Isaiah 65

1 I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, "Here am I, here am I," to a nation that did not call on my name.	1 IO sono stato ricercato da quelli che non domandavano di me, io sono stato trovato da quelli che non mi cercavano; io ho detto alla gente che non si chiamava del mio Nome: Eccomi, eccomi.
2 I spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, following their own devices;	2 Io ho stese tuttodì le mani ad un popolo ribello, il qual cammina per una via che non è buona, dietro a’ suoi pensieri;
3 a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens and burning incense upon bricks;	3 ad un popolo, che del continuo mi dispetta in faccia, che sacrifica nei giardini, e fa profumi sopra i mattoni.
4 who sit in tombs, and spend the night in secret places; who eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;	4 Il qual dimora fra i sepolcri, e passa le notti ne’ luoghi appartati; che mangia carne di porco, e ne’ cui vaselli vi è del brodo di cose abbominevoli.
5 who say, "Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am set apart from you." These are a smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.	5 Che dice: Fatti in là, non accostarti a me; perciocchè io son più santo di te. Tali sono un fumo al mio naso, un fuoco ardente tuttodì.
6 Behold, it is written before me: "I will not keep silent, but I will repay, yea, I will repay into their bosom	6 Ecco, tutto questo è scritto nel mio cospetto; io non mi tacerò, ma ne farò la retribuzione; ne farò loro la retribuzione in seno.
7 their iniquities and their fathers' iniquities together, says the LORD; because they burned incense upon the mountains and reviled me upon the hills, I will measure into their bosom payment for their former doings."	7 Le vostre iniquità, e l’iniquità de’ vostri padri, che han fatti profumi sopra i monti, e mi hanno villaneggiato sopra i colli, son tutte insieme, ha detto il Signore; perciò, io misurerò loro in seno il pagamento di ciò che han fatto fin dal principio
8 Thus says the LORD: "As the wine is found in the cluster, and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,' so I will do for my servants' sake, and not destroy them all.	8 Così ha detto il Signore: Siccome, quando si trova del mosto ne’ grappoli, si dice: Non guastar la vigna, perciocchè vi è della benedizione; così farò io per amor de’ miei servitori, per non guastare ogni cosa.
9 I will bring forth descendants from Jacob, and from Judah inheritors of my mountains; my chosen shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.	9 E farò uscire di Giacobbe una progenie, e di Giuda de’ possessori de’ miei monti; ed i miei eletti possederanno la terra, ed i miei servitori abiteranno in essa.
10 Sharon shall become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, for my people who have sought me.	10 E Saron sarà per mandra del minuto bestiame, e la valle di Acor per mandra del grosso; per lo mio popolo che mi avrà cercato
11 But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny;	11 Ma quant’è a voi che abbandonate il Signore, che dimenticate il monte della mia santità, che apparecchiate la mensa al pianeta Gad, e fate a piena coppa offerte da spandere a Meni,
12 I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter; because, when I called, you did not answer, when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes, and chose what I did not delight in."	12 io vi darò a conto alla spada, e voi tutti sarete messi giù per essere scannati; perciocchè io ho chiamato, e voi non avete risposto; io ho parlato, e voi non avete ascoltato; anzi avete fatto ciò che mi dispiace, ed avete eletto ciò che non mi aggrada.
13 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame;	13 Perciò, così ha detto il Signore Iddio: Ecco, i miei servitori mangeranno, e voi sarete affamati; ecco, i miei servitori berranno, e voi sarete assetati; ecco, i miei servitori si rallegreranno, e voi sarete confusi;
14 behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, but you shall cry out for pain of heart, and shall wail for anguish of spirit.	14 ecco, i miei servitori giubileranno di letizia di cuore, e voi striderete di cordoglio, ed urlerete di rottura di spirito.
15 You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord GOD will slay you; but his servants he will call by a different name.	15 E lascerete il vostro nome a’ miei eletti, per servir d’esecrazione; e il Signore Iddio ti ucciderà; ma egli nominerà i suoi servitori d’un altro nome.
16 So that he who blesses himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth, and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and are hid from my eyes.	16 Colui che si benedirà nella terra si benedirà nell’Iddio di verità; e colui che giurerà nella terra giurerà per l’Iddio di perità; perciocchè le afflizioni di prima saranno dimenticate, e saranno nascoste dagli occhi miei
17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.	17 Perciocchè, ecco, io creo nuovi cieli, e nuova terra; e le cose di prima non saranno più rammemorate, e non verranno più alla mente.
18 But be glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.	18 Anzi rallegratevi, e festeggiate in perpetuo, per le cose che io son per creare; perciocchè, ecco, io creerò Gerusalemme per esser tutta gioia, ed il suo popolo per esser tutto letizia.
19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress.	19 Ed io festeggerò di Gerusalemme, e mi rallegrerò del mio popolo; ed in quella non si udirà più voce di pianto, nè voce di strido.
20 No more shall there be in it an infant that lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.	20 Non vi sarà più da indi innanzi bambino di pochi giorni nè vecchio, che non compia la sua età; perciocchè chi morrà d’età di cent’anni sarà ancora fanciullo, e il malfattore d’età di cent’anni sarà maledetto.
21 They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.	21 Ed edificheranno delle case, e vi abiteranno; e pianteranno delle vigne, e ne mangeranno il frutto.
22 They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.	22 Ei non avverrà più ch’essi edifichino delle case, e che altri vi abiti dentro; ch’essi piantino, e che altri mangi il frutto; perciocchè i giorni del mio popolo saranno come i giorni degli alberi, e i miei eletti faranno invecchiar l’opera delle lor mani.
23 They shall not labor in vain, or bear children for calamity; for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their children with them.	23 Non si affaticheranno più in vano, e non genereranno più a turbamento; perciocchè saranno la progenie de’ benedetti del Signore, ed avran seco quelli che saranno usciti di loro.
24 Before they call I will answer, while they are yet speaking I will hear.	24 Ed avverrà che, avanti che abbian gridato, io risponderò; mentre parleranno ancora, io li avrò esauditi.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD."	25 Il lupo e l’agnello pastureranno insieme; e il leone mangerà lo strame come il bue; e il cibo della serpe sarà la polvere; queste bestie, in tutto il monte della mia santità, non faranno danno, nè guasto; ha detto il Signore
