1 Now on the morning of the Sabbath, when it began to grow light on the first Sabbath, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the sepulcher.	1 Po suboti, u osvit prvoga dana u tjednu, dođe Marija Magdalena i druga Marija pogledati grob.
2 And behold, a great earthquake occurred. For an Angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and as he approached, he rolled back the stone and sat down on it.	2 I gle, nastade žestok potres jer anđeo Gospodnji siđe s neba, pristupi, otkotrlja kamen i sjede na nj.
3 Now his appearance was like lightning, and his vestment was like snow.	3 Lice mu bijaše kao munja, a odjeća bijela kao snijeg.
4 Then, out of fear of him, the guards were terrified, and they became like dead men.	4 Od straha pred njim zadrhtaše stražari i obamriješe.
5 Then the Angel responded by saying to the women: “Do not be afraid. For I know that you are seeking Jesus, who was crucified.	5 A anđeo progovori ženama: »Vi se ne bojte! Ta znam: Isusa Raspetoga tražite!
6 He is not here. For he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where the Lord was placed.	6 Nije ovdje! Uskrsnu kako reče. Hajde, vidite mjesto gdje je ležao
7 And then, go quickly, and tell his disciples that he has risen. And behold, he will precede you to Galilee. There you shall see him. Lo, I have told you beforehand.”	7 pa pođite žurno i javite njegovim učenicima da uskrsnu od mrtvih. I evo, ide pred vama u Galileju. Ondje ćete ga vidjeti. Evo, rekoh vam.«
8 And they went out of the tomb quickly, with fear and in great joy, running to announce it to his disciples.	8 One otiđoše žurno s groba te sa strahom i velikom radošću otrčaše javiti njegovim učenicima.
9 And behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Hail.” But they drew near and took hold of his feet, and they adored him.	9 Kad eto im Isusa u susret! Reče im: »Zdravo!« One polete k njemu, obujme mu noge i ničice mu se poklone.
10 Then Jesus said to them: “Do not be afraid. Go, announce it to my brothers, so that they may go to Galilee. There they shall see me.”	10 Tada im Isus reče: »Ne bojte se! Idite, javite mojoj braći da pođu u Galileju! Ondje će me vidjeti!«
11 And when they had departed, behold, some of the guards went into the city, and they reported to the leaders of the priests all that had happened.	11 Dok su one odlazile, gle, neki od straže dođoše u grad i javiše glavarima svećeničkim sve što se dogodilo.
12 And gathering together with the elders, having taken counsel, they gave an abundant sum of money to the soldiers,	12 Oni se sabraše sa starješinama na vijećanje, uzeše mnogo novaca i dadoše vojnicima
13 saying: “Say that his disciples arrived at night and stole him away, while we were sleeping.	13 govoreći: »Recite: ‘Noću, dok smo mi spavali, dođoše njegovi učenici i ukradoše ga.’
14 And if the procurator hears about this, we will persuade him, and we will protect you.”	14 Ako to dočuje upravitelj, mi ćemo ga uvjeriti i sve učiniti da vi budete bez brige.«
15 Then, having accepted the money, they did as they were instructed. And this word has been spread among the Jews, even to this day.	15 Oni uzeše novac i učiniše kako bijahu poučeni. I razglasilo se to među Židovima – sve do danas.
16 Now the eleven disciples went on to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had appointed them.	16 Jedanaestorica pođoše u Galileju na goru kamo im je naredio Isus.
17 And, seeing him, they worshipped him, but certain ones doubted.	17 Kad ga ugledaše, padoše ničice preda nj. A neki posumnjaše.
18 And Jesus, drawing near, spoke to them, saying: “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.	18 Isus im pristupi i prozbori: »Dana mi je sva vlast na nebu i na zemlji!
19 Therefore, go forth and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,	19 Pođite dakle i učinite mojim učenicima sve narode krsteći ih u ime Oca i Sina i Duha Svetoga
20 teaching them to observe all that I have ever commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, even to the consummation of the age.”	20 i učeći ih čuvati sve što sam vam zapovjedio!« »I evo, ja sam s vama u sve dane – do svršetka svijeta.«
