1 Now Peter and John went up to the temple at the ninth hour of prayer.	1 Pedro y Juan subían al Templo para la oración de la hora nona.
2 And a certain man, who was lame from his mother’s womb, was being carried in. They would lay him every day at the gate of the temple, which is called the Beautiful, so that he might request alms from those entering into the temple.	2 Había un hombre, tullido desde su nacimiento, al que llevaban y ponían todos los días junto a la puerta del Templo llamada Hermosa para que pidiera limosna a los que entraban en el Templo.
3 And this man, when he had seen Peter and John beginning to enter the temple, was begging, so that he might receive alms.	3 Este, al ver a Pedro y a Juan que iban a entrar en el Templo, les pidió una limosna.
4 Then Peter and John, gazing at him, said, “Look at us.”	4 Pedro fijó en él la mirada juntamente con Juan, y le dijo: «Míranos».
5 And he looked intently at them, hoping that he might receive something from them.	5 El les miraba con fijeza esperando recibir algo de ellos.
6 But Peter said: “Silver and gold is not mine. But what I have, I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, rise up and walk.”	6 Pedro le dijo: «No tengo plata ni oro; pero lo que tengo, te doy: en nombre de Jesucristo, el Nazoreo, ponte a andar».
7 And taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up. And immediately his legs and feet were strengthened.	7 Y tomándole de la mano derecha le levantó. Al instante cobraron fuerza sus pies y tobillos,
8 And leaping up, he stood and walked around. And he entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.	8 y de un salto se puso en pie y andaba. Entró con ellos en el Templo andando, saltando y alabando a Dios.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.	9 Todo el pueblo le vio cómo andaba y alababa a Dios;
10 And they recognized him, that he was the same one who was sitting for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. And they were filled with awe and amazement at what had happened to him.	10 le reconocían, pues él era el que pedía limosma sentado junto a la puerta Hermosa del Templo. Y se quedaron llenos de estupor y asombro por lo que había sucedido.
11 Then, as he held on to Peter and John, all the people ran to them at the portico, which is called Solomon’s, in astonishment.	11 Como él no soltaba a Pedro y a Juan, todo el pueblo, presa de estupor, corrió donde ellos al pórtico llamado de Salomón.
12 But Peter, seeing this, responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this? Or why do you stare at us, as if it were by our own strength or power that we caused this man to walk?	12 Pedro, al ver esto, se dirigió al pueblo: «Israelitas, ¿por qué os admiráis de esto, o por qué nos miráis fijamente, como si por nuestro poder o piedad hubiéramos hecho caminar a éste?
13 The God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus, whom you, indeed, handed over and denied before the face of Pilate, when he was giving judgment to release him.	13 El Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob, el Dios de nuestros padres, ha glorificado a su siervo Jesús, a quien vosotros entregasteis y de quien renegasteis ante Pilato, cuando éste estaba resuelto a ponerle en libertad.
14 Then you denied the Holy and Just One, and petitioned for a murderous man to be given to you.	14 Vosotros renegasteis del Santo y del Justo, y pedisteis que se os hiciera gracia de un asesino,
15 Truly, it was the Author of Life whom you put to death, whom God raised from the dead, to whom we are witnesses.	15 y matasteis al Jefe que lleva a la Vida. Pero Dios le resucitó de entre los muertos, y nosotros somos testigos de ello.
16 And by faith in his name, this man, whom you have seen and known, has confirmed his name. And faith through him has given this man complete health in the sight of you all.	16 Y por la fe en su nombre, este mismo nombre ha restablecido a éste que vosotros veis y conocéis; es, pues, la fe dada por su medio la que le ha restablecido totalmente ante todos vosotros.
17 And now, brothers, I know that you did this through ignorance, just as your leaders also did.	17 «Ya sé yo, hermanos, que obrasteis por ignorancia, lo mismo que vuestros jefes.
18 But in this way God has fulfilled the things that he announced beforehand through the mouth of all the Prophets: that his Christ would suffer.	18 Pero Dios dio cumplimiento de este modo a lo que había anunciado por boca de todos los profetas: que su Cristo padecería.
19 Therefore, repent and be converted, so that your sins may be wiped away.	19 Arrepentíos, pues, y convertíos, para que vuestros pecados sean borrados,
20 And then, when the time of consolation will have arrived from the presence of the Lord, he will send the One who was foretold to you, Jesus Christ,	20 a fin de que del Señor venga el tiempo de la consolación y envíe al Cristo que os había sido destinado, a Jesús,
21 whom heaven certainly must take up, until the time of the restoration of all things, which God has spoken of by the mouth of his holy prophets, from ages past.	21 a quien debe retener el cielo hasta el tiempo de la restauración universal, de que Dios habló por boca de sus santos profetas.
22 Indeed, Moses said: ‘For the Lord your God shall raise up a Prophet for you from your brothers, one like me; the same shall you listen to according to everything whatsoever that he shall speak to you.	22 Moisés efectivamente dijo: El Señor Dios os suscitará un profeta como yo de entre vuestros hermanos; escuchadle todo cuanto os diga.
23 And this shall be: every soul who will not listen to that Prophet shall be exterminated from the people.’	23 Todo el que no escuche a ese profeta, sea exterminado del pueblo.
24 And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and thereafter, have announced these days.	24 Y todos los profetas que desde Samuel y sus sucesores han hablado, anunciaron también estos días.
25 You are sons of the prophets and of the testament which God has appointed for our fathers, saying to Abraham: ‘And by your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’	25 «Vosotros sois los hijos de los profetas y de la alianza que Dios estableció con vuestros padres al decir a Abraham: En tu descendencia serán bendecidas todas las familias de la tierra.
26 God raised up his Son and sent him first to you, to bless you, so that each one may turn himself away from his wickedness.”	26 Para vosotros en primer lugar ha resucitado Dios a su Siervo y le ha enviado para bendeciros, apartándoos a cada uno de vuestras iniquidades».
