1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:	1 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,
2 "Tu, figlio dell'uomo, eleva su Tiro una lamentazione.	2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus;
3 Di' a Tiro: Tiro, che regna all'ingresso del mare, commercia con popoli presso tanti lidi: così dice il Signore Dio: Tiro, fosti detta nave di perfetta bellezza.	3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty.
4 Nel cuore del mare sono i tuoi confini, i tuoi costruttori ti hanno reso bellissima.	4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.
5 Con cipresso di Senìr hanno costruito tutte le tue zattere, cedro del Libano hanno preso per farti l'albero maestro.	5 They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee.
6 Con querce di Basan hanno costruito i tuoi remi, la tettoia te l'hanno fatta d'avorio, la cabina di conifere dei lidi dei Chittim.	6 Of the oaks of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.
7 Di bisso variopinto d'Egitto era la tua vela, che era un vessillo di porpora viola e scarlatta, dei lidi d'Elisà era la tua tenda.	7 Fine linen with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple from the isles of Elishah was that which covered thee.
8 I regnanti di Sidone e di Arvad erano tuoi rematori, i tuoi sapienti, o Tiro, a bordo, erano tuoi piloti.	8 The inhabitants of Zidon and Arvad were thy mariners: thy wise men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots.
9 Gli anziani di Biblos e i suoi sapienti erano in te a riparare le tue falle. Tutte le navi del mare e i loro marinai erano presso di te per scambiare le tue merci.	9 The ancients of Gebal and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise.
10 Guerrieri di Persia, di Lud e di Put erano nel tuo esercito, scudo ed elmo appendevano in te, essi costituivano il tuo decoro.	10 They of Persia and of Lud and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness.
11 I figli di Arvad e il loro esercito erano sulle tue mura all'intorno e vegliavano sulle tue torri. Appendevano gli scudi alle tue mura all'intorno e rendevano perfetta la tua bellezza.	11 The men of Arvad with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have made thy beauty perfect.
12 Tarsis negoziava con te per l'abbondanza di ogni bene e in cambio di argento, oro, stagno e piombo diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	12 Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs.
13 Grecia, Tubal e Mesech trafficavano con te; in cambio di esseri umani e oggetti di bronzo diffondevano la tua merce.	13 Javan, Tubal, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons of men and vessels of brass in thy market.
14 Da Togarmà, in cambio di cavalli e cavalieri e muli, diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	14 They of the house of Togarmah traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules.
15 I figli di Dedan trafficavano con te, numerosi lidi negoziavano con te, zanne d'avorio ed ebano ti restituivano in paga.	15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory and ebony.
16 Aram negoziava con te per l'abbondanza dei tuoi prodotti; in cambio di granato, porpora scarlatta e variopinta, bisso, corallo rosso e rubini diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	16 Syria was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of the wares of thy making: they occupied in thy fairs with emeralds, purple, and broidered work, and fine linen, and coral, and agate.
17 Giuda e il paese d'Israele trafficavano con te. In cambio di grano di Minnìt ti portavano profumi, miele, olio e balsamo.	17 Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat of Minnith, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm.
18 Damasco negoziava con te per l'abbondanza dei tuoi lavori e la molteplicità d'ogni bene; ti forniva il vino di Chelbòn e la lana di Zacar.	18 Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool.
19 Vedàn e Iavàn da Uzzàl ti rifornivano di ferro lavorato, cassia e canna aromatica in cambio della tua merce.	19 Dan also and Javan going to and fro occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market.
20 Dedan trattava con te gualdrappe per cavalcatura.	20 Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes for chariots.
21 L'Arabia e tutti i prìncipi di Kedàr mercanteggiavano con te; in agnelli, montoni e capri negoziavano con te.	21 Arabia, and all the princes of Kedar, they occupied with thee in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants.
22 I mercanti di Saba e Raemà trafficavano con te; per le prime qualità di balsamo e ogni genere di pietra preziosa e oro diffondevano i tuoi prodotti.	22 The merchants of Sheba and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold.
23 Carran, Cannè, Eden, i mercanti di Saba, Assur, Kilmàd trafficavano con te.	23 Haran, and Canneh, and Eden, the merchants of Sheba, Assur, and Chilmad, were thy merchants.
24 Essi scambiavano con te indumenti di prima qualità, mantelli di porpora e stoffe variopinte, tappeti variegati, corde intrecciate e solide sui tuoi mercati.	24 These were thy merchants in all sorts of things, in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise.
25 Le navi di Tarsis erano alle tue dipendenze per la tua merce. Ti sei riempita e ingrandita molto nel cuore del mare;	25 The ships of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious in the midst of the seas.
26 nelle grandi acque ti hanno fatto navigare i tuoi naviganti, ma il vento orientale ti ha distrutta nel cuore del mare.	26 Thy rowers have brought thee into great waters: the east wind hath broken thee in the midst of the seas.
27 I tuoi beni e la tua roba, la tua merce, i tuoi naviganti e piloti, quelli che riparavano le tue falle e quelli che commerciavano la tua merce e tutti i tuoi soldati che sono in te e tutta l'accolta di gente che è dentro di te cadono in fondo al mare, nel giorno della tua rovina.	27 Thy riches, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all thy company which is in the midst of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin.
28 Al sentire il grido dei tuoi naviganti tremano le località vicine,	28 The suburbs shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots.
29 scendono dalle loro navi tutti quelli che tengono il remo, naviganti, piloti tutti del mare si fermano a terra	29 And all that handle the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land;
30 e fanno sentire i loro clamori su di te; gridano amareggiati, si gettano polvere in testa, si avvoltolano nella cenere.	30 And shall cause their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow themselves in the ashes:
31 Si tosano a raso i capelli per te, si cingono di sacco, singhiozzano per te, con l'anima amareggiata. Un pianto amaro!	31 And they shall make themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing.
32 Nel loro gemito innalzano per te una lamentazione, si lamentano su di te: "Chi era come Tiro, una fortezza in mezzo al mare?".	32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
33 Scaricando dal mare i tuoi prodotti, hai saziato molti popoli, con la quantità dei tuoi beni e della tua merce hai reso più felici i re della terra.	33 When thy wares went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise.
34 E ora sei distrutta dal mare negli abissi marini; la tua merce e tutta la tua accolta di gente dentro di te è affondata.	34 In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall.
35 I regnanti di tutti i lidi sono restati stupefatti per te, ai loro re si sono rizzati i capelli, il loro volto è triste.	35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance.
36 I negozianti tra i popoli ti fischiarono: diventasti un oggetto di orrore e non esisterai mai più".	36 The merchants among the people shall hiss at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt be any more.
