1 The Praise of a Canticle, of David. Whoever dwells with the assistance of the Most High will abide in the protection of the God of heaven.	1 Молитва. Мойсея, чоловіка Божого. Господи, ти був нам пристановищем по всі роди.
2 He will say to the Lord, “You are my supporter and my refuge.” My God, I will hope in him.	2 Перш, ніж постали гори і народилася земля, і всесвіт, від віку й до віку ти єси Бог.
3 For he has freed me from the snare of those who go hunting, and from the harsh word.	3 Ти повертаєш людей у порох, кажучи: «Поверніться, сини людські!»
4 He will overshadow you with his shoulders, and you will hope under his wings.	4 Бо тисяча літ в очах у тебе, мов день учорашній, що минув, і мов нічна сторожа.
5 His truth will surround you with a shield. You will not be afraid: before the terror of the night,	5 Змітаєш геть їх: вони стають, мов сон уранці, мов та трава, що зеленіє.
6 before the arrow flying in the day, before the troubles that wander in the darkness, nor of invasion and the midday demon.	6 Уранці квітне й зеленіє, а ввечорі — підтята висихає.
7 A thousand will fall before your side and ten thousand before your right hand. Yet it will not draw near you.	7 Бо гинемо від гніву твого, і стривожились ми від обурення твого.
8 So then, truly, you will consider with your eyes, and you will see the retribution of sinners.	8 Поставив ти провини наші перед собою, гріхи наші таємні перед світлом обличчя твого.
9 For you, O Lord, are my hope. You have set the Most High as your refuge.	9 Усі бо наші дні никнуть від гніву твого; літа наші минають, мов зідхання.
10 Disaster will not draw near to you, and the scourge will not approach your tabernacle.	10 Дні віку нашого — сімдесят років, а як при силі — вісімдесят років; і більшість із них — то труд і марність, бо скоро линуть, і ми зникаєм.
11 For he has given his Angels charge over you, so as to preserve you in all your ways.	11 Хто знає силу гніву твого? Хто бачив твоє обурення?
12 With their hands, they will carry you, lest you hurt your foot against a stone.	12 Навчи ж нас дні наші рахувати, щоб ми дійшли до розуму доброго.
13 You will walk over the asp and the king serpent, and you will trample the lion and the dragon.	13 Повернися, Господи! — докіль? — і змилуйся над слугами твоїми.
14 Because he has hoped in me, I will free him. I will protect him because he has known my name.	14 Насити нас милістю твоєю вранці, щоб ми раділи й веселились по всі дні наші.
15 He will cry out to me, and I will heed him. I am with him in tribulation. I will rescue him, and I will glorify him.	15 Звесели нас мірою днів, за яких засмутив єси нас, мірою літ, що ми в них звиділи горе.
16 I will fill him with length of days. And I will reveal to him my salvation.	16 Хай з’явиться твоїм слугам твоє діло, і слава твоя їхнім дітям.
	17 І ласка Господа, Бога нашого, хай буде над нами, і стверди діло рук наших; стверди його — діло рук наших!
