1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth so that no wind could blow on land or sea or against any tree.	1 Depois disto vi quatro anjos que estavam de pé sobre os quatro ângulos da terra, detendo os quatro ventos da terra, para que não soprassem sobre a terra, nem sobre o mar, nem sobre árvore alguma.
2 Then I saw another angel come up from the East, holding the seal of the living God. He cried out in a loud voice to the four angels who were given power to damage the land and the sea,	2 E vi outro anjo que subia do oriente e tinha o selo do Deus vivo, qual (anjo) clamou em alta voz aos outros quatro, a quem fora dado o poder de fazer mal à terra e ao mar,
3 "Do not damage the land or the sea or the trees until we put the seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God."	3 dizendo: "Não façais mal à terra, nem ao mar, nem às árvores, até que assinalemos, sobre a sua fronte, os servos do nosso Deus."
4 I heard the number of those who had been marked with the seal, one hundred and forty-four thousand marked from every tribe of the Israelites:	4 E ouvi o número dos que foram assinalados, (que eram) cento e quarenta e quatro mil, de todas as tribos dos filhos de Israel:
5 twelve thousand were marked from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand from the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand from the tribe of Gad,	5 da tribo de Judá, doze mil assinalados; da tribo de Ruben, doze mil; da tribo de Gad, doze mil;
6 twelve thousand from the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand from the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand from the tribe of Manasseh,	6 da tribo de Aser, doze mil; da tribo de Neftali, doze mil; da tribo de Manassés, doze mil;
7 twelve thousand from the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand from the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand from the tribe of Issachar,	7 da tribo de Simeão, doze mil; da tribo de Levi, doze mil; da tribo de Issacar, doze mil;
8 twelve thousand from the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand from the tribe of Joseph, and twelve thousand were marked from the tribe of Benjamin.	8 da tribo de Zabulon, doze mil; da tribo de José, doze mil; da tribo de Benjamim, doze mil assinalados.
9 After this I had a vision of a great multitude, which no one could count, from every nation, race, people, and tongue. They stood before the throne and before the Lamb, wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.	9 Depois disto, vi aparecer uma grande multidão, que ninguém podia contar, de todas as nações, tribos, povos e línguas, que estavam em pé diante do trono e diante do Cordeiro, revestidos de vestiduras brancas, com palmas nas suas mãos.
10 They cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne, and from the Lamb."	10 E clamavam em alta voz, dizendo: "A salvação ao nosso Deus, que está sentado sobre o trono, e ao Cordeiro!"
11 All the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They prostrated themselves before the throne, worshiped God,	11 Todos os anjos estavam de pé, em volta do trono, dos anciães e dos quatro animais, e prostraram-se sobre os seus rostos, diante do trono, e adoraram a Deus,
12 and exclaimed: "Amen. Blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor, power, and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen."	12 dizendo: "Amen! Bênção, glória, sabedoria, acção de graças, honra, poder e fortaleza, ao nosso Deus, pelos séculos dos séculos! Amen!"
13 Then one of the elders spoke up and said to me, "Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?"	13 Então um dos anciães, tomando a palavra, disse-me: "Estes, que estão revestidos de vestiduras brancas, quem são? Donde vieram?"
14 I said to him, "My lord, you are the one who knows." He said to me, "These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.	14 Respondi-lhe: "Meu Senhor, tu o sabes." E ele disse-me: "Estes são aqueles que vêm da grande tribulação; lavaram as suas vestes e as embranqueceram no sangue do Cordeiro.
15 "For this reason they stand before God's throne and worship him day and night in his temple. The one who sits on the throne will shelter them.	15 Por isso estão diante do trono de Deus, e o servem de dia e de noite no seu templo. O que está sentado sobre o trono os abrigará sob o seu tabernáculo;
16 They will not hunger or thirst anymore, nor will the sun or any heat strike them.	16 não terão mais fome nem sede, nem cairá sobre eles o sol, nem calor algum,
17 For the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of life-giving water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."	17 porque o Cordeiro, que está no meio do trono, os apascentará e levará às fontes das águas da vida; e Deus enxugará toda a lágrima dos seus olhos."
