1 Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called as an Apostle, separated for the Gospel of God,	1 Paolo, servo di Gesù Cristo, chiamato Apostolo, segregato pel Vangelo di Dio,
2 which he had promised beforehand, through his Prophets, in the Holy Scriptures,	2 Il qual (Vangelo) aveva egli anticipatamente promesso per mezzo de' suoi profeti nelle sante scritture,
3 about his Son, who was made for him from the offspring of David according to the flesh,	3 Risguardante il Figliuol suo (fatto a lui del seme di Davidde secondo la carne,
4 the Son of God, who was predestined in virtue according to the Spirit of sanctification from the resurrection of the dead, our Lord Jesus Christ,	4 Predestinato Figliuolo di Dio per (propria) virtù secondo lo spirito di santificazione per la risurrezione da morte) Gesù Cristo Signor nostro:
5 through whom we have received grace and Apostleship, for the sake of his name, for the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles,	5 Per cui ricevuto abbiamo la grazia e l'Apostolato presso tutte le genti affinchè alla fede nel nome di lui ubbidiscano,
6 from whom you also have been called by Jesus Christ:	6 Tra le quali siete anche voi chiamati di Gesù Cristo:
7 To all who are at Rome, the beloved of God, called as saints. Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.	7 A tutti que' che sono in Roma, diletti di Dio, chiamati santi: grazia a voi, e pace da Dio padre nostro, e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.
8 Certainly, I give thanks to my God, through Jesus Christ, first for all of you, because your faith is being announced throughout the entire world.	8 E primieramente grazie rendo al mio Dio per Gesù Cristo a riguardo di tutti voi: perché per la vostra fede vien celebrata pel mondo tutto.
9 For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit by the Gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I have kept a remembrance of you	9 Imperocché è a me testimone Dio cui in servo col mio spirito in evangelizzando il suo figliuolo, come di continuo fo memoria di voi
10 always in my prayers, pleading that in some way, at some time, I may have a prosperous journey, within the will of God, to come to you.	10 Sempre nelle mie orazioni, chiedendo, che, se mai finalmente una volta mi sia concesso nella volontà di Dio un felice viaggio a voi io ne venga.
11 For I long to see you, so that I may impart to you a certain spiritual grace to strengthen you,	11 Conciossiaché bramo di vedervi, affin di comunicare a voi qualche parte di grazia spirituale per vostro conforto:
12 specifically, to be consoled together with you through that which is mutual: your faith and mine.	12 Viene a dire, per consolarmi insieme con voi per la scambievole fede e vostra, e mia.
13 But I want you to know, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you, (though I have been hindered even to the present time) so that I might obtain some fruit among you also, just as also among the other Gentiles.	13 Or io non voglio, che siavi ignoto, o fratelli, come feci spesso risoluzione di venir da voi per far qualche frutto anche tra voi, come tra le altre nazioni, ma sono stato fino a quest'ora impedito.
14 To the Greeks and to the uncivilized, to the wise and to the foolish, I am in debt.	14 Sono debitore ai Greci, e ai Barbari, ai saggi, e agli stolti:
15 So within me there is a prompting to evangelize to you also who are at Rome.	15 Cosi (quanto a me) sono pronto ad annunciare il Vangelo anche a voi che siete in Roma.
16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation for all believers, the Jew first, and the Greek.	16 Imperocché io non mi vergogno del Vangelo. Conciossiachè egli è virtù di Dio per dar salute ad ogni credente, prima al Giudeo, e poi al Greco.
17 For the justice of God is revealed within it, by faith unto faith, just as it was written: “For the just one lives by faith.”	17 Imperocché la giustizia di Dio per esso si manifesta di fede in fede: conforme sta scritto: il giusto vive di fede.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven over every impiety and injustice among those men who fend off the truth of God with injustice.	18 Imperocché si manifesta l'ira di Dio dal cielo contro ogni empietà, e in giustizia degli uomini, come quegli, i quali la verità di Dio ritengono nell'ingiustizia:
19 For what is known about God is manifest in them. For God has manifested it to them.	19 Conciossiachè quello, che di Dio può conoscersi, è in essi manifesto. Dappoiché Dio lo ha ad essi manifestato.
