Psalms 11

1 To the choirmaster. Of David. In the LORD I take refuge; how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains;	1 Ao mestre do coro. Sobre a oitava. Salmo. De Davide.
2 for lo, the wicked bend the bow, they have fitted their arrow to the string, to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart;	2 Salva-nos, Senhor, porque faltam pessoas de piedade, desapareceu a fidelidade entre os filhos dos homens.
3 if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do"?	3 Cada um somente diz falsidade ao seu próximo;
4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven; his eyes behold, his eyelids test, the children of men.	4 Extirpe o Senhor todos os lábios dolosos, a língua que fala com arrogância,
5 The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, and his soul hates him that loves violence.	5 aqueles que dizem : "Somos fortes com a nossa língua, estão por nós os nossos lábios: quem é senhor de nós?"
6 On the wicked he will rain coals of fire and brimstone; a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.	6 "Por causa da aflição dos humildes e do gemido dos pobres, agora me levantarei (para os defender), diz o Senhor, darei salvação a quem a deseja."
7 For the LORD is righteous, he loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold his face.	7 As palavras do Senhor são palavras sinceras, são prata acrisolada, limpa da terra, depurada sete vezes.
	8 Tu, Senhor, nos guardarás, nos preservarás para sempre desta raça.
	9 Os ímpios passeiam ao redor, enquanto se pavoneiam os homens mais vis.
