1 Corinthians 5

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.	1 On n'entend parler que d'inconduite parmi vous, et d'une inconduite telle qu'il n'en existe pasmême chez les païens; c'est à ce point que l'un de vous vit avec la femme de son père!
2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.	2 Et vous êtes gonflés d'orgueil! Et vous n'avez pas plutôt pris le deuil, pour qu'on enlevât dumilieu de vous celui qui a commis cet acte!
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,	3 Eh bien! moi, absent de corps, mais présent d'esprit, j'ai déjà jugé, comme si j'étais présent,celui qui a perpétré une telle action.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,	4 Il faut qu'au nom du Seigneur Jésus, vous et mon esprit nous étant assemblés avec lapuissance de notre Seigneur Jésus,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.	5 nous livrions cet individu à Satan pour la perte de sa chair, afin que l'esprit soit sauvé au Jourdu Seigneur.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?	6 Il n'y a pas de quoi vous glorifier! Ne savez-vous pas qu'un peu de levain fait lever toute lapâte?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:	7 Purifiez-vous du vieux levain pour être une pâte nouvelle, puisque vous êtes des azymes. Carnotre pâque, le Christ, a été immolée.
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	8 Ainsi donc, célébrons la fête, non pas avec du vieux levain de malice et de méchanceté, maisavec des azymes de pureté et de vérité.
9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:	9 En vous écrivant, dans ma lettre, de n'avoir pas de relations avec des débauchés,
10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.	10 je n'entendais nullement les débauchés de ce monde, ou bien les cupides et les rapaces, ou lesidolâtres; car il vous faudrait alors sortir du monde.
11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.	11 Non, je vous ai écrit de n'avoir pas de rapports avec celui qui, tout en portant le nom de frère,serait débauché, cupide, idolâtre, insulteur, ivrogne ou rapace, et même, avec un tel homme, de ne point prendrede repas.
12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?	12 Qu'ai-je à faire en effet de juger ceux du dehors? N'est-ce pas ceux du dedans que vousjugez, vous?
13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.	13 Ceux du dehors, c'est Dieu qui les jugera. Enlevez le mauvais du milieu de vous.
