Psalms 143

1 A Psalm of David. Hear my prayer, O LORD; give ear to my supplications! In thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness!	1 Salmo. De David. Yahveh, escucha mi oración, presta oído a mis súplicas, por tu lealtad respóndeme, por tu justicia;
2 Enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no man living is righteous before thee.	2 no entres en juicio con tu siervo, pues no es justo ante ti ningún viviente.
3 For the enemy has pursued me; he has crushed my life to the ground; he has made me sit in darkness like those long dead.	3 Persigue mi alma el enemigo, mi vida estrella contra el suelo; me hace morar en las tinieblas, como los que han muerto para siempre;
4 Therefore my spirit faints within me; my heart within me is appalled.	4 se apaga en mí el aliento, mi corazón dentro de mí enmudece.
5 I remember the days of old, I meditate on all that thou hast done; I muse on what thy hands have wrought.	5 Me acuerdo de los días de antaño, medito en todas tus acciones, pondero las obras de tus manos;
6 I stretch out my hands to thee; my soul thirsts for thee like a parched land. [Selah]	6 hacia ti mis manos tiendo, mi alma es como una tierra que tiene sed de ti. Pausa.
7 Make haste to answer me, O LORD! My spirit fails! Hide not thy face from me, lest I be like those who go down to the Pit.	7 ¡Oh, pronto, respóndeme, Yahveh, el aliento me falta; no escondas lejos de mí tu rostro, pues sería yo como los que bajan a la fosa!
8 Let me hear in the morning of thy steadfast love, for in thee I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to thee I lift up my soul.	8 Haz que sienta tu amor a la mañana, porque confío en ti; hazme saber el camino a seguir, porque hacia ti levanto mi alma.
9 Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies! I have fled to thee for refuge!	9 Líbrame de mis enemigos, Yahveh en ti me refugio;
10 Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God! Let thy good spirit lead me on a level path!	10 enséñame a cumplir tu voluntad, porque tú eres mi Dios; tu espíritu que es bueno me guíe por una tierra llana.
11 For thy name's sake, O LORD, preserve my life! In thy righteousness bring me out of trouble!	11 Por tu nombre, Yahveh, dame la vida, por tu justicia saca mi alma de la angustia;
12 And in thy steadfast love cut off my enemies, and destroy all my adversaries, for I am thy servant.	12 por tu amor aniquila a mis enemigos, pierde a todos los que oprimen mi alma, porque yo soy tu servidor.
