1 Chronicles 23

1 When David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.	1 και δαυιδ πρεσβυτης και πληρης ημερων και εβασιλευσεν σαλωμων τον υιον αυτου αντ' αυτου επι ισραηλ
2 David assembled all the leaders of Israel and the priests and the Levites.	2 και συνηγαγεν τους παντας αρχοντας ισραηλ και τους ιερεις και τους λευιτας
3 The Levites, thirty years old and upward, were numbered, and the total was thirty-eight thousand men.	3 και ηριθμηθησαν οι λευιται απο τριακονταετους και επανω και εγενετο ο αριθμος αυτων κατα κεφαλην αυτων εις ανδρας τριακοντα και οκτω χιλιαδας
4 "Twenty-four thousand of these," David said, "shall have charge of the work in the house of the LORD, six thousand shall be officers and judges,	4 απο τουτων εργοδιωκται επι τα εργα οικου κυριου εικοσι τεσσαρες χιλιαδες και γραμματεις και κριται εξακισχιλιοι
5 four thousand gatekeepers, and four thousand shall offer praises to the LORD with the instruments which I have made for praise."	5 και τεσσαρες χιλιαδες πυλωροι και τεσσαρες χιλιαδες αινουντες τω κυριω εν τοις οργανοις οις εποιησεν του αινειν τω κυριω
6 And David organized them in divisions corresponding to the sons of Levi: Gershom, Kohath, and Merari.	6 και διειλεν αυτους δαυιδ εφημεριας τοις υιοις λευι τω γεδσων κααθ μεραρι
7 The sons of Gershom were Ladan and Shime-i.	7 και τω παροσωμ τω εδαν και τω σεμει
8 The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the chief, and Zetham, and Joel, three.	8 υιοι τω εδαν ο αρχων ιιηλ και ζεθομ και ιωηλ τρεις
9 The sons of Shime-i: Shelomoth, Hazi-el, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers' houses of Ladan.	9 υιοι σεμει σαλωμιθ και ιιηλ και αιδαν τρεις ουτοι αρχοντες των πατριων τω εδαν
10 And the sons of Shime-i: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shime-i.	10 και τοις υιοις σεμει ιεθ και ζιζα και ιωας και βερια ουτοι υιοι σεμει τεσσαρες
11 Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons, therefore they became a father's house in one reckoning.	11 και ην ιεθ ο αρχων και ζιζα ο δευτερος και ιωας και βερια ουκ επληθυναν υιους και εγενοντο εις οικον πατριας εις επισκεψιν μιαν
12 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four.	12 υιοι κααθ αμβραμ ισσααρ χεβρων οζιηλ τεσσαρες
13 The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron was set apart to consecrate the most holy things, that he and his sons for ever should burn incense before the LORD, and minister to him and pronounce blessings in his name for ever.	13 υιοι αμβραμ ααρων και μωυσης και διεσταλη ααρων του αγιασθηναι αγια αγιων αυτος και οι υιοι αυτου εως αιωνος του θυμιαν εναντιον του κυριου λειτουργειν και επευχεσθαι επι τω ονοματι αυτου εως αιωνος
14 But the sons of Moses the man of God were named among the tribe of Levi.	14 και μωυσης ανθρωπος του θεου υιοι αυτου εκληθησαν εις φυλην του λευι
15 The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.	15 υιοι μωυση γηρσαμ και ελιεζερ
16 The sons of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.	16 υιοι γηρσαμ σουβαηλ ο αρχων
17 The sons of Eliezer: Rehabiah the chief; Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.	17 και ησαν υιοι τω ελιεζερ ρααβια ο αρχων και ουκ ησαν τω ελιεζερ υιοι ετεροι και υιοι ρααβια ηυξηθησαν εις υψος
18 The sons of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.	18 υιοι ισσααρ σαλωμωθ ο αρχων
19 The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.	19 υιοι χεβρων ιδουδ ο αρχων αμαδια ο δευτερος οζιηλ ο τριτος ικεμιας ο τεταρτος
20 The sons of Uzziel: Micah the chief and Isshiah the second.	20 υιοι οζιηλ μιχας ο αρχων και ισια ο δευτερος
21 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.	21 υιοι μεραρι μοολι και μουσι υιοι μοολι ελεαζαρ και κις
22 Eleazar died having no sons, but only daughters; their kinsmen, the sons of Kish, married them.	22 και απεθανεν ελεαζαρ και ουκ ησαν αυτω υιοι αλλ' η θυγατερες και ελαβον αυτας υιοι κις αδελφοι αυτων
23 The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth, three.	23 υιοι μουσι μοολι και εδερ και ιαριμωθ τρεις
24 These were the sons of Levi by their fathers' houses, the heads of fathers' houses as they were registered according to the number of the names of the individuals from twenty years old and upward who were to do the work for the service of the house of the LORD.	24 ουτοι υιοι λευι κατ' οικους πατριων αυτων αρχοντες των πατριων αυτων κατα την επισκεψιν αυτων κατα τον αριθμον ονοματων αυτων κατα κεφαλην αυτων ποιουντες τα εργα λειτουργιας οικου κυριου απο εικοσαετους και επανω
25 For David said, "The LORD, the God of Israel, has given peace to his people; and he dwells in Jerusalem for ever.	25 οτι ειπεν δαυιδ κατεπαυσεν κυριος ο θεος ισραηλ τω λαω αυτου και κατεσκηνωσεν εν ιερουσαλημ εως αιωνος
26 And so the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle or any of the things for its service"--	26 και οι λευιται ουκ ησαν αιροντες την σκηνην και τα παντα σκευη αυτης εις την λειτουργιαν αυτης
27 for by the last words of David these were the number of the Levites from twenty years old and upward--	27 οτι εν τοις λογοις δαυιδ τοις εσχατοις εστιν ο αριθμος υιων λευι απο εικοσαετους και επανω
28 "but their duty shall be to assist the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the LORD, having the care of the courts and the chambers, the cleansing of all that is holy, and any work for the service of the house of God;	28 οτι εστησεν αυτους επι χειρα ααρων του λειτουργειν εν οικω κυριου επι τας αυλας και επι τα παστοφορια και επι τον καθαρισμον των παντων αγιων και επι τα εργα λειτουργιας οικου του θεου
29 to assist also with the showbread, the flour for the cereal offering, the wafers of unleavened bread, the baked offering, the offering mixed with oil, and all measures of quantity or size.	29 εις τους αρτους της προθεσεως εις την σεμιδαλιν της θυσιας και εις τα λαγανα τα αζυμα και εις τηγανον και εις την πεφυραμενην και εις παν μετρον
30 And they shall stand every morning, thanking and praising the LORD, and likewise at evening,	30 και του στηναι πρωι του αινειν εξομολογεισθαι τω κυριω και ουτως το εσπερας
31 and whenever burnt offerings are offered to the LORD on sabbaths, new moons, and feast days, according to the number required of them, continually before the LORD.	31 και επι παντων των αναφερομενων ολοκαυτωματων τω κυριω εν τοις σαββατοις και εν ταις νεομηνιαις και εν ταις εορταις κατα αριθμον κατα την κρισιν επ' αυτοις δια παντος τω κυριω
32 Thus they shall keep charge of the tent of meeting and the sanctuary, and shall attend the sons of Aaron, their brethren, for the service of the house of the LORD."	32 και φυλαξουσιν τας φυλακας σκηνης του μαρτυριου και τας φυλακας υιων ααρων αδελφων αυτων του λειτουργειν εν οικω κυριου
