Ephesians 3

1 For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner for Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles--	1 Per questa cagione io Paolo (sono) il prigioniero di Cristo Gesù per voi gentili,
2 assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you,	2 Se pur siete stati informati del ministero della grazia di Dio, che fa a me conceduto per voi:
3 how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly.	3 Conciossiacbé per rivelazione fu a me notificato questo mistero, conforme ho scritto brevemente di sopra:
4 When you read this you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ,	4 Dal che potete in leggendo conoscere la scienza, che io ho del mistero di Cristo:
5 which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;	5 Il quale non fu conosciuto nell' altre età da' figliuoli degli uomini nella maniera, che ora è stato rivelato ai santi Apostoli di lui, e a' profeti dallo Spirito,
6 that is, how the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.	6 Che le genti sono coeredi, e dello stesso corpo, e consorti della promessa di lui in Cristo Gesù mediante il vangelo:
7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace which was given me by the working of his power.	7 Del quale son io stato fatto ministro per dono della grazia di Dio, la quale è stata conferita a me secondo l'efficacia, della potenza di lui.
8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,	8 A me menomissimo di tutti i santi o stata data questa grazia di evangelizzare tralle genti le incomprensibili ricchezze di Cristo,
9 and to make all men see what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things;	9 E di disvelare a tutti, quale sia la dispensazione del mistero ascoso da secoli in Dio, che ha create tutte le cose:
10 that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places.	10 Onde adesso per mezzo della Chiesa sia conosciuta dai principati, e dalle potestà ne' cieli la moltiforme sapienza di Dio,
11 This was according to the eternal purpose which he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord,	11 Secondo la determinazione eterna, che egli ne fece in Cristo Gesù Signor nostro:
12 in whom we have boldness and confidence of access through our faith in him.	12 In cui abbiamo fiducia, ed accesso (a Dio), confidanza per mezzo della fede di lui.
13 So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.	13 Per la qual cosa io vi chieggo, che non vi perdiate d'animo per le tribolazioni, che io ho per voi: le quali sono vostra gloria.
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,	14 A questo fine piego le mie ginocchia dinanzi al Padre del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,	15 Da cui tutta la famiglia e in cielo, e in terra prende nome,
16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with might through his Spirit in the inner man,	16 Affinchè conceda a voi secondo l'abbondanza della sua gloria che siate corroborali in virtù secondo l'uomo interiore per mezzo del suo Spirito,
17 and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,	17 Che Cristo abiti ne' cuori vostri mediante la fede: essendo voi radicati, e fondati nella carità,
18 may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,	18 Perché possiate con tutti i santi comprendere, quale sia la larghezza, la lunghezza, e l'altezza, e la profondità:
19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fulness of God.	19 Ed intendere eziandio quella, che ogni scienza sorpassa, carità di Cristo, affinchè di tutta la pienezza di Dio siate ripieni.
20 Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think,	20 E a lui, che è potente per fare tutte le cose con sovrabbondanza superiore a quel, che domandiamo, o comprendiamo, secondo la virtù, che sfoggiatamente opera in noi:
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.	21 A lui gloria nella Chiesa, e in Cristo Gesù, per tutte le generazioni di tutti i secoli. Cosi sia.
