1 If a soul will have sinned, and heard the voice of one testifying under oath, and he is a witness because either he has seen it himself, or he is aware of it: if he does not reveal it, he shall carry his iniquity.	1 «“Se una persona pecca perché, udita la clausola imprecatoria ed essendo testimone per aver visto o saputo, non dichiara nulla, costei sconterà il peccato.
2 The soul that will have touched anything unclean, either that which has been killed by a beast, or that which has died on its own, or any other creeping thing, and will have forgotten its uncleanness, he is guilty and has committed a transgression.	2 Se una persona tocca qualsiasi cosa impura, come il cadavere di una bestia impura, di un animale domestico impuro, di un rettile impuro, senza avvedersene, quando lo viene a sapere sarà responsabile.
3 And if he will have touched anything from the uncleanness of man, according to every kind of impurity by which he may be defiled, and having forgotten it, afterwards realizes it, he shall be guilty of committing a transgression.	3 Se una persona tocca un’impurità umana qualsiasi il cui contatto rende impuro, senza avvedersene, quando lo viene a sapere sarà responsabile.
4 The soul who swears and offers from his own lips that he would do either evil or good, and who will have bound the same with an oath and with his own words, and, having forgotten it, afterwards understands his transgression,	4 Se una persona giura, sconsideratamente, a fior di labbra, in bene o in male qualsiasi cosa un uomo possa giurare sconsideratamente, senza avvedersene, quando lo viene a sapere sarà responsabile.
5 let him do penance for his sin,	5 Chi è responsabile in uno di questi casi confesserà ciò in cui ha peccato
6 and let him offer from the flocks a female lamb or a she-goat, and the priest shall pray for him and for his sin.	6 e porterà a Jahvè quale offerta di riparazione per il peccato commesso una femmina dal bestiame minuto, pecora o capra, in sacrificio espiatorio. Il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio per purificarlo dal peccato.
7 But if he is not able to offer a beast, let him offer two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the Lord, one for sin, and the other for a holocaust.	7 Se le sue sostanze non sono sufficienti all'acquisto di un capo di bestiame minuto come offerta per il peccato di cui è responsabile, porterà a Jahvè due tortore o due colombi: uno per il sacrificio espiatorio e l’altro per l’olocausto:
8 And he shall give them to the priest, who, offering the first for sin, shall twist back its head to the little wings, so that it adheres to the neck and is not entirely broken off.	8 li porterà al sacerdote, il quale offrirà prima quello per il sacrificio espiatorio: afferrerà il collo con le unghie della mano, tirerà la testa verso la nuca ma non la staccherà.
9 And he shall sprinkle some of its blood at the side of the altar. But whatever will remain, he shall cause it to drip down to the base, because it is for sin.	9 Con il sangue della vittima espiatoria spruzzerà la parete dell’altare e il sangue rimasto sarà spremuto alla base dell’altare: è un sacrificio espiatorio.
10 Yet truly, the other he shall burn as a holocaust, just as is usually done. And the priest shall pray for him, and for his sin, and he shall be released from it.	10 Del secondo farà un olocausto secondo il rituale. Il sacerdote compirà così per lui il rito espiatorio per purificarlo dal peccato commesso e gli sarà perdonato.
11 But if his hand is unable to offer two turtledoves or two young pigeons, he shall offer, for his sin, the tenth part of an ephah of fine wheat flour. He shall not put oil in it, nor place upon it any frankincense, because it is for sin.	11 Se le sue sostanze non sono sufficienti per l’acquisto di due tortore o di due colombi, porterà come offerta per il peccato di cui è responsabile un decimo di efa di fior di farina come sacrificio espiatorio; sopra non porrà olio né vi metterà incenso poiché è un sacrificio espiatorio.
12 And he shall deliver it to the priest, who shall take a handful of it, and shall burn it upon the altar as a memorial for him who offered it,	12 La porterà al sacerdote e il sacerdote ne prenderà una manata come rievocazione, che farà salire in fumo sull’altare, sopra le vittime dell’olocausto di Jahvè: è un sacrificio espiatorio.
13 praying for him and making atonement. Yet truly, the remaining part he himself shall have as a gift.	13 Il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio a causa del peccato commesso in uno di questi casi e gli sarà perdonato. Il sacerdote avrà gli stessi diritti che ha nell'oblazione.
14 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	14 Jahvè si rivolse a Mosè:
15 If a soul, by mistake, shall have transgressed the ceremonies in those things that are sanctified to the Lord, he shall offer for his offense an immaculate ram from the flocks, such as can be bought for two shekels, according to the weight of the Sanctuary.	15 «Se qualcuno commette una frode e pecca per inavvertenza contro le cose sacre di Jahvè, porterà a Jahvè come vittima di riparazione un montone senza difetto, dal bestiame minuto, a tua stima di più sicli d’argento, in base al peso del siclo del santuario, in sacrificio di riparazione,
16 And he shall make restitution for the damage that he has brought, and he shall add a fifth part more, delivering it to the priest, who shall pray for him while offering the ram, and he shall be released from it.	16 e restituirà interamente ciò in cui peccò contro le cose sacre, con l’aggiunta di un quinto del valore e lo darà al sacerdote. Il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio con il montone del sacrificio di riparazione e gli sarà perdonato.
17 If a soul will have sinned through ignorance, and will have done one of those things which the law of the Lord prohibits, and, being guilty of sin, understands his iniquity,	17 Se qualcuno, senza saperlo, pecca contro una delle prescrizioni di Jahvè compiendo quelle azioni che non dovete compiere, sarà responsabile e sconterà la colpa;
18 he shall offer from the flocks an immaculate ram to the priest, according to the measure and estimation of the sin, who shall pray for him, because he did it unknowingly, and he shall be released from it,	18 porterà al sacerdote un montone senza difetto, dal bestiame minuto, a tua stima, in sacrificio di riparazione. Il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio, a causa della inavvertenza commessa senza saperlo, e gli sarà perdonato.
19 because by mistake he transgressed against the Lord.	19 È un sacrificio di riparazione; costui era certamente responsabile verso Jahvè»
	20 Jahvè si rivolse a Mosè:
	21 «Se qualcuno pecca e commette frode contro Jahvè, negando al suo congiunto un deposito o un pegno o una cosa rubata, oppure opprime ingiustamente il suo prossimo;
	22 o ha trovato un oggetto perduto e lo nega, o giura il falso in merito a qualsiasi azione in cui un uomo può mancare:
	23 se così pecca e diventa responsabile, restituirà la cosa rubata o estorta con violenza, la cosa trattenuta ingiustamente, il deposito che ha custodito o l’oggetto perduto che aveva trovato
	24 O qualsiasi cosa per cui ha giurato il falso, restituirà interamente con l’aggiunta di un quinto, dandolo a colui al quale appartiene nel giorno stesso in cui compie la riparazione.
	25 Come vittima di riparazione per Jahvè porterà un montone senza difetto, dal bestiame minuto, a tua stima, in sacrificio di riparazione al sacerdote;
	26 il sacerdote compirà per lui il rito espiatorio al cospetto di Jahvè e gli sarà perdonato, qualsiasi azione abbia compiuto rendendosi responsabile».
