1 לכן אני מעיד בך נגד האלהים ונגד אדנינו ישוע המשיח הבא לשפט את החיים ואת המתים בהופעתו ובמלכותו	1 Before God and before Christ Jesus who is to be judge of the living and the dead, I charge you, in thename of his appearing and of his kingdom:
2 הכרז את הדבר והתמד בין בעתו בין שלא בעתו הוכח וגער והזהר בכל ארך רוח והוראה	2 proclaim the message and, welcome or unwelcome, insist on it. Refute falsehood, correct error, giveencouragement -- but do all with patience and with care to instruct.
3 כי בוא תבא העת אשר לא יכילו את הלקח הבריא כי אם כאות נפשם יקבצו להם מורים לשעשעי אזנים	3 The time is sure to come when people wil not accept sound teaching, but their ears wil be itching foranything new and they wil col ect themselves a whole series of teachers according to their own tastes;
4 ויטו אזניהם מן האמת ויפנו אל ההגדות	4 and then they will shut their ears to the truth and wil turn to myths.
5 אבל אתה היה ער בכל סבל הרעות ועשה מלאכת המבשר ומלא את שרותך	5 But you must keep steady al the time; put up with suffering; do the work of preaching the gospel; fulfilthe service asked of you.
6 כי עתה זה אסך נסך ועת פטירתי הגיעה	6 As for me, my life is already being poured away as a libation, and the time has come for me to depart.
7 המלחמה הטובה נלחמתי את המרוצה השלמתי את האמונה שמרתי	7 I have fought the good fight to the end; I have run the race to the finish; I have kept the faith;
8 ומעתה שמור לי כתר הצדקה אשר ביום ההוא יתננו לי האדון השפט הצדיק ולא לי לבדי כי גם לכל אהבי הופעתו	8 al there is to come for me now is the crown of uprightness which the Lord, the upright judge, wil give tome on that Day; and not only to me but to al those who have longed for his appearing.
9 חושה לבוא אלי במהרה	9 Make every effort to come and see me as soon as you can.
10 כי דימס עזבני באהבתו את העולם הזה וילך לו לתסלוניקי וקריסקיס הלך לגלטיא וטיטוס לדלמטיא	10 As it is, Demas has deserted me for love of this life and gone to Thessalonica, Crescens has gone toGalatia and Titus to Dalmatia;
11 ולוקס הוא לבדו עמדי קח את מרקוס והביאהו אתך כי יועיל לי למאד לעבודה	11 only Luke is with me. Bring Mark with you; I find him a useful helper in my work.
12 את טוכיקוס שלחתי לאפסוס	12 I have sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
13 את המטפחת שהנחתי בטרואס אצל קרפוס הביאהו אתך בבואך ואף את הספרים ובפרט את המגלות של קלף	13 When you come, bring the cloak I left with Carpus in Troas, and the scrol s, especially the parchmentones.
14 אלכסנדר חרש הנחשת עשה לי רעות רבות ישלם לו יהוה כמעשיו	14 Alexander the coppersmith has done me a lot of harm; the Lord wil repay him as his deeds deserve.
15 וגם אתה השמר לך ממנו כי מרו מרה את דברינו	15 Be on your guard against him yourself, because he has been bitterly contesting everything that we say.
16 בהתנצלותי הראשונה לא היה איש לעזרני כי כלם עזבוני אל יחשב להם עון	16 The first time I had to present my defence, no one came into court to support me. Every one of themdeserted me -- may they not be held accountable for it.
17 אבל האדון הוא עזרני וחזקני למען תשלם על ידי הבשורה וישמעוה כל הגוים ואנצל מפי אריה	17 But the Lord stood by me and gave me power, so that through me the message might be ful yproclaimed for al the gentiles to hear; and so I was saved from the lion's mouth.
18 ויצילני האדון מכל מעשה רע ויושיעני אל מלכותו שבשמים לו הכבוד לעולמי עולמים אמן	18 The Lord will rescue me from all evil attempts on me, and bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. Tohim be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
19 שאל לשלום פריסקה ועקילס ובית אניסיפורוס	19 Greetings to Prisca and Aquila, and the family of Onesiphorus.
20 ארסטוס נשאר בקורנתוס ואת טרופימוס הנחתי חולה במילטוס	20 Erastus stayed behind at Corinth, and I left Trophimus il at Miletus.
21 חושה לבוא לפני הסתיו אובולוס ופודיס ולינוס וקלודיה והאחים כלם שאלים לשלומך	21 Make every effort to come before the winter. Greetings to you from Eubulus, Pudens, Linus, Claudiaand all the brothers.
22 אדנינו ישוע המשיח יהי עם רוחך החסד עמכם אמן	22 The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you.
