexta sobre Imer;	14 the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,
15 la decimoséptima sobre Jezir; la decimoctava sobre Hapisés;	15 the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,
16 la decimonovena sobre Petajías; la vigésima sobre Ezequiel;	16 the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,
17 la vigésima primera sobre Iaquín; la vigésima segunda sobre Gamul;	17 the twenty-first to Jachin, the twenty-second to Gamul,
18 la vigésima tercera sobre Delaías; la vigésima cuarta sobre Maazías.	18 the twenty-third to Delaiah, the twenty-fourth to Ma-aziah.
19 Esta fue su distribución por turnos para entrar en la Casa del Señor, conforme al reglamento establecido por Aarón, su padre, como lo había ordenado el Señor, el Dios de Israel.	19 These had as their appointed duty in their service to come into the house of the LORD according to the procedure established for them by Aaron their father, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded him.

21 de Rejabías y sus hijos, el jefe era Isías;	21 Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.
22 de los isharitas, Selomot, de los hijos de Selomot, Iájat;	22 Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.
23 de los hijos de Hebrón, el jefe era Ierías, Amarías el segundo, Iajziel el tercero, y Iecamam el cuarto;	23 The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.
24 de los hijos de Uziel, Micá; de los hijos de Micá, Samir.	24 The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.
25 Isaías era hermano de Micá, y el jefe de los hijos de Isías era Zacarías.	25 The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.
26 De los hijos de Merarí: Majlí y Musí, además de los descendientes de su hijo Iaazías.	26 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Ja-aziah: Beno.
27 Hijos de Merarí por la línea de su hijo Iaazías: Sóham, Zacur e Ibrí.	27 The sons of Merari: of Ja-aziah, Beno, Shoham, Zaccur, and Ibri.
28 Por parte de Majlí, Eleazar, que no tuvo hijos.	28 Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

30 Los hijos de Musí eran Majlí, Eder y Ierimot. Estos eran los hijos de Leví, agrupados por familias.	30 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.
31 También ellos, igual que sus hermanos, los hijos de Aarón, participaron del sorteo en presencia del rey David, de Sadoc, de Ajimélec, y de los jefes de las familias sacerdotales y levíticas. En cada familia, el jefe fue tratado de la misma manera que su hermano menor.	31 These also, the head of each father's house and his younger brother alike, cast lots, just as their brethren the sons of Aaron, in the presence of King David, Zadok, Ahimelech, and the heads of fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites.
