1 Corinthians 6

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Is one of you with a complaint against another so brazen as to seek judgement from sinners and notfrom God's holy people?	1 ¡Cómo es posible que cuando uno de ustedes tiene algún conflicto con otro, se atreve a reclamar justicia a los injustos, en lugar de someterse al juicio de los santos?
2 Do you not realise that the holy people of God are to be the judges of the world? And if the world is tobe judged by you, are you not competent for petty cases?	2 ¿No saben ustedes que los santos juzgarán al mundo? Y si el mundo va a ser juzgado por ustedes, ¿cómo no van a ser capaces de juzgar asuntos de mínima importancia?
3 Do you not realise that we shal be the judges of angels? - then quite certainly over matters of this life.	3 ¿Ignoran que vamos a juzgar a los mismos ángeles? Con mayor razón entonces, los asuntos de esta vida.
4 But when you have matters of this life to be judged, you bring them before those who are of no accountin the Church!	4 ¡Y pensar que cuando ustedes tienen litigios, buscan como jueces a los que no son nadie para la Iglesia!
5 I say this to make you ashamed of yourselves. Can it real y be that it is impossible to find in thecommunity one sensible person capable of deciding questions between brothers,	5 Lo digo para avergonzarlos: ¡por lo visto, no hay entre ustedes ni siquiera un hombre sensato, que sea capaz de servir de árbitro entre sus hermanos!
6 and that this is why brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers?	6 ¡Un hermano pleitea con otro, y esto, delante de los que no creen!
7 No; it is a fault in you, by itself, that one of you should go to law against another at al : why do you notprefer to suffer injustice, why not prefer to be defrauded?	7 Ya está mal que haya litigios entre ustedes: ¿acaso no es preferible sufrir la injusticia o ser despojado?
8 And here you are, doing the injustice and the defrauding, and to your own brothers.	8 Pero no, ustedes mismos son los que cometen injusticias y defraudan a los demás, ¡y esto entre hermanos!
9 Do you not realise that people who do evil wil never inherit the kingdom of God? Make no mistake --the sexual y immoral, idolaters, adulterers, the self-indulgent, sodomites,	9 ¿Ignoran que los injustos no heredarán el Reino de Dios? No se hagan ilusiones: ni los inmorales, ni los idólatras, ni los adúlteros, ni los afeminados, ni los pervertidos,
10 thieves, misers, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers, none of these wil inherit the kingdom of God.	10 ni los ladrones, ni los avaros, ni los bebedores, ni los difamadores, ni los usurpadores heredarán el Reino de Dios.
11 Some of you used to be of that kind: but you have been washed clean, you have been sanctified, andyou have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and through the Spirit of our God.	11 Algunos de ustedes fueron así, pero ahora han sido purificados, santificados y justiciados en el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo y por Espíritu de nuestro Dios.
12 'For me everything is permissible'; maybe, but not everything does good. True, for me everything ispermissible, but I am determined not to be dominated by anything.	12 «Todo me está permitido», pero no todo es conveniente. Todo me está permitido», pero no me dejaré dominar por nada.
13 Foods are for the stomach, and the stomach is for foods; and God wil destroy them both. But thebody is not for sexual immorality;	13 Los alimentos son para el estómago y el estómago para los alimentos, y Dios destruirá a ambos. Pero el cuerpo no es para la fornicación, sino para el Señor, y el Señor es para el cuerpo.
14 it is for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body. God raised up the Lord and he will raise us up too by hispower.	14 Y Dios que resucitó al Señor, nos resucitará también a nosotros con su poder.
15 Do you not realise that your bodies are members of Christ's body; do you think one can take parts ofChrist's body and join them to the body of a prostitute? Out of the question!	15 ¿No saben acaso que sus cuerpos son miembros de Cristo? ¿Cómo voy a tomar los miembros de Cristo para convertirlos en miembros de una prostituta? De ninguna manera.
16 Or do you not realise that anyone who attaches himself to a prostitute is one body with her, since thetwo, as it is said, become one flesh.	16 ¿No saben que el que se une a una prostituta, se hace un solo cuerpo con ella? Porque dice la Escritura: Los dos serán una sola carne.
17 But anyone who attaches himself to the Lord is one spirit with him.	17 En cambio, el que se une al Señor se hace un solo espíritu con él.
18 Keep away from sexual immorality. Al other sins that people may commit are done outside the body;but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.	18 Eviten la fornicación. Cualquier otro pecado cometido por el hombre es exterior a su cuerpo, pero el que fornica peca contra su propio cuerpo.
19 Do you not realise that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you and whom youreceived from God?	19 ¿O no saben que sus cuerpos son templo del espíritu Santo, que habita en ustedes y que han recibido de Dios? Por lo tanto, ustedes no se pertenecen,
20 You are not your own property, then; you have been bought at a price. So use your body for the gloryof God.	20 sino que han sido comprados, ¡y a qué precio! Glorifiquen entonces a Dios en sus cuerpos.
