Hebrews 13

1 Let brotherly love continue.	1 Let mutual love continue.
2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.	2 Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels.
3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them; and those who are ill-treated, since you also are in the body.	3 Be mindful of prisoners as if sharing their imprisonment, and of the ill-treated as of yourselves, for you also are in the body.
4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for God will judge the immoral and adulterous.	4 Let marriage be honored among all and the marriage bed be kept undefiled, for God will judge the immoral and adulterers.
5 Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have; for he has said, "I will never fail you nor forsake you."	5 Let your life be free from love of money but be content with what you have, for he has said, "I will never forsake you or abandon you."
6 Hence we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid; what can man do to me?"	6 Thus we may say with confidence: "The Lord is my helper, (and) I will not be afraid. What can anyone do to me?"
7 Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God; consider the outcome of their life, and imitate their faith.	7 Remember your leaders who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.	8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
9 Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings; for it is well that the heart be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited their adherents.	9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them.
10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tent have no right to eat.	10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.
11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp.	11 The bodies of the animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuary as a sin offering are burned outside the camp.
12 So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood.	12 Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, to consecrate the people by his own blood.

21 equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in you that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. 22 I appeal to you, brethren, bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written to you briefly.	22 Brothers, I ask you to bear with this message of encouragement, for I have written to you rather briefly.
23 You should understand that our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I shall see you if he comes soon.	23 I must let you know that our brother Timothy has been set free. If he comes soon, I shall see you together with him.
