1 For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,	1 - Perchè, ecco in cotesti giorni e in cotesto tempo, quando ritoglierò Giuda e Gerusalemme dalla servitù,
2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.	2 raccoglierò tutte le genti e le condurrò nella Valle di Giosafat, e deciderò con loro sul conto del mio popolo e della mia eredità, Israele, che esse hanno disperso tra le nazioni, e della mia terra che esse hanno diviso.
3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for an harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.	3 Sopra il mio popolo tirarono le sorti, prostituirono il fanciullo e misero a prezzo la fanciulla, per aver vino da bere.
4 Yea, and what have ye to do with me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the coasts of Palestine? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompence me, swiftly and speedily will I return your recompence upon your own head;	4 Ma anche voi, che cosa siete per me, Tiro e Sidone, e tutti, della frontiera dei Filistei? Me la volete forse ripagare voi? Ah! se v'attentate di ripagarmela, vi rendo io la vostra paga, subito, immediatamente, sulla vostra testa.
5 Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things:	5 Perchè avete tolto il mio argento e il mio oro e le mie cose più preziose e più belle, e le avete trasportate nei vostri santuari!
6 The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border.	6 E i figli di Giuda e di Gerusalemme avete venduti ai figli dei Greci, col fine di bandirli dai loro confini.
7 Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head:	7 Ecco che io li susciterò dal luogo ove li avete venduti, e vi renderò la vostra mercede sulla vostra testa.
8 And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: for the LORD hath spoken it.	8 E venderò i vostri figli e le vostre figlie, mettendoli in mano ai figli di Giuda che li venderanno ai Sabei, gente lontana; perchè il Signore ha parlato.
9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:	9 Gridatelo questo tra le nazioni, bandite una santa guerra, ridestate i prodi, s'avanzino, salgano tutti gli uomini di guerra!
10 Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.	10 Ribattete i vostri vomeri in spade e le vostre zappe in lance; il debole dica: - Io sono forte. -
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.	11 Slanciatevi e venite tutte voi, nazioni circostanti; qui il Signore farà cadere i vostri prodi.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.	12 Si ridestino e salgano le nazioni nella Valle di Giosafat; perchè quivi mi assiderò per giudicare tutte le nazioni circostanti.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.	13 Avanzate le falci, perchè la mèsse è già matura; venite, scendete, perchè il frantoio è pieno, i pressoi traboccano, perchè la loro malizia è molta.
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.	14 Popoli e popoli a turme nella Valle della decisione! Perchè il giorno del Signore è vicino, nella Valle della decisione!
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.	15 Il sole e la luna si oscurarono e le stelle ritirarono il loro splendore.
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.	16 E il Signore da Sion ruggirà, da Gerusalemme alzerà la sua voce, e si smuoveranno i cieli e la terra: il Signore è la speranza del suo popolo e la fortezza d'Israele.
17 So shall ye know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.	17 E conoscerete che il Signore Iddio vostro sono io che abito in Sion, santo monte mio; e Gerusalemme sarà santa, e gli estranei non passeranno più per essa.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim.	18 E avverrà in quel giorno che i monti stilleranno dolcezze e i colli sgorgheranno latte, e per tutti i rivi di Giuda, correranno le acque, e una fonte uscirà dalla casa del Signore e innaffierà tutta la Vallata delle spine.
19 Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.	19 L'Egitto sarà nella desolazione e l'Idumea un deserto di distruzione, per aver trattato iniquamente i figli di Giuda e sparso sul loro suolo il sangue innocente.
20 But Judah shall dwell for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.	20 E Giuda sarà per sempre abitata, e Gerusalemme per generazioni e generazioni.
21 For I will cleanse their blood that I have not cleansed: for the LORD dwelleth in Zion.	21 E farò espiazione del sangue loro che non avevo mondato, e il Signore abiterà in Sion».
