1 The inscription of a title: of David himself. Preserve me, O Lord, because I have hoped in you.	1 Miktãm. De Davide. Guarda-me, ó Deus, porque a ti recorro,
2 I have said to the Lord: “You are my God, so you have no need of my goodness.”	2 digo ao Senhor: "Tu és o meu Senhor, fora de ti não tenho nenhum bem."
3 As for the saints, who are in his land: he has made all my desires wonderful in them.	3 Para com os santos, que estão na sua terra, quão admirável tornou todo o meu afecto!
4 Their infirmities have been multiplied; after this, they acted more quickly. I will not gather for their convocations of blood, nor will I remember their names with my lips.	4 Multiplicam as suas dores, os que seguem deuses estranhos, não libarei o sangue das suas libações, nem pronunciarei os seus nomes com os meus lábios.
5 The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup. It is you who will restore my inheritance to me.	5 O Senhor é a porção da minha herança e do meu cálice; és tu que tens na mão a minha sorte.
6 The lots have fallen upon me with clarity. And, indeed, my inheritance has been very clear to me.	6 As cordas cairam-me em lugares amenos; e comprazo-me plenamente com a minha herança.
7 I will bless the Lord, who has bestowed understanding upon me. Moreover, my temperament has also corrected me, even through the night.	7 Bendigo o Senhor porque me aconselhou, porque mesmo durante a noite, o meu coração me adverte.
8 I have made provision for the Lord always in my sight. For he is at my right hand, so that I may not be disturbed.	8 Ponho sempre o Senhor diante de mim; pois ele está à minha direita, não vacilarei.
9 Because of this, my heart has been joyful, and my tongue has exulted. Moreover, even my body will rest in hope.	9 Portanto alegra-se o meu coração e exulta de alegria a minha alma, e também o meu corpo descansará seguro,
10 For you will not abandon my soul to Hell, nor will you allow your holy one to see corruption.	10 porque não abandonarás a minha alma na morada dos mortos, não permitirás que o teu santo experimente corrupção.
11 You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy by your countenance. At your right hand are delights, even to the end.	11 Indicar-me-ás as sendas da vida (imortal), a plenitude dos gozos junto de ti, as delicias à tua direita eternamente.