20 For unseen things about him have been made conspicuous, since the creation of the world, being understood by the things that were made; likewise his everlasting virtue and divinity, so much so that they have no excuse.	20 Imperocché le invisibili cose di lui, dopo creato il mondo per le cose fatte comprendendosi, si veggono: anche l'eterna potenza, e il divino essere di lui, onde siano inescusabili.
21 For although they had known God, they did not glorify God, nor give thanks. Instead, they became weakened in their thoughts, and their foolish heart was obscured.	21 Perché avendo conosciuto Dio, noi glorificarono come Dio né a lui grazie rendettero: ma infatuirono ne' loro pensamenti, e si ottenebrò lo stolto lor cuore:
22 For, while proclaiming themselves to be wise, they became foolish.	22 Imperocché dicendo di esser saggi, diventarono stolti.
23 And they exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of flying things, and of four-legged beasts, and of serpents.	23 E cangiarono la gloria dell'incorruttibile Dio per la figura di un simulacro di uomo corruttibile, e di uccelli, e di quadrupedi, e di serpenti.
24 For this reason, God handed them over to the desires of their own heart for impurity, so that they afflicted their own bodies with indignities among themselves.	24 Per la qual cosa abbandonagli Iddio ai desiderj de' loro cuore, alla immondezza: talmente che disonorassero in se stessi i corpi loro:
25 And they exchanged the truth of God for a lie. And they worshipped and served the creature, rather than the Creator, who is blessed for all eternity. Amen.	25 Eglino, che cambiarono la verità di Dio per la menzogna: e rendettero onore, e servirono alla creatura piuttosto, che al Creatore, il quale è bene detto ne' secoli. Così sia.
26 Because of this, God handed them over to shameful passions. For example, their females have exchanged the natural use of the body for a use which is against nature.	26 Per questo gli diede Dio in balìa di ignominiose passioni. Imperocché le stesse loro donne l'ordine posto dalla natura cambiarono in disordine contrario alla natura.
27 And similarly, the males also, abandoning the natural use of females, have burned in their desires for one another: males doing with males what is disgraceful, and receiving within themselves the recompense that necessarily results from their error.	27 E gli uomini similmente, lasciata la natural unione della donna, ne lor desiderj arsero scambievolmente, facendo cose obbrobriose l'un verso l'altro, e riportando in se stessi la condegna mercede del proprio errore.
28 And since they did not prove to have God by knowledge, God handed them over to a morally depraved way of thinking, so that they might do those things which are not fitting:	28 E siccome non si curarono di riconoscer Dio: abbandonogli Iddio a un reprobo senso, onde facciano cosa non convenevoli,
29 having been completely filled with all iniquity, malice, fornication, avarice, wickedness; full of envy, murder, contention, deceit, malice, gossiping;	29 Ricolmi di ogni iniquità, di malizia, di fornicazione, di avarizia, di malvagità, pieni di invidia, di omicidio, di discordia, di frode, di malignità, susurroni,
30 slanderous, hateful toward God, abusive, arrogant, self-exalting, devisers of evil, disobedient to parents,	30 Detrattori, nemici di Dio, oltraggiatori, superbi, millantatori, inventori di male cose, disubbidienti ai genitori,
31 foolish, disorderly; without affection, without fidelity, without mercy.	31 Stolti, disordinati, senza amore, senza legge, senza compassione.
32 And these, though they had known the justice of God, did not understand that those who act in such a manner are deserving of death, and not only those who do these things, but also those who consent to what is done.	32 I quali conosciuta avendo la gustizia di Dio, non intesero, come chi fa tali cose, è degno di morte: né solamente chi le fa, ma anche chi approva coloro, che le fanno.
