1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:	1 Thus the word of the LORD came to me:
2 "Tu, figlio dell'uomo, eleva su Tiro una lamentazione.	2 As for you, son of man, utter a lament over Tyre,
3 Di' a Tiro: Tiro, che regna all'ingresso del mare, commercia con popoli presso tanti lidi: così dice il Signore Dio: Tiro, fosti detta nave di perfetta bellezza.	3 and say to Tyre that is situated at the approaches of the sea, that brought the trade of the peoples to many a coastland: Thus says the Lord GOD: Tyre, you said, "I am a ship, perfect in beauty."
4 Nel cuore del mare sono i tuoi confini, i tuoi costruttori ti hanno reso bellissima.	4 In the midst of the sea your builders placed you, perfected your beauty.
5 Con cipresso di Senìr hanno costruito tutte le tue zattere, cedro del Libano hanno preso per farti l'albero maestro.	5 With cypress from Senir they built for you all of your decks; Cedar from Lebanon they took to make you a mast;

14 Da Togarmà, in cambio di cavalli e cavalieri e muli, diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	14 From Beth-togarmah horses, steeds, and mules were exchanged for your wares.
15 I figli di Dedan trafficavano con te, numerosi lidi negoziavano con te, zanne d'avorio ed ebano ti restituivano in paga.	15 The Rhodanites trafficked with you; many coastlands traded with you; ivory tusks and ebony wood they gave you for payment.
16 Aram negoziava con te per l'abbondanza dei tuoi prodotti; in cambio di granato, porpora scarlatta e variopinta, bisso, corallo rosso e rubini diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	16 Edom traded with you, so many were your products, exchanging garnets, purple, embroidered cloth, fine linen, coral, and rubies for your wares.
17 Giuda e il paese d'Israele trafficavano con te. In cambio di grano di Minnìt ti portavano profumi, miele, olio e balsamo.	17 Judah and the land of Israel trafficked with you, exchanging Minnith wheat, figs, honey, oil, and balm for your goods.

21 L'Arabia e tutti i prìncipi di Kedàr mercanteggiavano con te; in agnelli, montoni e capri negoziavano con te.	21 The trade of Arabia and of all the sheikhs of Kedar belonged to you; they dealt in lambs, rams, and goats.
22 I mercanti di Saba e Raemà trafficavano con te; per le prime qualità di balsamo e ogni genere di pietra preziosa e oro diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah also traded with you, exchanging for your wares the very choicest spices, all kinds of precious stones, and gold.
23 Carran, Cannè, Eden, i mercanti di Saba, Assur, Kilmàd trafficavano con te.	23 Haran, Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Asshur, and Chilmad
24 Essi scambiavano con te indumenti di prima qualità, mantelli di porpora e stoffe variopinte, tappeti variegati, corde intrecciate e solide sui tuoi mercati.	24 traded with you, marketing with you rich garments, violet mantles, embroidered cloth, varicolored carpets, and firmly woven cords.
25 Le navi di Tarsis erano alle tue dipendenze per la tua merce. Ti sei riempita e ingrandita molto nel cuore del mare;	25 Ships of Tarshish journeyed for you in your merchandising. You were full and heavily laden in the heart of the sea.

33 Scaricando dal mare i tuoi prodotti, hai saziato molti popoli, con la quantità dei tuoi beni e della tua merce hai reso più felici i re della terra.	33 With your goods which you drew from the seas you filled many peoples; With your great wealth and merchandise you enriched the kings of the earth.
34 E ora sei distrutta dal mare negli abissi marini; la tua merce e tutta la tua accolta di gente dentro di te è affondata.	34 Now you are wrecked in the sea, in the watery depths; Your wares and all your crew have gone down with you.
35 I regnanti di tutti i lidi sono restati stupefatti per te, ai loro re si sono rizzati i capelli, il loro volto è triste.	35 All who dwell on the coastlands are aghast over you, Their kings are terrified, their faces convulsed.
36 I negozianti tra i popoli ti fischiarono: diventasti un oggetto di orrore e non esisterai mai più".	36 The traders among the peoples now hiss at you; You have become a horror, and you shall be no more.
