Micah 7

1 Woe is me! For I have become as when the summer fruit has been gathered, as when the vintage has been gleaned: there is no cluster to eat, no first-ripe fig which my soul desires.	1 Malheur à moi! je suis devenu comme un moissonneur en été, comme un grappilleur auxvendanges: plus une grappe à manger, plus une figue précoce que je désire!
2 The godly man has perished from the earth, and there is none upright among men; they all lie in wait for blood, and each hunts his brother with a net.	2 Les fidèles ont disparu du pays: pas un juste parmi les gens! Tous sont aux aguets pour verser lesang, ils traquent chacun son frère au filet.
3 Their hands are upon what is evil, to do it diligently; the prince and the judge ask for a bribe, and the great man utters the evil desire of his soul; thus they weave it together.	3 Pour faire le mal leurs mains sont habiles: le prince réclame, le juge juge pour un cadeau, le grandprononce suivant son bon plaisir.
4 The best of them is like a brier, the most upright of them a thorn hedge. The day of their watchmen, of their punishment, has come; now their confusion is at hand.	4 Parmi eux le meilleur est comme une ronce, le plus juste comme une haie d'épines. Aujourd'huiarrive du Nord leur épreuve; c'est l'instant de leur confusion.
5 Put no trust in a neighbor, have no confidence in a friend; guard the doors of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom;	5 Ne vous fiez pas au prochain, n'ayez point confiance en l'ami; devant celle qui partage ta couche,garde-toi d'ouvrir la bouche.
6 for the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.	6 Car le fils insulte le père, la fille se dresse contre sa mère, la belle-fille contre sa belle-mère, chacuna pour ennemis les gens de sa maison.
7 But as for me, I will look to the LORD, I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.	7 Mais moi, je regarde vers Yahvé, j'espère dans le Dieu qui me sauvera; mon Dieu m'entendra.
8 Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.	8 Ne te réjouis pas à mon sujet, ô mon ennemie: si je suis tombée, je me relèverai; si je demeure dansles ténèbres, Yahvé est ma lumière.
9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I shall behold his deliverance.	9 Je dois porter la colère de Yahvé, puisque j'ai péché contre lui, jusqu'à ce qu'il juge ma cause et mefasse justice; il me fera sortir à la lumière, et je contemplerai ses justes oeuvres.
10 Then my enemy will see, and shame will cover her who said to me, "Where is the LORD your God?" My eyes will gloat over her; now she will be trodden down like the mire of the streets.	10 Quand mon ennemie le verra, elle sera couverte de honte, elle qui me disait: "Où est-il, Yahvé tonDieu?" Mes yeux la contempleront, tandis qu'elle sera piétinée comme la boue des rues.
11 A day for the building of your walls! In that day the boundary shall be far extended.	11 Le jour de rebâtir tes remparts! Ce jour-là s'étendront tes frontières;
12 In that day they will come to you, from Assyria to Egypt, and from Egypt to the River, from sea to sea and from mountain to mountain.	12 ce jour-là, on viendra jusqu'à toi depuis l'Assyrie jusqu'à l'Egypte, depuis Tyr jusqu'au Fleuve, dela mer à la mer, de la montagne à la montagne.
13 But the earth will be desolate because of its inhabitants, for the fruit of their doings.	13 La terre deviendra une solitude à cause de ses habitants, pour prix de leur conduite.
14 Shepherd thy people with thy staff, the flock of thy inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest in the midst of a garden land; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old.	14 Fais paître ton peuple sous ta houlette, le troupeau de ton héritage, qui demeure isolé dans lesbroussailles, au milieu des vergers. Puisse-t-il paître en Bashân et en Galaad comme aux jours antiques!
15 As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt I will show them marvelous things.	15 Comme aux jours où tu sortis du pays d'Egypte, fais-nous voir des merveilles!
16 The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might; they shall lay their hands on their mouths; their ears shall be deaf;	16 Les nations verront et seront confondues malgré toute leur puissance; elles se mettront la main surla bouche, elles en auront les oreilles assourdies.
17 they shall lick the dust like a serpent, like the crawling things of the earth; they shall come trembling out of their strongholds, they shall turn in dread to the LORD our God, and they shall fear because of thee.	17 Elles lécheront la poussière comme le serpent, comme les bêtes qui rampent sur la terre. Ellessortiront tremblantes de leurs repaires, terrifiées et craintives devant toi.
18 Who is a God like thee, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger for ever because he delights in steadfast love.	18 Quel est le dieu comme toi, qui enlève la faute, qui pardonne le crime, qui n'exaspère pas pourtoujours sa colère, mais qui prend plaisir à faire grâce?
19 He will again have compassion upon us, he will tread our iniquities under foot. Thou wilt cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.	19 Une fois de plus, aie pitié de nous! foule aux pieds nos fautes, jette au fond de la mer tous nospéchés!
20 Thou wilt show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as thou hast sworn to our fathers from the days of old.	20 Accorde à Jacob ta fidélité, à Abraham ta grâce, que tu as jurées à nos pères dès les jours d'antan.
