1 No primeiro mês, do segundo ano após a saída do Egito, o Senhor falou a Moisés no deserto do Sinai.	1 In the first month of the year following their departure from the land of Egypt, the Lord said to Moses in the desert of Sinai,
2 Disse-lhe: "Celebrem os israelitas a Páscoa no tempo fixado.	2 "Tell the Israelites to celebrate the Passover at the prescribed time.
3 Vós a celebrareis no décimo quarto dia deste mês, conforme foi marcado, entre as duas tardes, e fareis essa festa segundo todas as leis e prescrições que lhes são próprias."	3 The evening twilight of the fourteenth day of this month is the prescribed time when you shall celebrate it, observing all its rules and regulations."
4 Moisés mandou que os israelitas celebrassem a Páscoa.	4 Moses, therefore, told the Israelites to celebrate the Passover.
5 Celebraram-na no décimo quarto dia do primeiro mês, entre as duas tardes, no deserto do Sinai. Os israelitas fizeram tudo o que o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.	5 And they did so, celebrating the Passover in the desert of Sinai during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of the first month, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
6 Ora, alguns homens, não podendo fazer a Páscoa naquele dia, pois se tinham manchado tocando num cadáver, apresentaram-se a Moisés e Aarão naquele dia,	6 There were some, however, who were unclean because of a human corpse and so could not keep the Passover that day. These men came up to Moses and Aaron that same day
7 e disseram-lhe: "Estamos impuros, porque tocamos num cadáver; vamos por isso ser privados de apresentar com os outros israelitas a oferta do Senhor no dia fixado?	7 and said, "Although we are unclean because of a corpse, why should we be deprived of presenting the LORD'S offering at its proper time along with the other Israelites?"
8 "Esperai, respondeu Moisés, vou consultar o Senhor, para saber o que ordena a vosso respeito".	8 Moses answered them, "Wait until I learn what the LORD will command in your regard."
9 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés:	9 The LORD then said to Moses:
10 "Dize aos israelitas o seguinte: se um de vós ou de vossos descendentes estiver impuro por haver tocado num morto, ou se achar em viagem longe de vós, não deixará de celebrar a Páscoa em honra do Senhor.	10 "Speak to the Israelites and say: If any one of you or of your descendants is unclean because of a corpse, or if he is absent on a journey, he may still keep the LORD'S Passover.
11 Eles a celebrarão aos catorze dias do segundo mês, entre as duas tardes; e comê-la-ão com pães sem fermento e ervas amargas.	11 But he shall keep it in the second month, during the evening twilight of the fourteenth day of that month, eating it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs,
12 Nada deixarão dela para o dia seguinte, não quebrarão nenhum dos seus ossos, e farão essa festa segundo todas as prescrições relativas à Páscoa.	12 and not leaving any of it over till morning, nor breaking any of its bones, but observing all the rules of the Passover.
13 Mas se alguém, estando puro, não se encontrar em viagem, e todavia não fizer a Páscoa, será cortado do seu povo, porque não apresentou a oferta do Senhor no tempo estabelecido; este levará a pena do seu pecado.	13 However, anyone who is clean and not away on a journey, who yet fails to keep the Passover, shall be cut off from his people, because he did not present the LORD'S offering at the prescribed time. That man shall bear the consequences of his sin.
14 Se o estrangeiro que mora no meio de vós fizer a Páscoa do Senhor, terá de se conformar às leis e às prescrições relativas à Páscoa. Haverá uma só lei, que será a mesma para vós, para o estrangeiro e para o natural."	14 "If an alien who lives among you wishes to keep the LORD'S Passover, he too shall observe the rules and regulations for the Passover. You shall have the same law for the resident alien as for the native of the land."
15 No dia em que o tabernáculo foi levantado, a nuvem o cobriu. E sobre o tabernáculo, isto é, na tenda do testemunho, desde a tarde até pela manhã, apareceu como uma espécie de fogo.	15 On the day when the Dwelling was erected, the cloud covered the Dwelling, the tent of the commandments; but from evening until morning it took on the appearance of fire over the Dwelling.
16 Assim acontecia continuamente: a nuvem cobria o tabernáculo e à noite assemelhava-se ao fogo.	16 It was always so: during the day the Dwelling was covered by the cloud, which at night had the appearance of fire.
17 Quando se levantava a nuvem sobre a tenda, os israelitas punham-se em marcha; no lugar onde a nuvem parava, aí acampavam.	17 Whenever the cloud rose from the tent, the Israelites would break camp; wherever the cloud came to rest, they would pitch camp.
18 À ordem do Senhor levantavam o acampamento, e à sua ordem o assentavam de novo; e ficavam no acampamento enquanto a nuvem permanecesse sobre o tabernáculo.	18 At the bidding of the LORD the Israelites moved on, and at his bidding they encamped. As long as the cloud stayed over the Dwelling, they remained in camp.
19 Mesmo quando ela se detinha muito tempo sobre ele, os israelitas não partiam, e aguardavam a ordem do Senhor.	19 Even when the cloud tarried many days over the Dwelling, the Israelites obeyed the LORD and would not move on;
20 E se acontecia de a nuvem ficar poucos dias sobre o tabernáculo, então, à ordem do Senhor, permaneciam acampados e, à ordem do Senhor, se punham em marcha.	20 yet sometimes the cloud was over the Dwelling only for a few days. It was at the bidding of the LORD that they stayed in camp, and it was at his bidding that they departed.
21 Se a nuvem se detinha desde a tarde até pela manhã, e chegada manhã se levantava, eles partiam; se depois de um dia e uma noite a nuvem se levantava, desmanchavam o acampamento.	21 Sometimes the cloud remained there only from evening until morning; and when it rose in the morning, they would depart. Or if the cloud lifted during the day, or even at night, they would then set out.
22 Mas se a nuvem se detinha sobre o tabernáculo vários dias, um mês ou mesmo um ano, os israelitas permaneciam acampados e não partiam; só partiam quando se levantava a nuvem.	22 Whether the cloud tarried over the Dwelling for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not depart; but when it lifted, they moved on.
23 Levantavam e desmanchavam o acampamento segundo a ordem do Senhor. E observavam o mandamento do Senhor, como este lhes tinha ordenado por Moisés.	23 Thus, it was always at the bidding of the LORD that they encamped, and at his bidding that they set out; ever heeding the charge of the LORD, as he had bidden them through Moses.
