Hosea 5

1 Hear this, O priests, Pay attention, O house of Israel, O household of the king, give ear! It is you who are called to judgment. For you have become a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.	1 Escuchad esto, sacerdotes, estad atentos, casa de Israel, casa real, prestad oído, porque el juicio es cosa vuestra; pero vosotros habéis sido un lazo en Mispá, y una red tendida en el Tabor.
2 In their perversity they have sunk into wickedness, and I am rejected by them all.	2 Han ahondado la fosa de Sittim, mas yo seré castigo para todos ellos.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; Now Ephraim has played the harlot, Israel is defiled.	3 Yo conozco a Efraím, e Israel no se me oculta. Sí, tú te has prostituido, Efraím, e Israel se ha contaminado,
4 Their deeds do not allow them to return to their God; For the spirit of harlotry is in them, and they do not recognize the LORD.	4 No les permiten sus obras volver a su Dios, pues un espíritu de prostitución hay dentro de ellos, y no conocen a Yahveh.
5 The arrogance of Israel bears witness against him; Ephraim stumbles in his guilt, and Judah stumbles with them.	5 El orgullo de Israel testifica contra él; Israel y Efraím tropiezan por sus culpas, y también Judá tropieza con ellos.
6 With their flocks and their herds they shall go to seek the LORD, but they shall not find him; he has withdrawn himself from them.	6 Con su ganado menor y mayor irán en busca de Yahveh, pero no lo encontrarán: ¡se ha retirado de ellos!
7 They have been untrue to the LORD, for they have begotten illegitimate children; Now shall the new moon devour them together with their fields.	7 Han sido infieles a Yahveh, han engrendado hijos bastardos; pues ahora los va a devorar el novilunio juntamente con sus campos.
8 Blow the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah! Sound the alarm in Beth-aven: "Look behind you, O Benjamin!"	8 Tocad el cuerno en Guibeá, la trompeta en Ramá, dad la alarma en Bet Aven, ¡detrás de ti, Benjamín!
9 Ephraim shall become a waste on the day of chastisement: Against the tribes of Israel I announce what is sure to be.	9 Efraím será una desolación el día del castigo; en las tribus de Israel hago saber cosa segura.
10 The princes of Judah have become like those that move a boundary line; Upon them I will pour out my wrath like water.	10 Los príncipes de Judá son como los que desplazan los linderos, sobre ellos voy a derramar como agua mi furor.
11 Is Ephraim maltreated, his rights violated? No, he has willingly gone after filth!	11 Está oprimido Efraím, quebrantado el juicio, porque se complace en ir tras la Vanidad.
12 I am like a moth for Ephraim, like maggots for the house of Judah.	12 Pues yo he de ser como polilla para Efraím, como carcoma para la casa de Judá.
13 When Ephraim saw his infirmity, and Judah his sore, Ephraim went to Assyria, and Judah sent to the great king. But he cannot heal you nor take away your sore.	13 Efraím ha visto su dolencia y Judá su llaga. Efraím entonces ha sido a Asiria, y Judá ha mandado mensaje al gran rey; pero éste no podrá sanaros ni curar vuestra llaga.
14 For I am like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah; It is I who rend the prey and depart, I carry it away and no one can save it from me.	14 Porque yo soy como un león para Efraím, como un leoncillo para la casa de Judá. Yo, yo mismo desgarraré y me iré, arrebataré y no habrá quien salve.
15 I will go back to my place until they pay for their guilt and seek my presence.	15 Voy a volverme a mi lugar, hasta que hayan expiado y busquen mi rostro. En su angustia me buscarán.
