Deuteronomy 10

1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.	1 Naquele tempo o Senhor disse-me: Corta duas tábuas de pedra iguais às primeiras, e sobe a mim ao monte; faze também uma arca de madeira.
2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.	2 Eu escreverei nestas tábuas as palavras que estavam naquelas que tu quebrastes antes, e tu guardá-las-ás na arca,
3 And I made an ark of shittim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.	3 Eu, pois, fiz uma arca de pau de acácia. Tendo cortado duas tábuas de pedra como as primeiras, subi ao monte com elas nas mãos.
4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.	4 O (Senhor) escreveu nestas tábuas, como tinha escrito nas primeiras, as dez palavras que tinha dito sobre o monte, do meio do fogo, estando o povo junto, e deu-mas.
5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.	5 Voltando do monte, desci e pus as tábuas na arca que tinha feito, e elas lá estão hoje, como o Senhor me ordenou.
6 And the children of Israel took their journey from Beeroth of the children of Jaakan to Mosera: there Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.	6 Os filhos de Israel transportaram os acampamentos de Boroth, (que era) dos filhos de Jacan, a Mosera, onde morreu e foi sepultado Aarão, em lugar do qual Eleázaro, seu filho, exerceu as funções do sacerdócio.
7 From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a land of rivers of waters.	7 De lá passaram a Gadgad, e, tendo partido deste lugar, foram acampar em Jetebata, terra de águas e de torrentes.
8 At that time the LORD separated the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to stand before the LORD to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.	8 Naquele tempo (o Senhor) separou a tribo de Levi, para levar a arca da aliança do Senhor, para estar na sua presença, para o Servir e bem-dizer em seu nome até ao dia de hoje.
9 Wherefore Levi hath no part nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD is his inheritance, according as the LORD thy God promised him.	9 Por isso Levi não teve parte nem herança com seus irmãos, porque o Senhor mesmo é a herança, como lhe prometeu o Senhor teu Deus.
10 And I stayed in the mount, according to the first time, forty days and forty nights; and the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also, and the LORD would not destroy thee.	10 Eu estive sobre o monte, como antes, quarenta dias e quarenta noites, e o Senhor ouviu-me também esta vez, não quis exterminar-te,
11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.	11 e disse-me: Vai e marcha diante do teu povo, para que entre e possua a terra que eu jurei a seus pais dar-lhes.
12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,	12 E agora, ó Israel, que é o que o Senhor teu Deus pede de ti, senão que temas o Senhor teu Deus, andando nos seus caminhos, amando e servindo o Senhor teu Deus de todo o teu coração e de toda a tua alma,
13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?	13 observando os mandamentos do Senhor e as suas leis que hoje te prescrevo, para que sejas feliz?
14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.	14 Repara que o céu é do Senhor teu Deus, assim como o céu dos céus, a terra e tudo o que há nela.
15 Only the LORD had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.	15 Não obstante isto, o Senhor uniu-se estreitamente a teus pais e amou-os, e escolheu a sua linhagem depois deles, isto é, a vós, dentre todas as nações, como hoje está provado.
16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.	16 Circuncidai, pois, o vosso coração, e não endureçais mais a vossa cerviz.
17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:	17 porque o Senhor vosso Deus é o Deus dos deuses, o Senhor dos senhores, o Deus grande, poderoso, e terrível, que não faz acepção de pessoas, nem (recebe) presentes.
18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.	18 EIe faz justiça ao órfão e à viúva, ama o peregrino e dá-lhe o sustento e vestuário.
19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.	19 Amai vós, também, os estrangeiros, porque fostes estrangeiros na terra do Egipto.
20 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou cleave, and swear by his name.	20 Temerás o Senhor teu Deus, só a ele servirás, estarás unido a ele, e jurarás pelo seu nome.
21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.	21 Ele é a tua glória e o teu Deus, que fez por ti estas grandes e terríveis coisas que os teus olhos viram.
22 Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.	22 Em número de setenta pessoas, os teus pais desceram ao Egipto, e agora o Senhor teu Deus multiplicou-te como as estrelas de céu.
