Ezekiel 13

1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:	1 Foi-me dirigida a palavra do Senhor, nestes termos;
2 “Son of man, prophesy to the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and you shall say to those who prophesy from their own heart: Hear the word of the Lord:	2 Filho de homem, profetiza contra os (falsos) profetas de Israel, que se metem a profetizar, dize a esses que profetizam por sua cabeça: Ouvi a palavra do Senhor:
3 Thus says the Lord God: Woe to the foolish prophets, who are following their own spirit, and who see nothing.	3 Assim fala o Senhor Deus: Ai dos profetas insensatos, que seguem o seu próprio espírito e não vêem nada!
4 Your prophets, O Israel, were like foxes in the deserts.	4 Os teus profetas, ó Israel, são como raposas nos escombros.
5 You have not gone up against the adversary, and you have not established a wall for the house of Israel, so as to stand in battle on the day of the Lord.	5 Vós não subistes às brechas, não construístes um muro em defesa da casa de Israel, para resistir no combate, no dia do Senhor.
6 They see emptiness, and they foretell falsehoods, saying, ‘The Lord says,’ though the Lord has not sent them. And they continued to affirm what they said.	6 Têm visões inanes, profetizam a mentira, dizendo: Oráculo do Senhor sendo certo que o Senhor não os enviou: apesar disso, ainda esperam a realização da sua palavra.
7 Have you not seen a futile vision and spoken a lying divination? And yet you say, ‘The Lord says,’ though I have not spoken.	7 Porventura não são vãs as visões que tendes mentirosos os oráculos que proferis, quando dizeis: Assim falou o Senhor sendo certo que eu não falei?
8 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Since you have spoken emptiness and have seen falsehoods, therefore: behold, I am against you, says the Lord God.	8 Por cuja causa assim fala o Senhor Deus: Porque dizeis coisas vãs e tendes visões mentirosas, por isso eis que venho contra vós, diz o Senhor Deus.
9 And my hand will be over the prophets who are seeing emptiness and divining lies. They shall not be in the council of my people, and they shall not be written in the writing of the house of Israel. Neither shall they enter into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God.	9 A minha mão descarregará sobre os profetas que têm visões vãs e que profetizam a mentira: não serão admitidos na assembleia do meu povo. não serão inscritos no censo da casa de Israel, não entrarão na terra de Israel e vós sabereis que eu sou o Senhor Deus.
10 For they have deceived my people, saying, ‘Peace,’ and there is no peace. And they have built a wall, but they have covered it in clay without straw.	10 Porque eles enganaram o meu povo. dizendo: Paz! e paz não havia. Quando o meu povo levanta uma parede, eles cobrem-na de barro.
11 Say to those who spread mortar without mixing, that it will fall apart. For there will be an inundating rain, and I will cause full-grown hailstones to rush down from above, and a windstorm to dissipate it.	11 Dize (pois) a esses, que rebocam a parede com barro, que ela cairá; porque virá uma chuva de inundação, e farei cair do céu pedras grandes, e (enviarei) um vento tempestuoso que tudo destruirá.
12 So then, behold: when the wall has fallen, will it not be said to you: ‘Where is the mortar with which you covered it?’	12 E, quando a muralha tiver caído, não vos será dito (por zombaria): Onde está o reboco que fizestes?
13 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: And I will cause a violent wind to burst forth in my indignation, and there will be an inundating rain in my fury, and great hailstones in wrath, to consume.	13 Por cuja causa isto diz o Senhor Deus: Farei sair impetuosamente um vento de tempestade na minha indignação, e sobrevirá uma chuva que tudo inunde no meu furor, e arrojarei pedras enormes com ira para total destruição.
14 And I will destroy the wall that you have covered without tempering it. And I will level it to the ground, and its foundation will be revealed. And it will fall and be consumed in its midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	14 Destruirei a muralha que vós rebocastes com o barro, arrasá-la-ei, descobrir-se-ão os seus fundamentos, e ela cairá; e o que a rebocou será destruído com ela. Assim sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.
15 And I will fulfill my indignation against the wall, and against those who cover it without mixing the mortar, and I will say to you: The wall is no more, and those who covered it are no more:	15 E satisfarei a minha indignação contra a muralha e contra aqueles que a rebocaram com barro, e vos direi então: Já não existe a muralha, nem existem os que a rebocaram,
16 the prophets of Israel, who prophesy to Jerusalem, and who see visions of peace for her when there is no peace, says the Lord God.	16 esses profetas de Israel que profetizavam sobre Jerusalém, e que tinham acerca dela visões de paz, quando tal paz não havia, diz o Senhor Deus.
17 And as for you, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy from their own heart. And prophesy about them,	17 Tu, filho de homem, volta o teu rosto contra as filhas do teu povo, que se põem a profetizar por sua cabeça, e profetiza contra elas.
18 and say: Thus says the Lord God: Woe to those who sew together little pillows under every forearm, and who make little cushions for the heads of every stage of life, in order to capture souls. And when they have seized the souls of my people, they became the life of their souls.	18 dizendo-lhes: Isto diz o Senhor Deus: Ai daqueles que cosem ligaduras para todas as junturas das mãos e que fabricam véus para as cabeças das pessoas de todas as estaturas, a fim de lhes apanharem as almas! Acaso pretendeis atentar contra a vida do meu povo e poupar a vossa própria vida?
19 And they violated me among my people, for the sake of a handful of barley and a fragment of bread, so that they would kill the souls that should not die, and enliven the souls that should not live, lying to my people who believe in falsehoods.	19 Vós profanais-me diante do meu povo por um punhado de cevada e por um pedaço de pão, matando as almas que não deviam morrer, e prometendo a vida às que não deviam viver, mentindo ao meu povo, que acredita nestas mentiras.
20 Because of this, thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against your little pillows, with which you catch flying souls. And I will tear them away from your arms. And I will release the souls that you are capturing, the souls that should fly.	20 Por cuja causa isto diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que vou contra as vossas ligaduras, com que apanhais as almas como a pássaros; arrancá-las-ei dos vossos braços e deixarei fugir as almas que vós apanhastes, como a pássaros.
21 And I will tear away your little cushions. And I will free my people from your hand. And they shall no longer be a prey in your hands. And you shall know that I am the Lord.	21 Romperei os vossos véus e livrarei o meu povo do vosso poder, e eles não serão mais expostos à presa entre as vossas mãos, e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.
22 For by deception you have caused the heart of the just to grieve, whom I would not sadden. And I have strengthened the hands of the impious, so that he would not be turned back from his evil way and live.	22 Porque contristastes o coração do justo com as vossas mentiras, quando eu mesmo o não contristei, e porque fortificastes as mãos do ímpio, para que ele se não convertesse do seu mau caminho e vivesse,
23 Therefore, you shall not see emptiness, and you shall not divine divinations, any more. And I will rescue my people from your hand. And you shall know that I am the Lord.”	23 por isso não tomareis mais a ter visões vãs, nem a pronunciar oráculos, porque livrarei o meu povo das vossas mãos, e vós sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.
