Ezekiel 8

1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, with the elders of Judah sitting before me, the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me.	1 La sixième année, au sixième mois, le cinq du mois, j'étais assis chez moi et les anciens de Judaétaient assis devant moi; c'est là que la main du Seigneur Yahvé s'abattit sur moi.
2 Then I beheld, and, lo, a form that had the appearance of a man; below what appeared to be his loins it was fire, and above his loins it was like the appearance of brightness, like gleaming bronze.	2 Je regardai: il y avait un être qui avait l'apparence d'un homme. Depuis ce qui paraissait être sesreins et au-dessous, c'était du feu, et depuis ses reins et au-dessus, c'était quelque chose comme une lueur,comme l'éclat du vermeil.
3 He put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the gateway of the inner court that faces north, where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy.	3 Il étendit une forme de main et me prit par une mèche de cheveux; l'esprit m'enleva entre ciel etterre et m'emmena à Jérusalem, en des visions divines, à l'entrée du porche intérieur qui regarde le nord, là où setrouve le siège de l'idole de la jalousie, qui provoque la jalousie.
4 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain.	4 Or voici que la gloire du Dieu d'Israël était-là; elle avait l'aspect de ce que j'avais vu dans la vallée.
5 Then he said to me, "Son of man, lift up your eyes now in the direction of the north." So I lifted up my eyes toward the north, and behold, north of the altar gate, in the entrance, was this image of jealousy.	5 Il me dit: "Fils d'homme, lève les yeux vers le nord." Je levai les yeux vers le nord, et voici qu'aunord du porche de l'autel il y avait cette idole de la jalousie, à l'entrée.
6 And he said to me, "Son of man, do you see what they are doing, the great abominations that the house of Israel are committing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see still greater abominations."	6 Il me dit: "Fils d'homme, vois-tu ce qu'ils font? Toutes les abominations affreuses que la maisond'Israël pratique ici pour m'éloigner de mon sanctuaire? Et tu verras encore d'autres abominations affreuses."
7 And he brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, behold, there was a hole in the wall.	7 Il me conduisit à l'entrée du parvis. Je regardai: il y avait un trou dans le mur.
8 Then said he to me, "Son of man, dig in the wall"; and when I dug in the wall, lo, there was a door.	8 Il me dit: "Fils d'homme, fais un trou dans le mur." Je fis un trou dans le mur et il y eut uneouverture.
9 And he said to me, "Go in, and see the vile abominations that they are committing here."	9 Il me dit: "Entre et regarde les misérables abominations qu'ils pratiquent ici."
10 So I went in and saw; and there, portrayed upon the wall round about, were all kinds of creeping things, and loathsome beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel.	10 J'entrai et je regardai: c'étaient toutes sortes d'images de reptiles et de bêtes répugnantes, et toutesles ordures de la maison d'Israël gravées sur le mur, tout autour.
11 And before them stood seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, with Ja-azaniah the son of Shaphan standing among them. Each had his censer in his hand, and the smoke of the cloud of incense went up.	11 70 hommes, des anciens de la maison d'Israël, étaient debout devant les idoles - et Yaazanyahufils de Shaphân était debout parmi eux - ayant chacun son encensoir à la main; et le parfum du nuage d'encensmontait.
12 Then he said to me, "Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, every man in his room of pictures? For they say, 'The LORD does not see us, the LORD has forsaken the land.'"	12 Il me dit: "As-tu vu, fils d'homme, ce que font dans l'obscurité les anciens de la maison d'Israël,chacun dans sa chambre ornée de peintures? Ils disent: Yahvé ne nous voit pas, Yahvé a quitté le pays."
13 He said also to me, "You will see still greater abominations which they commit."	13 Et il me dit: "Tu verras encore d'autres abominations affreuses qu'ils pratiquent."
14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the LORD; and behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.	14 Il m'emmena à l'entrée du porche du Temple de Yahvé qui regarde vers le nord, et voici que lesfemmes y étaient assises, pleurant Tammuz.
15 Then he said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? You will see still greater abominations than these."	15 Il me dit: "As-tu vu, fils d'homme? Tu verras encore d'autres abominations plus affreuses quecelles-ci."
16 And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the LORD; and behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men, with their backs to the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east, worshiping the sun toward the east.	16 Il m'emmena vers le parvis intérieur du Temple de Yahvé. Et voici qu'à l'entrée du sanctuaire deYahvé, entre le vestibule et l'autel, il y avait environ 25 hommes, tournant le dos au sanctuaire de Yahvé,regardant vers l'orient. Ils se prosternaient vers l'orient, devant le soleil.
17 Then he said to me, "Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it too slight a thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here, that they should fill the land with violence, and provoke me further to anger? Lo, they put the branch to their nose.	17 Et il me dit: "As-tu vu, fils d'homme? N'est-ce pas assez pour la maison de Juda de pratiquer lesabominations auxquelles ils se livrent ici? Or ils emplissent le pays de violence, ils provoquent encore ma colère:les voici qui approchent le rameau de leur nez.
18 Therefore I will deal in wrath; my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity; and though they cry in my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them."	18 Moi aussi, j'agirai avec fureur; je n'aurai pas un regard de pitié et je n'épargnerai pas. Ils aurontbeau crier d'une voix forte à mes oreilles, je ne les écouterai pas."
