Malachi 2

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.	1 ¡Y ahora, para ustedes es esta advertencia, sacerdotes!
2 If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.	2 Si no escuchan y no se deciden a dar gloria a mi Nombre, dice el Señor de los ejércitos, yo enviaré sobre ustedes la maldición y maldeciré sus bendiciones; ya las he maldecido, porque ustedes no se deciden a hacer eso.
3 Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall take you away with it.	3 Yo les quebraré el brazo, les tiraré estiércol a la cara –el estiércol de sus fiestas– y ustedes serán barridos con él.
4 And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.	4 Entonces sabrán que yo les hice esta advertencia, para que subsista mi alianza con Leví, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.	5 Mi alianza con él era vida y paz, y yo se las concedía; era temor, y él me temía y reverenciaba mi Nombre.
6 The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.	6 La verdadera doctrina estaba en su boca y en sus labios no había maldad; él caminaba conmigo en paz y con rectitud, y apartaba a muchos del mal.
7 For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.	7 Porque los labios del sacerdotes guardan la ciencia y de su boca se busca la instrucción, porque es el mensajero del Señor de los ejércitos.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts.	8 Pero ustedes se han desviado del camino, han hecho tropezar a muchos con su doctrina, han pervertido la alianza con Leví, dice el Señor de los ejércitos.
9 Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.	9 Por eso yo los he hecho despreciables y viles para todo el pueblo, porque ustedes no siguen mis caminos y hacen acepción de personas al aplicar la Ley.
10 Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers?	10 ¿No tenemos todos un solo Padre? ¿No nos ha creado un solo Dios? ¿Por qué nos traicionamos unos a otros, profanando así la alianza de nuestros padres?
11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of the LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god.	11 Judá ha traicionado, y se ha cometido una abominación en Israel y en Jerusalén. Porque Judá ha profanado lo que está consagrado al Señor, lo que él ama, casándose con la hija de un dios extranjero.
12 The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts.	12 Al hombre que hace esto, que el Señor le arranque de los campamentos de Jacob al testigo, al garante y aun al que presenta la ofrenda al Señor de los ejércitos.
13 And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.	13 Ustedes hacen todavía otra cosa: cubren el altar del Señor de lágrimas, llantos y gemidos, porque él no se vuelve más hacia la ofrenda, ni la acepta de las manos de ustedes.
14 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.	14 Y ustedes dicen: «¿Por qué?». Porque el Señor ha sido testigo entre ti y la esposa de tu juventud, a la que tú traicionaste, aunque ella era tu compañera y la mujer de tu alianza.
15 And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.	15 ¿No ha hecho él un solo ser, que tiene carne y espíritu? ¿Y qué busca este único ser? Una descendencia dada por Dios. Tengan cuidado, entonces, de su espíritu y que nadie traicione a la mujer de su juventud.
16 For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.	16 Porque si alguien repudia por aversión, cubre su ropa de violencia, dice el Señor de los ejércitos, el Dios de Israel. Tengan cuidado, entonces, de su espíritu y no traicionen.
17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment?	17 Ustedes cansan al Señor con sus palabras, y dicen: «¿En qué lo cansamos?». Cuando ustedes dicen: «Todo el que obra mal es bien visto por el Señor, y él se complace en ello» o también: «¿Dónde está el Dios de la justicia?».
