¹ The Praise of a Canticle, of David. Whoever dwells with the assistance of the Most High will abide in the protection of the God of heaven.	¹ Молитва. Мойсея, чоловіка Божого. Господи, ти був нам пристановищем по всі роди.
² He will say to the Lord, “You are my supporter and my refuge.” My God, I will hope in him.	² Перш, ніж постали гори і народилася земля, і всесвіт, від віку й до віку ти єси Бог.
³ For he has freed me from the snare of those who go hunting, and from the harsh word.	³ Ти повертаєш людей у порох, кажучи: «Поверніться, сини людські!»
⁴ He will overshadow you with his shoulders, and you will hope under his wings.	⁴ Бо тисяча літ в очах у тебе, мов день учорашній, що минув, і мов нічна сторожа.
⁵ His truth will surround you with a shield. You will not be afraid: before the terror of the night,	⁵ Змітаєш геть їх: вони стають, мов сон уранці, мов та трава, що зеленіє.
⁶ before the arrow flying in the day, before the troubles that wander in the darkness, nor of invasion and the midday demon.	⁶ Уранці квітне й зеленіє, а ввечорі — підтята висихає.
⁷ A thousand will fall before your side and ten thousand before your right hand. Yet it will not draw near you.	⁷ Бо гинемо від гніву твого, і стривожились ми від обурення твого.
⁸ So then, truly, you will consider with your eyes, and you will see the retribution of sinners.	⁸ Поставив ти провини наші перед собою, гріхи наші таємні перед світлом обличчя твого.
⁹ For you, O Lord, are my hope. You have set the Most High as your refuge.	⁹ Усі бо наші дні никнуть від гніву твого; літа наші минають, мов зідхання.
¹⁰ Disaster will not draw near to you, and the scourge will not approach your tabernacle.	¹⁰ Дні віку нашого — сімдесят років, а як при силі — вісімдесят років; і більшість із них — то труд і марність, бо скоро линуть, і ми зникаєм.
¹¹ For he has given his Angels charge over you, so as to preserve you in all your ways.	¹¹ Хто знає силу гніву твого? Хто бачив твоє обурення?
¹² With their hands, they will carry you, lest you hurt your foot against a stone.	¹² Навчи ж нас дні наші рахувати, щоб ми дійшли до розуму доброго.
¹³ You will walk over the asp and the king serpent, and you will trample the lion and the dragon.	¹³ Повернися, Господи! — докіль? — і змилуйся над слугами твоїми.
¹⁴ Because he has hoped in me, I will free him. I will protect him because he has known my name.	¹⁴ Насити нас милістю твоєю вранці, щоб ми раділи й веселились по всі дні наші.
¹⁵ He will cry out to me, and I will heed him. I am with him in tribulation. I will rescue him, and I will glorify him.	¹⁵ Звесели нас мірою днів, за яких засмутив єси нас, мірою літ, що ми в них звиділи горе.
¹⁶ I will fill him with length of days. And I will reveal to him my salvation.	¹⁶ Хай з’явиться твоїм слугам твоє діло, і слава твоя їхнім дітям.
	¹⁷ І ласка Господа, Бога нашого, хай буде над нами, і стверди діло рук наших; стверди його — діло рук наших!
