Micah 3

1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?	1 Je leur disais: “Écoutez donc, chefs de Jacob et commandants de la maison d’Israël! Ne devriez-vous pas connaître le droit?
2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;	2 Mais vous détestez le bien et vous aimez le mal, vous arrachez aux hommes jusqu’à leur peau et la chair qu’ils ont sur les os.
3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.	3 Ceux qui ont dévoré la chair de mon peuple, qui lui ont arraché la peau et brisé les os, qui le déchirent comme la viande dans la marmite, comme la viande dans un chaudron -
4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.	4 ils pourront crier vers Yahvé mais lui ne leur répondra pas. Il leur cachera son visage en ce temps-là, pour tous les crimes qu’ils ont commis.”
5 Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.	5 Voici que Yahvé parle, contre les prophètes qui égarent mon peuple: “Ils promettent la paix quand on leur met quelque chose sous la dent, mais à ceux qui ne leur donnent rien, ils déclarent la guerre.
6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.	6 C’est pourquoi la nuit vient sur vous: plus de vision! Les ténèbres viennent sur vous: plus de révélation! Le soleil se couche pour les prophètes et leur jour se change en ténèbres.
7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.	7 Les voyants vont être couverts de honte, et ceux qui devinaient l’avenir, couverts de confusion; ils fermeront tous la bouche, ils devront se taire car Dieu ne répondra pas.
8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.	8 Moi au contraire, je suis rempli de force et du souffle de Yahvé, plein de justice et de courage pour dénoncer à Jacob son crime, à Israël son péché.
9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.	9 Écoutez donc ceci, chefs de la maison de Jacob et commandants de la maison d’Israël: “Vous détestez la justice et vous rendez tortueux ce qui est droit.
10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.	10 Vous bâtissez Sion sur du sang et Jérusalem sur le péché.
11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.	11 La justice des chefs dépend du pot-de-vin, l’enseignement du prêtre de ce qu’on lui paye, et le prophète parle quand il a de l’argent. Mais tous ils sont sûrs de Yahvé; ils disent: Yahvé n’est-il pas au milieu de nous? Le malheur ne viendra pas sur nous.
12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.	12 C’est pourquoi, à cause de vous, Sion deviendra un champ à labourer, Jérusalem sera un monceau de ruines; la hauteur du Temple ne sera plus qu’une colline à l’abandon.”
