Hebrews 8

1 Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,	1 Ma questo capitolo è sopra quelle cose che si dicono: tal pontefice avemo, il quale siede insieme, nella parte diritta della sedia della grandezza, nelli luoghi celestiali;
2 a minister in the sanctuary and the true tent which is set up not by man but by the Lord.	2 il quale è ministro di sante cose, e del tabernacolo, il quale fece Dio, e non uomo.
3 For every high priest is appointed to offer gifts and sacrifices; hence it is necessary for this priest also to have something to offer.	3 Veramente ogni pontefice è ordinato per of ferire a Dio ostie e doni; onde è mestieri ch' egli abbia alcuna cosa che offerisca.
4 Now if he were on earth, he would not be a priest at all, since there are priests who offer gifts according to the law.	4 Adunque s' egli fosse sopra la terra, non sarebbe sacerdote; conciosia cosa che fosse chi offerisse munera secondo la legge.
5 They serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly sanctuary; for when Moses was about to erect the tent, he was instructed by God, saying, "See that you make everything according to the pattern which was shown you on the mountain."	5 Li quali servono all' ombra e alla figura delle celestiali cose, sì come fu risposto a Moisè (da Dio) quando egli ebbe compiuto il tabernacolo così: guarda, (Moisè) e fa tutte le cose secondo l' esempio il quale è mostrato a te nel monte.
6 But as it is, Christ has obtained a ministry which is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises.	6 Ma ora ha trovato meglior ministerio (dispensato), quanto egli è mediatore di megliore testamento, il quale è ordinato in megliore promissione.
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion for a second.	7 Che se quello fosse stato vôto (e vano) di colpa, per certo non sarebbe richiesto luogo di secondo testamento.
8 For he finds fault with them when he says: "The days will come, says the Lord, when I will establish a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;	8 Veramente vituperandolo (il profeta egli) dice (a quel popolo della legge vecchia): ecco li di che vengono, dice il Signore, e compirò sopra la casa di Iuda il testamento novo;
9 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they did not continue in my covenant, and so I paid no heed to them, says the Lord.	9 non secondo il testamento il quale feci a' loro padri, nel dì ch' io presi la mano di coloro per menarli fuori della terra d' Egitto; imperò ch' egli non permanettono nel mio testamento, e io gli ho abbandonati, dice il Signore.
10 This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.	10 Chè questo è il testamento, il quale io ho ordinato alla casa d' Israel dopo quel dì, dice il Signore; dando la mia legge, nelle menti loro e nei loro cuori la scriverò; e sarò loro Dio, ed egli saranno mio popolo.
11 And they shall not teach every one his fellow or every one his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for all shall know me, from the least of them to the greatest.	11 E non predicarà ciascuno il vicino suo e il fratello suo dicendogli: conosci il Signore; chè tutti mi conosceranno.
12 For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more."	12 Imperò ch' io perdonarò le peccata loro, e di loro iniquità non mi ricordarò più,
13 In speaking of a new covenant he treats the first as obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.	13 dicendo: il nuovo invecchierà il primaio; chè quella cosa, ch' è antica e vecchia, si è presso al cadimento.
