Micah 4

1 It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it,	1 Avverrà alla fine dei giorni che la montagna della casa del Signore sarà fondata sulla cima dei monti, si alzerà sopra le colline, e ad essa affluiranno i popoli,
2 and many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.	2 a lei accorreranno molte nazioni, e diranno: « Venite, ascendiamo al monte del Signore, alla casa del Dio di Giacobbe: egli ci insegnerà le sue vie, e noi seguiremo i suoi sentieri; perche da Sion uscirà la legge e da Gerusalemme la parola del Signore?
3 He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more;	3 Egli sarà l'arbitro di numerose nazioni, correggerà popoli possenti, anche lontani, ed essi trasformeranno le loro spade in vomeri, le loro aste in zappe; una nazione non impugnerà più la spada contro l'altra, non impareranno più a far la guerra.
4 but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree, and none shall make them afraid; for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken.	4 Ciascuno sederà sotto la suà vite, sotto il suo fico, nessuno verrà a turbare la pace, perchè la bocca del Signore degli eserciti ha parlato.
5 For all the peoples walk each in the name of its god, but we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever.	5 Allora ogni popolo camminerà nel nome del suo Dio, e noi cammineremo nel nome del Signore nostro Dio, in eterno più ancora.
6 In that day, says the LORD, I will assemble the lame and gather those who have been driven away, and those whom I have afflicted;	6 In quel giorno — dice il Signore — io radunerò e la zoppicante e la scacciata radunerò, e quella da me percossa:
7 and the lame I will make the remnant; and those who were cast off, a strong nation; and the LORD will reign over them in Mount Zion from this time forth and for evermore.	7 alla zoppicante darò degli avanzi, farò dell'afflitta una nazione robusta, e sopra di loro regnerà il Signore, nel monte di Sion, da questo momento per tutta l'eternità.
8 And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.	8 E tu, torre del gregge, caliginosa figlia di Sion, verrà fino a te, verrà la potestà suprema il regno della figlia di Gerusalemme.
9 Now why do you cry aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pangs have seized you like a woman in travail?	9 Perchè ora ti contorci nel dolore? Forse non hai più re? è morto il tuo consigliere? Chè il dolore ti strazia come una partoriente?
10 Writhe and groan, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you shall go forth from the city and dwell in the open country; you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued, there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.	10 Soffri, fa i tuoi sforzi, o figlia di Sion, come una partoriente; perchè ora partirai dalla città, andrai ad abitare in altra regione, arriverai fino a Babilonia: là sarai liberata, là il Signore ti riscatterà dalle mani dei tuoi nemici.
11 Now many nations are assembled against you, saying, "Let her be profaned, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion."	11 Ma ora contro te si sono radunate numerose nazioni. Esse dicono: — Sia lapidata: possan guardare i nostri occhi dentro Sion! —
12 But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, they do not understand his plan, that he has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.	12 Ma essi non conoscono i disegni del Signore, non capiscono i suoi propositi: li ha radunati come paglia nell'aia.
13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron and your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples, and shall devote their gain to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of the whole earth.	13 Sorgi, o figlia di Sion, e tribbia. Io ti farò corna di ferro, io ti farò unghie di bronzo, e tu stritolerai numerosi popoli e consacrerai le loro rapine al Signore, le loro ricchezze al Signore di tutta la terra.
