1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon was under her feet, and on her head was a crown of twelve stars.	1 Depois apareceu no céu um grande sinal: uma Mulher vestida de sol, com a lua debaixo de seus pés, e uma coroa de doze estrelas sobre a sua cabeça.
2 And being with child, she cried out while giving birth, and she was suffering in order to give birth.	2 Ela está grávida, e clama com dores, atormentada para dar a luz.
3 And another sign was seen in heaven. And behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems.	3 Foi visto ainda um outro sinal no céu: era um grande Dragão, cor de fogo, que tinha sete cabeças e dez pontas, e nas suas cabeças sete diademas.
4 And his tail drew down a third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman, who was about to give birth, so that, when she had brought forth, he might devour her son.	4 A sua cauda arrasta a terça parte das estrelas do céu, e precipitou-as na terra. Depois o Dragão parou diante da Mulher, que estava para dar à luz, a fim de devorar o seu filho, logo que ela o tivesse dado à luz.
5 And she brought forth a male child, who was soon to rule all the nations with an iron rod. And her son was taken up to God and to his throne.	5 Ela deu à luz um filho varão, que deve reger todas as gentes com vara de ferro. E o seu filho foi arrebatado para Deus e para o seu trono.
6 And the woman fled into solitude, where a place was being held ready by God, so that they might pasture her in that place for one thousand two hundred and sixty days.	6 A Mulher fugiu para o deserto, onde tinha um retiro que Deus lhe havia preparado, para aí a sustentarem durante mil e duzentos e sessenta dias.
7 And there was a great battle in heaven. Michael and his Angels were battling with the dragon, and the dragon was fighting, and so were his angels.	7 Houve no céu uma batalha: Miguel e os seus anjos pelejavam contra o Dragão, e o Dragão com os seus anjos pelejava contra ele;
8 But they did not prevail, and a place for them was no longer found in heaven.	8 porém estes não prevaleceram, nem o seu lugar se encontrou mais no céu.
9 And he was thrown out, that great dragon, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, who seduces the whole world. And he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.	9 E foi precipitado o grande Dragão, a antiga Serpente, que se chama Demônio e Satanás, que seduz todo o mundo, foi precipitado na terra, e foram precipitados com ele os seus anjos.
10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying: “Now have arrived salvation and virtue and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, he who accused them before our God day and night.	10 E ouvi uma grande voz no céu, que dizia: "Agora foi estabelecida a salvação, a força, o reino do nosso Deus e o poder do seu Cristo, porque foi precipitado (do céu) o acusador de nossos irmãos, que os acusava de dia e de noite diante do nosso Deus.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of his testimony. And they loved not their own lives, even unto death.	11 Porém eles venceram-no pelo (mérito do) sangue do Cordeiro e pela palavra do seu testemunho, e desprezaram a sua vida, até morrer (por Cristo).
12 Because of this, rejoice, O heavens, and all who dwell within it. Woe to the earth and to the sea! For the devil has descended to you, holding great anger, knowing that he has little time.”	12 Por isso, ó céus, alegrai-vos, e vós os que habitais neles. Ai da terra e do mar, porque o Demônio desceu a vós com grande ira, sabendo que lhe resta pouco tempo (para perder almas)."
13 And after the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who brought forth the male child.	13 Quando o Dragão se viu precipitado na terra, perseguiu a Mulher que tinha dado à luz o filho varão,
14 And the two wings of a great eagle were given to the woman, so that she might fly away, into the desert, to her place, where she is being nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.	14 mas foram dadas à Mulher duas asas de uma grande águia, a fim de voar para o deserto, ao lugar do seu retiro, onde é sustentada por um tempo, por (dois) tempos e por metade de um tempo, fora da presença da Serpente.
15 And the serpent sent out from his mouth, after the woman, water like a river, so that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.	15 Então a Serpente lançou da sua boca, atrás da Mulher, água (de perseguições) como um rio, para fazer que ela fosse arrebatada pela corrente.
16 But the earth assisted the woman. And the earth opened her mouth and absorbed the river, which the dragon sent out from his mouth.	16 Porém a terra ajudou a Mulher: abriu a sua boca e enguliu o rio que o Dragão tinha vomitado da sua boca.
17 And the dragon was angry at the woman. And so he went away to do battle with the remainder of her offspring, those who keep the commandments of God and who hold to the testimony of Jesus Christ.	17 O Dragão irou-se contra a Mulher e foi fazer guerra aos outros seus descendentes, que guardam os mandamentos de Deus e retêm a confissão de Jesus Cristo.
18 And he stood upon the sand of the sea.	18 E postou-se sobre a areia do mar.
