Micah 3

NEW AMERICAN BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 And I said: Hear, you leaders of Jacob, rulers of the house of Israel! Is it not your duty to know what is right,	1 Puis je dis: Ecoutez donc, chefs de la maison de Jacob et commandants de la maison d'Israël! N'est-ce pas à vous de connaître le droit,
2 you who hate what is good, and love evil? You who tear their skin from them, and their flesh from their bones!	2 vous qui haïssez le bien et aimez le mal, (qui leur arrachez la peau, et la chair de sur leurs os)!
3 They eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from them, and break their bones. They chop them in pieces like flesh in a kettle, and like meat in a caldron.	3 Ceux qui ont dévoré la chair de mon peuple, et lui ont arraché la peau et brisé les os, qui l'ontdéchiré comme chair dans la marmite et comme viande en plein chaudron,
4 When they cry to the LORD, he shall not answer them; Rather shall he hide his face from them at that time, because of the evil they have done.	4 alors, ils crieront vers Yahvé, mais il ne leur répondra pas. Il leur cachera sa face en ce temps-là, àcause des crimes qu'ils ont commis.
5 Thus says the LORD regarding the prophets who lead my people astray; Who, when their teeth have something to bite, announce peace, But when one fails to put something in their mouth, proclaim war against him.	5 Ainsi parle Yahvé contre les prophètes qui égarent mon peuple: S'ils ont quelque chose entre lesdents, ils proclament: "Paix!" Mais à qui ne leur met rien dans la bouche ils déclarent la guerre.
6 Therefore you shall have night, not vision, darkness, not divination; The sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be dark for them.	6 C'est pourquoi la nuit pour vous sera sans vision, les ténèbres pour vous sans divination. Le soleil vase coucher pour les prophètes et le jour s'obscurcir pour eux.
7 Then shall the seers be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; They shall cover their lips, all of them, because there is no answer from God.	7 Alors les voyants seront couverts de honte et les devins de confusion; tous, ils se couvriront leslèvres, car il n'y aura pas de réponse de Dieu.
8 But as for me, I am filled with power, with the spirit of the LORD, with authority and with might; To declare to Jacob his crimes and to Israel his sins.	8 Moi, au contraire, je suis plein de force (et du souffle de Yahvé), de justice et de courage, pourproclamer à Jacob son crime, à Israël son péché.
9 Hear this, you leaders of the house of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel! You who abhor what is just, and pervert all that is right;	9 Ecoutez donc ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob et commandants de la maison d'Israël, vous quiexécrez la justice et qui tordez tout ce qui est droit,
10 Who build up Zion with bloodshed, and Jerusalem with wickedness!	10 vous qui construisez Sion avec le sang et Jérusalem avec le crime!
11 Her leaders render judgment for a bribe, her priests give decisions for a salary, her prophets divine for money, While they rely on the LORD, saying, "Is not the LORD in the midst of us? No evil can come upon us!"	11 Ses chefs jugent pour des présents, ses prêtres décident pour un salaire, ses prophètes vaticinent àprix d'argent. Et c'est sur Yahvé qu'ils s'appuient! Ils disent: "Yahvé n'est-il pas au milieu de nous? Le malheurne tombera pas sur nous."
12 Therefore, because of you, Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem reduced to rubble, And the mount of the temple to a forest ridge.	12 C'est pourquoi, par votre faute, Sion deviendra une terre de labour, Jérusalem un monceau dedécombres, et la montagne du Temple une hauteur boisée.
