Nehemiah 3

1 Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set its doors; they consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hananel.	1 E levossi Eliasib, lo grande sacerdote, e li suoi fratelli sacerdoti, ed edificorono la porta degli animali; loro (dopo questo) la santificorono, e statuirono (ordinorono ed edificorono) le sue porte, e persino alla torre (per lo spazio) di cento cubiti santificorono quella, persino alla torre Ananeel.
2 And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.	2 E appo lui edificorono gli uomini di Ierico; e appo lui edificò Zacur figliuolo di Amri.
3 And the sons of Hassenaah built the Fish Gate; they laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.	3 E la porta de' pesci edificorono i figliuoli di Asnaa; loro (la ordinorono e) coprìrla, e fecero le sue porte e serrature e le stanghe; e appo loro edificoe Marimut figliuolo di Uria figliuolo di Accus.
4 And next to them Meremoth the son of Uriah, son of Hakkoz repaired. And next to them Meshullam the son of Berechiah, son of Meshezabel repaired. And next to them Zadok the son of Baana repaired.	4 E appo lui edificò Mosollam figliuolo di Barachia figliuolo di Mesezebel; e appo lui edificò Sadoc figliuolo di Baana.
5 And next to them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.	5 E appo costoro edificorono i Tecueniti; e li loro principali e onorati non si volleno adoperare nell'opera del suo Signore Iddio.
6 And Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the Old Gate; they laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.	6 E la porta vecchia edificorono Ioiada [figliuolo di] Fasea e Mosollam figliuolo di Besodia; costoro la coprirono, e (edificorono e) feceno le sue porte e le chiavature e le stanghe.
7 And next to them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, who were under the jurisdiction of the governor of the province Beyond the River.	7 E appo loro edificò Meltia Gabaonite e Iadon Meronatite, uomini di Gabaon e Masfa, per lo governatore lo quale era nella regione di là dal fiume.
8 Next to them Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, repaired. 13 Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the Valley Gate; they rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.	13 E la porta della valle edificò Anun e gli abitatori di Zanoe; costoro la edificorono, e fecero le sue porte e le chiavature e le stanghe, e mille cubiti nel muro persino alla porta delle brutture.
14 Malchijah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem, repaired the Dung Gate; he rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.	14 E la porta delle brutture edificò Melchia figliuolo di Recab, principe della contrada di Betacaram; lui la edificò, e fece le sue porte e le serrature e le stanghe sue.
15 And Shallum the son of Colhozeh, ruler of the district of Mizpah, repaired the Fountain Gate; he rebuilt it and covered it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars; and he built the wall of the Pool of Shelah of the king's garden, as far as the stairs that go down from the City of David.	15 E la porta della fonte edificò Sellum figliuolo di Coloza, principe della villa di Masfa; lui la edificò, e coprilla, e fece le sue porte e le chiavature e le stanghe, e il muro della piscina di Siloe nell'orto del re, e persino alli gradi (del re) che discendono della città di David.
16 After him Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the sepulchres of David, to the artificial pool, and to the house of the mighty men.	16 E dopo lui edificò Neemia figliuolo di Azboc principe della metà della contrada di Betsur, persino contro allo sepolcro di David, e insino alla piscina la quale è uno magno e superbo edificio, e persino alla casa de' forti.
17 After him the Levites repaired: Rehum the son of Bani; next to him Hashabiah, ruler of half the district of Keilah, repaired for his district.	17 E dopo lui edificorono i Leviti, (e dopo lui) Reum figliuolo di Benni; e dopo lui edificò Asebia principe della metà della contrada di Ceila nella contrada sua.
18 After him their brethren repaired: Bavvai the son of Henadad, ruler of half the district of Keilah;	18 E dopo lui edificorono li fratelli suoi, Bavai figliuolo di Enadad, principe della metà (della contrada) di Ceila.
19 next to him Ezer the son of Jeshua, ruler of Mizpah, repaired another section opposite the ascent to the armory at the Angle.	19 Ed edificò appo lui Azer figliuolo di Iosue principe di Masfa, la misura seconda, verso il salimento dell' angolo fermissimo (della città)..
20 After him Baruch the son of Zabbai repaired another section from the Angle to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.	20 Dopo lui edificò nel monte Baruc figliuolo di Zacai la misura seconda (verso) dall' angolo persino alla porta della casa di Eliasib, lo grande sacerdote.
21 After him Meremoth the son of Uriah, son of Hakkoz repaired another section from the door of the house of Eliashib to the end of the house of Eliashib.	21 Dopo lui edificò Merimut figliuolo di Uria figliuolo di Accus la seconda misura, dalla porta [della casa] di Eliasib persino che si estendesse la casa di Eliasib.
22 After him the priests, the men of the Plain, repaired.	22 E dopo lui edificorono li sacerdoti, uomini de' piani del Giordano.
23 After them Benjamin and Hasshub repaired opposite their house. After them Azariah the son of Ma-aseiah, son of Ananiah repaired beside his own house.	23 Dopo lui edificò Beniamin e Asub contro alla casa sua; dopo lui edificoe Azaria figliuolo di Maasta figliuolo di Anania contro alla casa sua.
24 After him Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another section, from the house of Azariah to the Angle	24 Dopo lui edificò Bennui figliuolo di Enadad la seconda misura, dalla casa di Azaria persino al descenso, insino all' angolo.

27 After him the Tekoites repaired another section opposite the great projecting tower as far as the wall of Ophel.	27 E dopo lui edificorono i Teuceni la seconda misura della regione, della torre grande e alta persino al muro del tempio.
28 Above the Horse Gate the priests repaired, each one opposite his own house.	28 Dalla parte di sopra dalla porta de' cavalli edificorono i sacerdoti, ciascuno contro alla casa sua.
29 After them Zadok the son of Immer repaired opposite his own house. After him Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the East Gate, repaired.	29 Dopo loro edificò Sedoc figliuolo di Emmer contro alla casa sua; e dopo lui edificò Semaia figliuolo di Sechenia, guardiano della porta orientale.
30 After him Hananiah the son of Shelemiah and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph repaired another section. After him Meshullam the son of Berechiah repaired opposite his chamber.	30 Dopo lui edificò Anania figliuolo di Selemia, e Anun figliuolo di Selef sesto, la seconda misura; dopo lui edificò Mosollam figliuolo di Barachia, contro il suo gazofilacio; dopo lui edificò Melchia figliuolo dell' orefice persino alla casa de' Natinei, e di quelli che vendeano le scuta contro alla porta giudiciale, e insino al cenacolo dell' angolo.
31 After him Malchijah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.	31 E fra il cenacolo dell' angolo alla porta degli animali edificorono gli orefici e li mercatanti.
32 And between the upper chamber of the corner and the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and the merchants repaired.
