Psalms 11

1 Unto the end. For the octave. A Psalm of David.	1 Εις τον πρωτον μουσικον. Ψαλμος του Δαβιδ.>> Επι τον Κυριον πεποιθα? πως λεγετε εις την ψυχην μου, Φευγε εις το ορος σας, ως πτηνον;
2 Save me, O Lord, because holiness has passed away, because truths have been diminished, before the sons of men.	2 Διοτι, ιδου, οι ασεβεις ενετειναν τοξον? ητοιμασαν τα βελη αυτων επι την χορδην, δια να τοξευσωσιν εν σκοτει τους ευθεις την καρδιαν.
3 They have been speaking emptiness, each one to his neighbor; they have been speaking with deceitful lips and a duplicitous heart.	3 Εαν τα θεμελια καταστραφωσιν, ο δικαιος τι δυναται να καμη;
4 May the Lord scatter all deceitful lips, along with the tongue that speaks malice.	4 Ο Κυριος ειναι εν τω ναω τω αγιω αυτου? ο Κυριος εν τω ουρανω εχει τον θρονον αυτου? οι οφθαλμοι αυτου βλεπουσι, τα βλεφαρα αυτου εξεταζουσι, τους υιους των ανθρωπων.
5 They have said: “We will magnify our tongue; our lips belong to us. What is Lord to us?”	5 Ο Κυριος εξεταζει τον δικαιον? τον δε ασεβη και τον αγαπωντα την αδικιαν μισει η ψυχη αυτου.
6 Because of the misery of the destitute and the groaning of the poor, now I will arise, says the Lord. I will place him in safety. I will act faithfully toward him.	6 Θελει βρεξει επι τους ασεβεις παγιδας? πυρ και θειον και ανεμοζαλη ειναι η μερις του ποτηριου αυτων.
7 The eloquence of the Lord is pure eloquence, silver tested by fire, purged from the earth, refined seven times.	7 Διοτι δικαιος ων ο Κυριος, αγαπα δικαιοσυνην? το προσωπον αυτου βλεπει ευθυτητα.
8 You, O Lord, will preserve us, and you will guard us from this generation into eternity.
9 The impious wander aimlessly. According to your loftiness, you have multiplied the sons of men.
