1 John 2

KING JAMES BIBLE	JERUSALEM
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:	1 Petits enfants, je vous écris ceci pour que vous ne péchiez pas. Mais si quelqu'un vient à pécher, nousavons comme avocat auprès du Père Jésus Christ, le Juste.
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.	2 C'est lui qui est victime de propitiation pour nos péchés, non seulement pour les nôtres, mais aussipour ceux du monde entier.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.	3 A ceci nous savons que nous le connaissons: si nous gardons ses commandements.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.	4 Qui dit: "Je le connais", alors qu'il ne garde pas ses commandements est un menteur, et la vérité n'estpas en lui.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.	5 Mais celui qui garde sa parole, c'est en lui vraiment que l'amour de Dieu est accompli. A cela noussavons que nous sommes en lui.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.	6 Celui qui prétend demeurer en lui doit se conduire à son tour comme celui-là s'est conduit.
7 Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.	7 Bien-aimés, ce n'est pas un commandement nouveau que je vous écris, c'est un commandementancien, que vous avez reçu dès le début. Ce commandement ancien est la parole que vous avez entendue.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.	8 Et néanmoins, encore une fois, c'est un commandement nouveau que je vous écris - ce qui est vraipour vous comme pour lui - puisque les ténèbres s'en vont et que la véritable lumière brille déjà.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.	9 Celui qui prétend être dans la lumière tout en haïssant son frère est encore dans les ténèbres.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.	10 Celui qui aime son frère demeure dans la lumière et il n'y a en lui aucune occasion de chute.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.	11 Mais celui qui hait son frère est dans les ténèbres, il marche dans les ténèbres, il ne sait où il va,parce que les ténèbres ont aveuglé ses yeux.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.	12 Je vous écris, petits enfants, parce que vos péchés vous sont remis par la vertu de son nom.
13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.	13 Je vous écris, pères, parce que vous connaissez celui qui est dès le commencement. Je vous écris,jeunes gens, parce que vous avez vaincu le Mauvais.
14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.	14 Je vous ai écrit, petits enfants, parce que vous connaissez le Père. Je vous ai écrit, pères, parce quevous connaissez celui qui est dès le commencement. Je vous ai écrit, jeunes gens, parce que vous êtes forts, quela parole de Dieu demeure en vous et que vous avez vaincu le Mauvais.
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.	15 N'aimez ni le monde ni ce qui est dans le monde. Si quelqu'un aime le monde, l'amour du Père n'estpas en lui.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.	16 Car tout ce qui est dans le monde - la convoitise de la chair, la convoitise des yeux et l'orgueil de larichesse - vient non pas du Père, mais du monde.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.	17 Or le monde passe avec ses convoitises; mais celui qui fait la volonté de Dieu demeureéternellement.
18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.	18 Petits enfants, voici venue la dernière heure. Vous avez ouï dire que l'Antichrist doit venir; et déjàmaintenant beaucoup d'antichrists sont survenus: à quoi nous reconnaissons que la dernière heure est là.
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.	19 Ils sont sortis de chez nous, mais ils n'étaient pas des nôtres. S'ils avaient été des nôtres, ils seraientrestés avec nous. Mais il fallait que fût démontré que tous n'étaient pas des nôtres.
20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.	20 Quant à vous, vous avez reçu l'onction venant du Saint, et tous vous possédez la science.
21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.	21 Je vous ai écrit, non que vous ignoriez la vérité, mais parce que vous la connaissez et qu'aucunmensonge ne provient de la vérité.
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.	22 Qui est le menteur, sinon celui qui nie que Jésus soit le Christ? Le voilà l'Antichrist! Il nie le Père etle Fils.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.	23 Quiconque nie le Fils ne possède pas non plus le Père. Qui confesse le Fils possède aussi le Père.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.	24 Pour vous, que ce que vous avez entendu dès le début demeure en vous. Si en vous demeure ce quevous avez entendu dès le début, vous aussi, vous demeurerez dans le Fils et dans le Père.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.	25 Or telle est la promesse que lui-même vous a faite: la vie éternelle.
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.	26 Voilà ce que j'ai tenu à vous écrire au sujet de ceux qui cherchent à vous égarer.
27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.	27 Quant à vous, l'onction que vous avez reçue de lui demeure en vous, et vous n'avez pas besoin qu'onvous enseigne. Mais puisque son onction vous instruit de tout, qu'elle est véridique, non mensongère, commeelle vous a instruits, demeurez en lui.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.	28 Oui, maintenant, demeurez en lui, petits enfants, pour que, s'il venait à paraître, nous ayons pleineassurance, et non point la honte de nous trouver loin de lui à son Avènement.
29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.	29 Si vous savez qu'il est juste, reconnaissez que quiconque pratique la justice est né de lui.
