LA SACRA BIBBIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Terminata la cena, decisero di andare a dormire. Accompagnarono il giovane e lo introdussero nella camera da letto.	1 When they had finished eating and drinking and it seemed time to go to bed, the young man was takenfrom the dining room to the bedroom.
2 Allora Tobia si ricordò delle parole di Raffaele: prese dal suo sacco il fegato e il cuore del pesce e li pose sul porta-brace dell'incenso.	2 Tobias remembered Raphael's advice; he went to his bag, took the fish's heart and liver out of it and putsome on the burning incense.
3 L'odore del pesce arrestò il demonio che fuggì nelle regioni dell'alto Egitto. Raffaele lo seguì sull'istante e ivi lo incatenò legandolo mani e piedi.	3 The reek of the fish distressed the demon, who fled through the air to Egypt. 16 Sei benedetto per la gioia che mi hai concesso, non è avvenuto ciò che si temeva, ma ci hai trattato secondo la tua grande misericordia.	16 You are blessed for having made me glad. What I feared has not happened, instead you have shownus your boundless mercy.
17 Tu sei benedetto, perché hai avuto compassione di due figli unici. Sii misericordioso con essi, o Signore, e proteggili! Falli giungere al termine della loro vita nella gioia e nella grazia!".	17 You are blessed for taking pity on this only son, this only daughter. Grant them, Master, your mercyand your protection; let them live out their lives in happiness and in mercy.
18 Allora Raguel ordinò ai servi di riempire la fossa, prima che si facesse giorno.	18 And he made his servants fil the grave in before dawn broke.
19 Indi ordinò alla moglie di fare dei pani in abbondanza; poi andò al gregge e riportò due buoi e quattro montoni; li fece macellare e cominciarono così a preparare il banchetto.	19 He told his wife to make an ovenful of bread; he went to his flock, brought back two oxen and foursheep and gave orders for them to be cooked; and preparations began.
20 Poi, chiamato Tobia, gli disse: "Per quattordici giorni non ti muoverai di qui, ma ti fermerai qui a banchettare nella mia casa rendendo felice l'anima già tanto afflitta di mia figlia.	20 He called Tobias and said, 'I wil not hear of your leaving here for a fortnight. You are to stay whereyou are, eating and drinking, with me. You wil make my daughter happy again after al her troubles.
21 Prenditi sin d'ora la metà dei miei beni e ritorna sano e salvo dal padre tuo. L'altra metà sarà vostra quando io e mia moglie saremo morti. Coraggio, o figlio, io sono tuo padre e Edna è tua madre; siamo tuoi e di questa tua sorella da ora per sempre.
