Psalms 148

1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord from the heavens. Praise him on the heights.	1 Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; give praise in the heights.
2 Praise him, all his Angels. Praise him, all his hosts.	2 Praise him, all you angels; give praise, all you hosts.
3 Praise him, sun and moon. Praise him, all stars and light.	3 Praise him, sun and moon; give praise, all shining stars.
4 Praise him, heavens of the heavens. And let all the waters that are above the heavens	4 Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens.
5 praise the name of the Lord. For he spoke, and they became. He commanded, and they were created.	5 Let them all praise the LORD'S name; for the LORD commanded and they were created,
6 He has stationed them in eternity, and for age after age. He has established a precept, and it will not pass away.	6 Assigned them duties forever, gave them tasks that will never change.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth: you dragons and all deep places,	7 Praise the LORD from the earth, you sea monsters and all deep waters;
8 fire, hail, snow, ice, windstorms, which do his word,	8 You lightning and hail, snow and clouds, storm winds that fulfill his command;
9 mountains and all hills, fruitful trees and all cedars,	9 You mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars;
10 wild beasts and all cattle, serpents and feathered flying things,	10 You animals wild and tame, you creatures that crawl and fly;
11 kings of the earth and all peoples, leaders and all judges of the earth,	11 You kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all who govern on earth;
12 young men and virgins. Let the older men with the younger men, praise the name of the Lord.	12 Young men and women too, old and young alike.
13 For his name alone is exalted.	13 Let them all praise the LORD'S name, for his name alone is exalted, majestic above earth and heaven.
14 Confession of him is beyond heaven and earth, and he has exalted the horn of his people. A hymn to all his holy ones, to the sons of Israel, to a people close to him. Alleluia.	14 The LORD has lifted high the horn of his people; to the glory of all the faithful, of Israel, the people near to their God. Hallelujah!
